It is a small hotel with a view rooms under the restaurant, the location is great, the hotel staff is also very nice and hospitable. Also it a big pros that we were able to stay there with a dog. Also you have an ability to have a free parking place on the territory of the village.

I wish the room was cleaner. The bedding set should be changed to fresher ones, as they were already very washed out and unpleasant to the touch. The drains in the bathroom did not work well, but this is more likely due to the design of the bathroom.

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The staff, room, food were fantastic. Location - in the heart of St Paul de Vence. The staff was so welcoming, kind, polite and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was absolutely satisfying and delicious. Perfect! St Paul de Vence is so charming and if we ever come back again, we will definitely choose Hostellerie de la Fontaine.

I am absolutely in love with this place, a little gem in the center of this beautiful village on the top of the hill. The apartment is on the top floor, with a huge bathroom and a separate living room. Everything is clean and very neat. And don't even get me started on the breakfast...fresh croissant, home made marmalade, chees and fruits. I can't recommend this place enough.

Breakfast was in incredible…wonderful croissants.

There is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs.

Location was fabulous - right in the centre of the town. Nice large bedroom and bathroom area, with separate sitting room, with lovely views over the surrounding area. Some of the staff were really lovely and friendly. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was good.

Only offered croissants and bread/jam and coffee for breakfast - no other choices despite there being a chef and restaurant on site. No yogurt, fruit, ham, cheese or eggs. The room was really nice but was only serviced once and only because we asked for it to be done. Otherwise it was left. We had to make our own bed each day and the towels were only changed once during the seven days we were there. There are only two bedroom suites at the hotel ( ours and one on the 2nd floor below us )and while we were there, the one on the second floor was being turned into another dining room so there were renovations going on which we were not told about beforehand, and so it was noisy and there were workmen's tools everywhere that we had to step over to get down from our room. There was also no fire escape and so was not ideal if there had been a fire, as our room was on the top (3rd) floor and there was only a very narrow unprotected staircase to get down to the lower floors. Also, the business owner was very unfriendly and we were made to feel in the way, while the renovation work was going on.

the man was irritable about giving directions where to park, etc. the woman didn’t like the idea of breakfast having to be before 9am(8:15)…but we had to be somewhere an hour away, we were there for work…the breakfast was very simple coffee, croissant et that’s all (for the price of the room…?) they obviously were on overload and didn’t want us there…
