Such a welcoming and calm atmosphere and very family friendly indeed. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to help us feel at home. A great play to unwind and my goodness I would so love to go back and return there again and again. Incredible food, decor, brilliant rooms with views over the olive grove. Good easy drive to Saint Paul De Vence where we parked in the multistory car park. Easy distance to the seafront villages to explore but brilliant to enable to drive back to the mountains afterward to relax. The pool area is just sublime and had a brilliant amount of both sunny and shady areas to relax and unwind in. Honestly I cannot rave enough about what a perfect little hideaway gem of a place this is.

The location was very good near to St. Paul de Vence a comfortable room with a nice clean bed and bathroom . Decor very tasteful too , very quaint . Superb breakfast huge range of fruits ,cheeses ,cereals ,pastries . Great service for breakfast Justin was so friendly and helpful too . The swimming pool was good and the lounging area very relaxing with comfortable sun beds. Felt so chilled, we ate on the terrace in the evening . Waiting staff very helpful and pleasant. Virginie the owner was lovely made herself available at all times . Very pleasant lady . Natalie was also very nice and helpful , helped with another nights stay as I had messed up the booking . They were very hospitable . We would love to return next year . Highly recommend .

No problem at all - we really liked the property. We hired a car and went out everyday , there is a bus service at the bottom of a very long hill which is ok going down but the buses stop at the bottom so you have to be fit to walk back up .

This traditional French hotel has an interior, quiet charm and elegance, and is surrounded by a pool and lovely gardens. I was warmly welcomed by Virginia and made to feel very special. Quiet at night, close to the medieval walls of Saint Paul de Vence, spotlessly clean and comfortable, it is a delightful property for single travellers and couples. I enjoyed it so much I stayed there twice.

There were three minor disappointments. The first is that it is an expensive taxi ride to get to the hotel whether coming from the airport or from the Cagnes-sur-Mer train station (about 50 Euros). Second, the room I was given in the upstairs annex had no WiFi reception (this was remedied during my second stay by putting me in a downstairs room closer to reception). And, third, though I visited in late April, the swimming pool temperature was 17C - too cold to really be of use.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay, all the staff were really kind and helpful, especially Natalie who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and valued, nothing was to much trouble for her, she even gave us directions to some amazing places to visit. The room was very comfortable and our balcony had some beautiful views across the olive groves, the grounds and pool were so relaxing. The whole stay was just perfect, St Paul de Vence was just a short distance away by car, which was a real bonus.

Nothing it was all wonderful.

This is a jewel of an Inn in a beautiful, quiet setting. The owner is a lovely lady - third generation in her family and great host. Her assistant - which sadly I cannot recall her name was so warm and welcoming and enthusiatic to share local sightseeing ideas. Loved all the common area interiors and the bedroom - all very charming. The pool area is fantastic and would be reason alone to stay here in warmer months. The breakfast selection was extensive and wonderful.

Mattress was too firm for me.

The food at the one site restaurant was incredible. We ate some of the best meals we have ever had here. The hotel pool is also lovely and the perfect temperate. The staff were impeccable and made us feel so welcomed. The honesty bar was a great addition and made it so simple and easy to get a drink or a snack.

We felt the resturant could of offered some easier less fussy options for lunch such as sandwich’s or salads, we didn’t always feel like having fine dining for lunch. The location was a little tricky without a car if wanting to get into town for dinner as the there are some big hills on the walk back.

Exceptional place, small and exclusive but with no pretentiousness. Staff are friendly, professional, and discreet. Beautiful poolside restaurant with incredible food. Attention to detail in every aspect of the stay and the service. We hope to be back!

Breakfast was served indoors in a conservatory type room, would love the option to sit and have breakfast outside in the summer.

This beautiful country hotel with colorful plants and flowers in a large garden were very attractive in addition to the huge pool with chairs and tables for relaxation. The breakfast was delicious, and their library was a relaxing area to sit in and converse with friends. The staff members were always ready to assist us in any situation. If you are looking for tranquility and relaxation, then Les Messugues welcomes you with open arms. :)

The calm, the luxurious surroundings and feeling of peace. I say luxurious because of all the greenery, plants and birdsong. It’s an oasis. The pool is so cleverly constructed: it’s in a ring shape and fun to swim around! And there was a nice little restaurant so that we didn’t have to sally out every evening!

What was there to dislike?! But I did wonder about overnight security. The reception is closed overnight.
