I stayed at the Hotel du Continent for 2 nights as a stopover and I was so pleased with the accommodation. The location is central and there are trains close to get virtually anywhere or you could just walk the beautiful streets. The room was small but no smaller than any other average hotel in Paris. Clean bathroom and good water pressure with hot water. Bed was comfy. Room was extremely quiet. This was absolutely all I needed as a single traveler. I did have breakfast one morning and it was perfect - a basket of bread, selection of jams, cheese and tea or coffee. The staff were super helpful and went above and beyond with any requests I had! Would so stay here again.

Very good location to Place de la Concorde in a more quiet neighbourhood, despite being so close to the bustling city life. Reception incredibly friendly and I really liked they asked beforehand through email if I needed any restaurant tips and if I needed something in my room, like an ironing board. It’s incredibly efficient and shows good engaging service. Room was very clean and had everything I needed.

The air conditioning worked very well (it was 32 degrees outside, but inside none of that was not noticeable, which I really liked: I want a cooled off room). It however blows heavily on the bed, which makes sleeping somewhat difficult if you’re not used to it.

For value in terms of location this hotel was truly excellent. We were equally between the Tuileries and Place Vendome, exactly where we wanted to stay. An easy walk from Opera or Tuileries Metro. The beds were so comfortable and whilst the room was bijoux it was well appointed, clean and quiet. Wifi was good. Staff were above and beyond, friendly and helpful. Will stay there again. The area was safe, clean and the ideal location for the sights we wanted to see.

We said to the staff as we left, they could use a heated towel rail in the bathroom so we could re-use wet towels. That aside we had no issue.

Such a terrific location: close to both sites and shopping, but also a bit away from the busier side streets making it not so hectic. Really wonderful staff--they were in contact prior to our stay to clarify a few small issues and were extremely helpful throughout our short visit.

Picking nits here, but carpeting in hotel rooms--and especially heavy, shaggy carpet as found here--is off-putting and quite frankly disgusting. I know that the French like carpeting, but at least in a hotel, make it cut-pile.

couldn't have been better. tiny single room, but I expected that and it was efficiently laid out, nicely decorated, cozy, and I would happy choose it next time. I especially appreciated that most of the staff did not switch to English and let me practice to improve my French (though they spoke English to those who preferred it). Merci beaucoup!! it made my stay "perfect", as I am trying so hard to learn and that is a big part of the France experience for me that I cannot get at home.

I like this hotel very much. we stayed there for 4 nights in May in a room with a street view, that was beautiful and look nearly renovated. I want to say thank you to the wonderful front desk lady, Cecile. she speaks excellent English and she gave us best possible accommodation. Overall our stay was great, we will be back to the same hotel again.

The location was brilliant. Very close to metro station but also easy to walk to major attractions such as the Louvre. A tasty breakfast of bread and pastries with lovely service. Friendly and helpful staff on reception who had already sent useful information by email. Small but comfortable rooms quirkily decorated.

Nothing really although tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been a bonus.

This hotel is in THE best location but honestly nothing tops the staff. They are sooo friendly and incredibly accommodating. Their team act almost as your private concierge and always have a huge smile on their face and willing to help. For example before arriving we were struggling to make restaurant bookings so the team got on the phone for us with a few restaurants and helped which to me is above and beyond for a 3-star hotel. We stay here every time we’re in Paris and we’ve never experienced anything but great service from the front desk :)

The rooms are tiny but you get what you pay for. Honestly can’t beat the location!!

The location was unbeatable. Very close to the Louvre, the Opera, Place de la Concorde, Rue St Honore, etc. Within walking distance of the Concorde and Opera metro stations. The breakfast was a bit basic, but not extortionate by Parisian standards. The staff were really nice and helpful. There was one reception staff who lacked polish and was less inclined to give good customer service -- he was not rude, but he needs more training. I had a single room (Room 48) and was prepared for its size as I had read the reviews. Plus, Parisian hotel rooms are very small. The bathroom is located on a lower floor -- one has to climb down a steep staircase to access the private bathroom. This was not a problem for me, but I can imagine it being an issue for someone with mobility issues, is older in age or larger in size. The small room was designed in a very practical manner. Not an inch of space was wasted. It was an excellent room for a 3-day stay. Probably not ideal if you are intending to stay for a longer period of time. I also liked that the towels were replaced daily and the rooms were serviced efficiently. This is not a 5 star hotel nor does it claim to be. I liked the quirky decor and I loved the location. I would stay here again.

Location is very central—very near the Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries, shops, metro, other places you want to visit as a tourist in Paris. My room was small but just perfect for a solo traveler. It was very beautiful and clean. Apparently, the hotel is designed by Christian Lacroix! The staff are also very friendly and helpful, which made my stay enjoyable.

None
