the location and the interiors

the photos of the room I booked were not at all corresponding for what I booked on booking.com i asked for a clarification i am an architect and I mesured the room. it was 16m2. the classic that I booked was 24m2. it is not my first booking on booking.com and it s not either my first time at sofitel the manager at the front desk helped us and solved this small issue. this is what I did not like to settle in a room and then have to move ro another because of such small details. i always have this bad impression that booking.com clients have always the ugliest and baddest room as if the hotels keep for their own clients the other rooms…

The hotel is within a short walking distance of many of the key places of interest. There are also a number of restaurants in the vicinity. We were visiting Rennes for a weekend. The hotel was approximately a 15mins walk from the main railway station and easy to locate. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel decor is modern and tasteful and very cosy. Our room was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities necessary for a good stay. Although we didn’t use the Spa, as we had limited time, we did have a look at it and were impressed. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel and would recommend it to others.

Given the options in this small French town, this certainly stands out as one of the best hotel accommodations in the area. From the cute lobby bar to the free spa hour for hotel guests, it is perfect for the traveler on business. Looking for a little bit of r&r after a day's work. I would highly recommend this location to anyone returning to or staying for the first time at Rennes.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike. If I were being hyper critical, I might say the bed wasn't the best it could be, but at the same time we had no problem sleeping.

The breakfast was amazing. The food from the restaurant is wonderful too. But most importantly the staff was extremely nice, and I mean all of them including the spa staff were all amazing. The massage was great, for the first time they could provide the right level of intensity which I never had before. We had some issues collecting our car (nothing to do with the hotel) and the hotel staff has been super kind to us while we stayed in the lobby. Offering us drinks etc and the voituriers are very helpful. Cool experience Gréât gréât expérience.

A shame there is not bath in the classic room but that’s a tiny detail compared to the overall great experience.

Not to far from the train. 15 min walk. The sensory spa is fabulous after a long day followed by a fabulous dinner at the restaurant. Leo the waiter was wonderful! The room is comfortable and very quiet.

At checkout the reception charged me twice what it should have been. It took about 15 min to correct and I had to get to the Gare…it seemed to take too long.

The property is very nice and in a great location. Beds are comfy and good double paned windows.

It was disappointing that in this day and age the hotel did not provide free WiFi. They have a third party that charges and wants to track and use your information. Cheap hotels and bed and breakfasts provide free WiFi. Very strange decision. Just on principle, I would not return to this hotel despite all the other pluses.

very beautiful boutique hotel. lovely room. everything you could want. staff absolutely exceptional and very helpful in every aspect. can walk to great restaurants. valet parking service also excellent. highly recommend.

Beautiful room, with a view of the courtyard. We didn’t have a reservation as we checked in late and they were able to book us for an incredible meal in the hotel restaurant which had a fantastic tasting menu!

Staff are attentive to needs and welcoming. The place is clean, relaxing and near to everything . Free use of spa facilities is a bonus.

The room temperature gets a bit warmer especially when the sun is up .

Really good service. Great bartender. Lovely and quiet room. We really enjoyed ourselves here.

We were not big fans of the restaurant in spite of its reputation.
