We wanted a hotel near the centre of town to be able to walk to the Saturday market in front of the fine Périgueux Cathedral. We hadn't reserved on-site parking and the entrance to the large undergound parking in the Square opposite the hotel proved a bit of a challenge in the one-way system; but very good and convenient once we mastered the approach which is on the far side of the square opposite the hotel. The town is a lively place on Saturday morning with a plethora of bars and restaurants. We found a restaurant run by a Maitre Restauranteur for supper on Saturday night. There are only about 3300 in the whole of France. It was an exceptional experience. Fine choices for breakfast the morning after.

The room was mid-sized but beautifully furnished. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

I was told parking was free, but I was asked to park in the nearby multi-storey on the first night. There were 10 parking spaces at the back of the hotel. Three of them were free the first night. I would have appreciated being directed to one the first night. Also, a washbasin in the WC as well as the bathroom would have been welcome.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, beds were comfortable, separation of bathroom from toilet very well designed.

Room very very small but well designed. it was possible to separate twin beds with one foot apart. Why is this so hard to find? Surely there are many people traveling with one other person who are not intimate. One problem was hair dryer: power required continuous pressure on back of handle…difficult with arthritis. Also due to conservation of energy, there was no fan. But overall extremely good design!

We liked the fact that the hotel was very centric and had a parking although it was no possible to reserve a parking space in advance and we had the car loaded. We were lucky to have space. We liked the room very much, very big, we chose the highest level.

It is a shame that in a four star hotel and for the price we paid, they do not provide accessories in the bathroom, such as body milk or conditioner for the hair, they only had normal soap. They accept dogs but no bed offered for the dog. For the rest we were happy and we would come back.

The room in every aspect - especially adapted to someone like myself with mobility problems. The most important was the walk-in shower and the supporting rails/handles.

At arrival the greeting was off-handed and unhelpful. We had to ask questions to find out how we got to our room, how we managed the luggage, where was the trolley we could use etc. Our experience with other hotels on this 11 day visit to France, including the Mercure Centre in Rouhan was one of being very welcoming and helpful.

Perfect central location with beautiful view toward the old town centre . Big comfortable bed Selection of cold drinks and a Nespresso machine all provided .

Nothing I didn’t like but the restaurant and bar area resembled a canteen . Excellent breakfast and meal options just a few hundred yards away though so wasn’t really an issue .

Room was clean and bright. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the location was perfect as it was right in the centre of perigueux

Although it had air con it wasn't functioning properly so it got quite hot at times. A couple of coffee pods were in the room but no milk and only paper cups provided.

Accomodation is very comfortable, clean and very close to all shops, restaurants and places to see in Perigeaux. Lovely buffet breakfast with a good variety. Flat screen TV with hdmi fitting for fire stick.

Hotel parking is €10 for 24hrs but the underground across the road is only €6 for 24hr.

Location is superb, there is on site parking for 10 cars and secure parking across the road in an underground car park that is very reasonably priced. There is great access to the Roman ruins museum, and to the old city.

Some of the front desk had a very dismissive attitude. Others were great. Unfortunately the not so good ones let the team down. Part of the job is smiling and being nice to people!

Very clean. All the facilities you need in a room. Lots of plugs, separate loo, nice bathroom with shower. Good quality linen and towels. Parking first come first served so worth getting there in good time for. Good value breakfast. The staff were great. Good location, very close to the historic center.

The heating in the room proved impossible to control so it was too hot for us, especially at night. I wish I had booked a larger room with a larger bed and paid extra, as OH is a big chap and rather bounced off the walls.
