The location was very good, we were able to walk to all the main attractions and there were amble restaurants and convenient stops just outside. The room had a mini fridge and we found a 24 hour shop just a 2 min walk away (walk straight ahead from hotel and you’ll see some veg baskets outside of a tiny shop next to the pizza restaurant) which sold Evian water for 1 euro which was very handy to keep in the room. The bedroom was comfortable for me and my 2 teenage children. There were lots of USB sockets so no conversion plugs were needed. The breakfast was very good and my son was very pleased with the cereal and hot selection which included sausages, bacon and beans.

There was a coffee machine in the room but I’m not a coffee fan. i would have preferred if some tea bags had been provided too.

The property and room were very clean, and the location was great - walking distance from almost everything we wanted to see. The bathroom was very nice and they kept everything well-stocked and spotless.

The internet was barely usable in our room. It frequently disconnected and was not secure, so it prompted warnings on our devices. While this encouraged us to get offline and go explore, it was frustrating not to be able to get online when we needed to, such as for checking in with family or preordering museum tickets. Also, more of a matter of preference/culture: while I like a firm bed and slept great, my partner thought it was very hard. Just something to consider for anyone who needs a softer bed to sleep well.

Hôtel Brésil Opéra was a nice surprise. Very comfy and quiet room, located on the 5th floor, overlooking the street. I had a great night's sleep, and I am quite picky with mattresses, pillows, etc. The room's size is fine for Parisian/French standards. The bathroom was brand new, and generally nothing seemed old. Towels were changed every day. Reception staff some a bit colder, some more enthousiastic and warm. But it's all ok. We aint there to make friends. Unfortunately, I only had breakfast once. It was perfect. Had everything, from cold to hot. Great coffee and fresh orange juice. The location is perfect really. There are tons of restaurants around, the metro station Grands Boulevards is about 2 minutes by foot and you can walk to all the great stores nearby. I definitely recommend it.

Nothing I did not like. This is a 3 star hotel, honoring its category.

I think I got lucky! I was told by the receptionist that the elevator/lift was not working and that the hotel had many, 5+, floors. The most helpful front desk person gave me a room on the first floor, a short flight of stairs to climb. I shudder to think what would have happened had I been given a room on the fourth floor! In any case, once I had that room, everything else was good. Small, but perfectly serviceable, clean, and with a decent bathroom. Surprisingly quiet, given the neighborhood.

As noted above, the lift was not working. Apparently, this was because too many people got into it in the morning. However, it was still not fixed the next day. I recall reading in an earlier review for the hotel that someone else had encountered the same non-functional lift. If this lift routinely breaks down that is something you should factor into your thinking, in case you are assigned a room several flights of stairs up!

Location was very good, close to restaurants and just over 15 mins walking from Gard de Nord. We walked to most places quite comfortably. Staff were friendly. We didn’t eat there as there were enough places nearby for breakfast. Room was surprisingly larger than I expected for a Paris hotel.

There was only one lift in the property that was used by both customers, this was very slow when it was used by the cleaners as well. Every TV channel was in French, would have been good if BBC world news was available in English

The reception s staff ( both ladies ) were superb, helpful and offered many advices about additional places that my grandson ( 11 y old ) would enjoy, and he did But the male receptionist could have been more welcoming Breakfast was good ,for the price it should have been included in the room price

While a little lost ,we stopped at a business for help On entering the hotel address on the google site ,a picture of rooms in the hotel showed up , The price was greatly lower that what we paid thru booking com Which is not the first time I have experienced that when I lived in the US ,but now a UK resident and a French citizen So that inflated price was a bit of a downer

The location was great to reach easily the main attractions in the city. The neighbourhood felt lively and safe to walk around even in late hours, also the hotel is located in a secondary road so away from busy streets traffic. There was the opportunity to have breakfast within, but it is possible to get something on the run given the many options in the neighbourhood for pretty much the same price. The room was surprisingly larger than usual with a dreamy super king size bed! Before arrival we've been asked to fill a form online and some of the questions were about room preferences, which have been accomodated. Check in process was switfly and there is the capacity to hold your luggages (check in and check out too). Overall I would definitely recommend this place for the value.

The only note is the reception mood changed based on receptionist on shift.

Our room was very spacious and clean. There was an air conditioner, fridge and the room was renovated recently. Very big and comfortable bed. Very good bathroom. Cleaning and towel change every day. Very central and convenient location. 20 min walking to most meaningful tourist places like Louvre Museum and D'Orse, Monmartr district and Opera Garnier house. Nice and helpful staff even during night shifts))

Some cutlery and glasses would be useful to have in the room. But staff is helpful and can provide you with necessary things.

Room had a seating area, fridge, plug near bed, two closets, kettle and coffee maker so very well equipped. Bed was firm, which I liked, not sure everyone would. The bathroom was fine. The breakfast was nice and the tables were set up nicely. The lady taking care of the buffet was very efficient.

There was a strong smell in the room when we arrived and sometimes during our six-night stay, so that we had to open the window to get rid of it. Some kind of spray, I think. Breakfast was fine, but the coffee was absolutely awful.

- great location, close to the metro grands boulevards and the opera; many places to have breakfast or dine closeby - rather spacious room, in particular considering Paris room sizes - very well insulated windows, although there was a bar just opposite, the noise was very well cancelled with the windows closed

- windows rather low, meaning the room was not too brightly lit
