A one night stop on our way to South West France, the room was spacious, clean and light. As it was a public holiday the day we arrived nowhere Wa open for dinner. Thank you to our hosts who managed to fit us in for dinner in the fully booked restaurant . The food was superb and of an exceptionally high standard. An extensive wine list is also available of every French wine you can think.

A lovely old house in a quiet country village with easy car parking and front garden in which to relax. Excellent restaurant, evening meal and self-service breakfast in separate house just across road.

We found it quite ‘out of the way’ for our itinerary. Stairs to first floor bedrooms are circular, well worn wooden ones and require great care to use safely, especially with a heavy case in hand - as accommodation house is separate there are no staff on hand so suggest just to carry in an overnight bag.However, there is very good direct access from the car park to the ground floor.

We stayed at La Mere Hamard for a stop over on our way from Avignon to Caen, and wouldn't hesitate to do so again in the future. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and great value. The real highlight is the restaurant though, which is very good indeed. Probably the best meal we had over the course of a 2 week holiday, and excellent value. The breakfast is also very good, with a wide selection on offer to satisfy all tastes.

Dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing! We loved the children’s menu: smaller portions from the main menu so that the children can eat with the parents against a very fair (reduced) price. They loved it! Breakfast also recommended: lots of choice with great pastries and home-made jams. Well-decorated rooms with high ceilings and cool at night (sleeping with open windows and no mosquitoes:)

The decoration of the room was amazing. The bed was so confortable. The owner was very friendly and we had a great welcome. As for Jo the only waitress on the night due to staff being ill with covid, she was amazing, friendly, polite and so professionnel, a real asset to the hotel. The food wad delicious although quite pricey. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh squeezed oranges which is always (to me) a proof of quality

Just a hick with the safe as the instructions were not very explanatory but we reported it and the owner said she will look into it.

Hotel, service and food were excellent.

Very small village, we stayed on a Monday night and unfortunately all bars and restaurants outside the hotel were closed. Hotel restaurant did not offer a medium cost menu

The food is truly exceptional. Well positioned from the motorway in a charming village. (Check out the bakers for picnic food if travelling on). Good parking. Always very welcoming.

The rooms are a bit small but that shouldn’t matter.

it’s location and setting are delightful with a charming ambience we slept in the annexe a large grand dwelling across the road from the reception with its own secure car park.The restaurant which was the reason for our stay was exceedingly good- if you like cheese OMG !!

Location en route to Calais from Pyrenees was ideal. Quiet and rural but close to main roads. All facilities were wonderful for our overnight stop.

The room was a little cold but it was February and extra blankets were supplied

Breakfast was fine but we found the menu in the restaurant was quite limited.

The only drawback was the location of our room on the second floor with difficult stairs to climb
