Villa St Maxime fits perfectly the definition of quiet luxury. Ann has been the perfect host for us, such a welcoming, friendly but discreet person. Staying in Villa St Maxime felt more like being at a friend's home than a hotel. All interiors have beautiful touches and the whole building is full of light. The apéritif was appreciated and the buffet breakfast mouthwatering. Will definitely come back for the next exhibition at Fondation Maeght, which is at walking distance (but hillside!).

Perfect location, stunning views, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff! Our return visit to Villa St Maxime after a 7 year gap did not disappoint. We really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, and the complimentary drinks and chance to meet other guests every evening. Piers could not have been more helpful, booking restaurants and taxis for us, and suggesting places to visit, and Ann is a knowledgeable and gracious host. After a busy few days staying in Nice, this was the perfect place to relax and unwind while enjoying the delights of St Paul de Vence. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

This was the jewel of a 3 week road trip. Elegant property, views of the village, views of the Mediterranean. Truly luxury. Wonderful hosts/owners, easy walk to the historic village, bus stop to Cagnes (and trains to Nice/Monaco or Cannes) at the foot of the drive. Will certainly return to enjoy the good life in Haute Provence! A real treat.

breakfast on the wonderful terrace could have been better tasting / quality …. it was nicely presented by friendly staff BUT we would expect at this beautiful quality and top price B&B to have had a top quality breakfast …. served with top quality fresh bread, quality fresh viennoiseries and top quality condiments. it was a nice touch however to have cooked eggs as an option

The villa is just beautiful- with amazing views from each room or area. There’s easy access to the village and other walks . Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly with information and help. My husband was feeling ill on the day we arrived and we needed to see a doctor, so they not only helped with that, they upgraded our room to a suite to give us extra space - it was so kind as well as an incredibly lovely room.

The owners, Vicky and Ann were very welcoming and accomodating as I travelled with my parents. The Villa was beautiful and spacious so it felt private and our room was filled with art and books about the artist, which I thought an elegant touch. Loved the simple, classic breakfast menu which was delicious every choice I made. Thank you.

the pictures don’t do it justice the setting is idyllic and you can see the old town, the sea, and the hillsides. the hotel, designed for an artists displays, is breathtaking. breakfast on the terrace was delicious. easy walk to town for a choice of restaurants and all the galleries. A+++

that we didn’t stay longer LOL

We loved St Paul du Vence, a lively medieval village. This hotel was an easy stroll to the village for these two active seniors. It was peaceful, and a relaxing afternoon at the pool was perfect. The pool is large enough for laps which is hard to find. Ann is American which was helpful since this was the start of our trip. We had many questions!

Beautiful property, well located, super hosts. Really comfy beds, good breakfast and lovely touch to have have drinks with other guests at 7pm. Large swimming pool - good for lengths, gorgeous views, very close to SPDV.

Beautifull Villa with spacious, open lounge, numerous arts objects, very clean, nice garden and pool, great view into the counryside and towrds St. Paul de Vence. Ann, Bertrand and Laura are very helpful, all in all a very pleasant atmosphere. Fondation Maeght and St. Paul de Vence within walking distance - we'll certainly be back some day.
