You can't beat this place for the following; great food, great rural location, beautiful house and garden, tranquility, welcome. It was so quiet, we had a lovely bedroom with a perfect view of the gardens and, of course, the Pyrenees.
Oh, I was sure this place was perfect, until, at 6am the next morning, next doors alarm went off and we were exposed to half an hour of loud music. We knocked on the door. Nothing. QUEL DOMAGE. The staff could not explain it. We were the only guests, it was obviously staff in the private apartment next to us. I hope the owners sort this out.

The location is spectacularly beautiful, with lovely well kept grounds and views of the snow-capped Pyrenees in the distance. The food is entirely sourced from local producers and is superbly cooked in the traditional French style. The staff could not be more helpful or welcoming.
We loved everything about this place and wish we could have stayed longer.

I was glad to return after a great stay here last year. It is a wonderful place, nicely furnished and as we live in a historic house ourselves we felt at home. The views are stunning.
Mondays are to be avoided. Although bookings are taken for a room there is no restaurant so you have to fend for yourself. This means a trip to find a place if you want a restaurant. Having said that breakfast is available next day if you can hang on!

Charming property with beautiful views, very tranquil and peaceful. Staff very friendly. We had a lovely stay.
The room we stayed in was really cold, no heating was on, so not so comfortable. Staff although attentive are quite hard to find… perhaps a number to send a text should be available if you want to order a drink etc?

Ambience, decor, comfort, people, food, grounds, welcome dogs
Very dated bathroom facilities, we are an older couple and we had to climb into a slippery bath and manage a hand held shower head

The hotel itself is a gem. A beautiful and elegant building, a throwback in time set within a perfect country setting. It is furnished exquisitely and you can see the proprietor took great pride in her hotel. In the evening, restaurant provided cuisine of a very high standard.
Absolutely nothing.

We had a lovely stay, the views were amazing and the food was incredible!
The room was a little chilly and the breakfast coffee was not made in house.

Quiet location with spectacular views. Almost 500 years old building with a French flair. Very good dinner, great chef.
As much as we liked the French-country-rustic theme, we would appreciate more up to date bathroom design.

glorious spot in the Pyrenean foothills looking up at snow-covered peaks. the grounds are beautiful and superbly tended. and the house is very much as original but beautifully kept. the evening meal was excellent.
the breakfast was rather meagre with little choice.

A stunning location, site and view, really tucked into the foothills of the Pyrenees. Abundant, delicious and relaxed breakfast outdoors on the lawn. The room was also beautiful with the sumptuous view.
We were put in a central room of the chateau, but directly underneath the owners' apartment. The sounds seemed like we had 2 extra people in our room. It was particularly uncomfortable when the noise started at 6am.
