Location is great - right next to Metro station. You can walk 3 min longer and get to line 1, which takes to to main attractions in just 15 min. Hotel definitely has character (the little staircase is lovely!)

If you can not carry a big suitcase up and down the stair request a room on 1st or second floor -there is no lift. If you want to check out before 9 am-let them know - reception is not manned between certain hours. Shared bathroom was a problem for me-could never get in. You have to walk upstairs at night..

The metro is literally in front of the hotel, which is very convenient! The staff were super nice and helpful. They take the trash inside our room everyday. The room itself looks like the photo from booking.com :) from the hotel there are 2 nearby supermarket, very convenient!! :) We had a nice stay here!

Maybe wash the curtains, as dust flies every time we open/close the curtains. And also, maybe add 1 more electric fan so that the other person on the other side of the bed doesn’t sweat at night :) but overall it was a nice stay for us.

Location! Next to the metro station. By metro you can go anywhere in the city. Room was small but very cozy, clean and had a nice heating system (also electric heating system in the bathroom). Room had everything we needed and a nice comfortable bed. Lovely cleaners cleaned our room everyday and gave us new shampoos&body wash and coffees (coffee in a room was a nice touch). Also hotel staff were very kind. They even printed some papers for us without extra charge. We had to check in very late due the late night flight but receptionist waited us until we arrived. We had no problems during our stay.

You can hear loud sounds from the street and sometimes it can interrupt your sleep (it didn’t come as a suprise because we read reviews beforehand). Windows and walls are thin. Room got little dusty in a week. Daily floor and surface cleaning would be nice.

First off, ALL of the staff we had the chance to seek assistance from, or to simply get in touch with were both extremely friendly, and efficient in their advice. Then, although it looked and felt like a small feat to climb up to the fourth floor, it actually proved VERY helpful in offering a calm, undisturbed, and indeed noise-free night sleep (due to the height distance from a rather busy traffic lights junction. The room was definitely not the most spacious we have ever stayed in. However, we stayed in only for sleeping. In which case, the bed was comfortable enough for a pair of not-so-fit middle aged couple. And that’s what mattered to us in the end, as far as space and comfort is concerned! The location of the hotel is second to none! An actual 3 meters (10 feet) away from the local metro station (metro station Maraichers, line 9 - follow signs for “sortie 3 - rue d’ Acton”). It may look as a kind of remote station, especially because it doesn’t have a connection with another line. But Line 9 takes drives you through some of the best landmarks and boulevards of Paris, and the hotel/metro station is only a couple of stops away from “Nation”, one of the busiest big squares of Paris. By the way, for those who prefer ground transportation over the metro, Place de la Nation is connected with the hotel through bus 26. The respective bus stops are right in front of Burger King (Nation), and then either outside the hotel (inbound), or right across the hotel entrance (outbound - you need to cross rue d’ Avron)! Leaving the best for last, the obvious renovation of the bathroom really worked miracles, and indeed made the difference for us. Because the super modern and spacious bath renders one’s “tired-to-death” body (and spirit) into a rejuvenated (and ready for a deep sleep) one!

Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner, booked a room with a bathroom but it felt more like a mini apartment. The room was impeccably clean, with fresh towels provided daily, and the bed was made every day. The hotel's location, right outside a metro station, made it convenient to reach the heart of Paris in just 10 minutes. Although we didn't dine at the hotel, the local restaurants in the area were fantastic. Highly recommended!

I had read some negative reviews but I was more than surprised with how lovely this place was!

Cute little room with amenities such as microwave, kettle, table and chairs. Bed was comfy. Fan provided, no air con. Place was clean, shared bathroom kept clean too. Location is pretty good, the metro at front door to get around. Neighbourhood also has lots of food shops, mostly kebabs, bakeries etc. This place was such great value for money. Its nothing fancy but much more affordable than most places we looked at.

The stairs are steep and there is no elevator. This was ok for us, but be mindful of this if you're unable to carry your bags up steep, spiral stairs.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel for two nights, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Not only were they incredibly friendly and accommodating, but they also helped me with any questions or requests I had throughout my stay. They truly went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and more. My room was clean and cozy. Great location. The metro station was right in front of the hotel door, the bus station as well. I cannot wait to come back and visit again soon.

Very nice family driven hotel, the employees are fair and square. Thank you. The neighborhood is mostly Algerian, African. Very friendly people and absolutely no aggressions accross the cultural differencies. Good restaurant just outside Hotel Union (where the picture is taken) and others. Traditionel French food, but altso sushi and tagine. Tip: The more French words you use, the better service you'll have. They don't even have English films on TV, so they need you to at least try so say 'Bonjour', 'Qui' and 'Non'. Good luck.

Very nice hotel with very good value-for-money. The hotel is located right next to the stairs to Metro line 9, which is extremely comfortable when you travel the city. The room was clean, spacious enough, and got cleaned regularly. The staff were really nice and welcoming.

There's no AC in the room. There's no elevator which wasn't a problem for me (was on the 1st floor, just few stairs) but might be if you're staying on upper floors.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and exceptionally well priced hotel. Great location - right in front of a metro station with excellent public transport connections to everywhere you’d want to see in Paris, and also surrounded by some excellent bakeries!

Only two minor issues - we were on the top floor and there’s no lift so we had to go up six flights of stairs to get to our room. This wasn’t really a problem for us as young healthy people but it was a bit tiring! The only other problem was the WiFi stopped working on the last day, we got an error message saying there were too many people using the WiFi so we couldn’t connect.
