This hotel is exceptionally beautiful. Breath taking in fact! Location could not be beaten. The staff were attentive although their English was not very good and my French was worse! Really, the location does it all, for this hotel. It is small and exclusive. There are 3 eating options ( 2 bistros and the Michelin star restaurant) all of which are superb, and something to suit every taste and budget. Private parking is available at an additional cost but public car parks are very near by.

The rooms are set over three buildings, one of which is about 300m away from the main building so check when you are booking which building you are located in.

Wow! What a beautiful hotel in a such a gorgeous spot on the river with stunning views of the Abbey and rocks. We were upgraded on our arrival to a terrace room and we were absolutely blown away by how fabulous it was. The views from the terrace located from the bedroom are just magnificent and the bonus hot tub was just the cherry on top for us. It changed our stay into something even more fabulous. We had booked the Chef's surprise menu for the evening and dined down by the river. The whole evening was spectacular. All of the staff provided an excellent service and were really friendly, speaking English where our French was limited, the food was beyond delicious and we felt extremely lucky to have been able to stay at and enjoy this hotel. We will definitely return. The room facilities were all lovely and we enjoyed a very peaceful and comfortable sleep in a lovely bed - Thank you to all of the staff!

The only thing we would change, if we could, would be the weather! It would have been lovely to have our breakfast out on the room terrace but sadly it was not meant to be! There isn't anything else we would change.

A wonderful hotel in a romantic setting overlooking the river. They kindly acceded to my request and provided us with a convenient room with no stairs. All staff were eceptioonally welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is is very good, as is the Fil du Temp bistro associated with the hotel (great food and exceptional value for money). The al la carte restaurant is exceptional - one of the most original and stunning meals I have eer eaten. Just superb.

Nothing really. Room is a little on the small side and the rush of the weir was noisy (but there had been a LOT of rain!)

First of all after our tour of the whole of France, and staying in 12 hotels...5 stars mainly, only 2 properties exceeded our expectations. One of them was the idyllic Moulin de Abbaye and the dreamy dreamy dreamy location and environment they have created. It feels like a little forest fairy tale. Each corner of the small property is touched and cared to detail. From the moulin, to the gardens, the grass, the green, the window for breakfast and the dinner setting. Next time I will try and get the top room with bath tub, since I bet will be even more amazing. We had an exceptional stay on the 2 rooms we rented, and will recommend with no doubt this dreamy place to couples in honeymoon or seeking for romance in France.

Beautiful room recently decorated - lovely bathroom. Most staff very helpful and friendly

We went for a drink in the two-thirds empty outside area by the river late in the afternoon and sat at a table with four seats. Was asked by the young waiter to move to a table seating two incase parties of four wanted the table. During our stay in the area, no other people came for a table or drink and when we left, there were considerably fewer people there than when we arrived. This slightly irked us.

We were feeling welcomed from the arrival until departure. Very nice staff, everything dog friendly. Big comfortable rooms with lovely bed. Comfortable stay, beautiful place.

Drinks are overpriced, 20 euros for the glass of champagne or 1 Aperol Spritz. We were not told that all the restaurants are closing at 9pm so we were a bit hungry that evening. :-)

Lovely hotel in a great location surrounded by water on all four sides. Converted mill house with lots of natural light in the bedroom and great views from the restaurant (which was closed on the night of our visit). The local bistro owned by the hotel was lovely for dinner too.

Nothing much! Though they did email us before our visit to ask if we had any questions but did not bother to answer us when we asked about their restaurant! Please, if you are going to ask, do reply!

The buildings, grounds and location next to the river are beautiful. Our family room was very comfortable and spacious with an excellent shower. All the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Dinner in the Michelin-starred restaurant was just outstanding, with perfect wine pairing and a fantastic menu for kids. Breakfast was incredibly good value for money.

The attention to detail and the service such as the private car park facility and delivery of my vehicle when i required it. The room was a delight and the situation with the river outside the window and the views of the Abbey buildings made it a lovely place to stay and to sleep.

I cannot fault anything.

Great location just across from a nice little village surrounded by a stream. The restaurant is Fantastic serving a delicious multi-course surprise menu. The rooms are modern with all expected amenities.

The outdoor chairs in the restaurant are terribly uncomfortable. It is too bad these don’t live up to the quality of the restaurant. The mattress in the room is a bit strange: somewhat uneven across the bed.
