Although Le Victor is not in the touristic area of the city, it is a hotel very close to the metro. After leaving the metro, all you have to do is walk for 2-3 minutes. There are many alternatives such as markets, patisseries, pharmacies and markets on the street where the hotel is located. A family runs the hotel. Although there is no one at the hotel reception, it is easy to reach the staff since they run the cafe on the ground floor of the building where the hotel is located. They helped us about our special needs. Except for the daughters of the family, they do not speak English, but you can easily communicate with the help of translation. It was a very nice hotel for its price.

There was no hair dryer in the room we stayed in. This was not among the hotel's services anyway, but it would be much better if the hotel authorities could provide hair dryers in the rooms. Informational articles are in French. This may be intentional, but it would be much better if it could be added in English.

A very nice, clean spacious room with a clean and comfortable bed. Very good bathrom and shower. And windows opened onto a nice view of the Montrouge street scene.. The windows gave exceptional noise exclusion.

In nearly three days, I accessed WiFi briefly ONCE. A staff member told me there was a system problem. It is unacceptable to have to visit local bars and restaurants in order to access WiFi. Also, though not a particular problem for me, all rooms are above ground level, up a steep staircase - there is no elevator.

That's a family owned and managed hotel they will welcome you like an old friend far away from the formal distance of big hotel chains. If you are looking for the luxury refinement of design hotels, you will not find it here. Here you have spotless clean, unadorned, functional rooms. Everything works perfectly well. You can also find all manners of transportation closeby, metro station and buses are 2 min walking distance away and can take you to city center in 20 min. A bit further away but still close you also have the tram. All in all, it was a pleasant experience at a resonable price.

Cute hotel above a neighborhood restaurant. While technically outside of Paris, it is only steps away from the metro line 4 metro which gets you into Paris very easily. The room is clean and comfy, and there are grocery stores, boulangeries, and shops within walking distance, also a huge farmers market which opens Thursday and Sunday is right by it.

Communication - the owners/operators only speak French, which is fine, but they do not pick up the phone if it is coming from an international number. I could not reach them at all before I arrived (phone call, email, booking.com messenger). I was arriving at 2 am and I had to have my French friend call them in order to get instructions on how to get into the building. If it were not for my friend I don't know what I would have done!

I chose the location for personal reasons. I wanted to get to know the neighborhood where the sculptor from Czechoslovakia, Mary Duras, about whom I wrote a book, once had a studio (1924–1927). The house is no longer standing, but the welcoming atmosphere of Montrouge has remained. A very good breakfast, I would say typically French, in a quantity that I was almost unable to eat. Also fruit, yogurt. I liked that I was in a home hotel, that breakfast was served directly in the cafe, not in an instant hotel area, isolated from local life and the street.

I liked it there, I have nothing to complain about.

Very functional, maybe a bit Spartan, clean with friendly (for Parisiens!) hosts down in the bar. Good access after hours, very straightforward. Breakfast typical of a French cafe. Very close to Metro.

No lift if that matters to you, and typically narrow winding old wooden staircase. Breakfast is extra, regardless of how the listing appears on Booking.com.

Great location, only 2 minutes walk from the metro station. The room was quiet, spacious, bed was very comfortable too. Staff were really friendly, they cleaned our room every day and we've got fresh towels too every single day even we didn't requested. Thanks for everything! 😊

such a lovely and quiet stay that's very accessible to the metro! just one train ride away (but many stops) from Gare Du Nord (coming in from London) they're also close to some cafes and a memorable boulangerie that has the best authentic French pastries! the room was very spacious and quiet. very chic. there's even a desk space and a place to hang your clothes to the side. my conversational french isn't as good as I thought it would be but the hosts were very kind enough to converse with me but also lend me a european phone adapter. merci beacoup madame et monsieur!

Friendly owner, treated us to a free coffee in the morning. Straight forward and fairly cheap hotel. Went with correct expectations and very happy with it all. Our room was facing the courtyard and quiet.

Shower was slow to drain.

Stayed 2 seperate days in the same week for an event. Less than 1 minute walk from the Metro so very easy to get to. Enjoyed the breakfast. Had bread, croissant, coffee and orange juice and yogurt if you wanted. Rooms were comfortably warm (it was -6 outside)
