Citadel Narikala has got my 10!!! I loved the location, the premises and the hospitality of the hotel that much that I extended my stay there from 4 to 6 nights! Highly recommended for solo travelers! Staff was indeed as friendly as I had read on booking reviews! Everyone was super helpful, especially Givi who deserves a promotion 😄. This guy truly went the extra mile, being 24/7 at my disposal and providing me with anything I could ask for, even late at night! When I arrived I was offered a bottle of homemade wine “just to taste”! When I felt cold I was offered an extra heater, complementary to the AC! The ladies in the morning were also very helpful. I didn’t like my first room offered, so they suggested another of the same category I loved! Owner was super hospitable as well, he printed my air ticket and gifted me a very late check out! 🙏 Location was absolutely ideal in the old city. Narikala fortress was just above the hotel. Thermal baths area (Abanotubani) was 5’ on foot. The bridge to go to the other side was less than 5’ on foot. Meidan Bazaar and plenty of restaurants were just down the hill, 2’ walking. Freedom square 12’ walking, 5’ by taxi (cost 1€!!) The view from the hotel room was breathtaking!!! Breakfast buffet was absolutely brilliant.A lot of local dishes, international ones, plus a different variety everyday. Ms Nino there, was kind and caring! Bathroom was comfortable, clean & water was super hot at all times! 😍 If I would visit again Georgia I would stay at the same hotel! I believe it’s by far the best value for money in Tbilisi! 💯💯

Absolutely fantastic hotel to view the New Year fireworks display in the heart of Old Tbilisi. Closest hotel to Narikala Fortress. The hotel is on an extremely steep hill, but the views of the city are unparalleled. Close to the sulfer bath area, but no smell Good basic breakfast and good restaurant for an evening meal. Very good house wine. Beds were a little hard, but that is just personal taste.

Safe was in the closet, but not secured to anything. Defeats the purpose of a safe. Lighting was dark for our room.

1. The perfect location. The view of the entire city. And if u get it with the balcony just as how we did, then you can just be there all day long. 2. This is the third time I stayed in this hotel and I enjoyed it once again. It is in a great location in the historic part of Tbilisi and the breakfast room / restaurant has a beautiful view of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and spoke good English.

There are many little details that show a general carelessness and a somewhat lack of professionalism for a rather expensive hotel. Some areas are very well maintained, but a lot of things are broken or poorly made, for example the toilet seat in my bathroom was a different shape than the toilet itself and wasn't fixed to the toilet. Many doors are scratched, the lock of the toilet door at the roof terrace was missing altogether. The staff is friendly, but dressed a bit too casually. All this are not major things, but add up to the overall impression of this hotel.

The room we booked had a direct balcony to the view of entire Tbilisi city. We loved the neatness of the room and the view from balcony. Beds were comfortable. And bathroom was super neat. Their breakfast was fine. The location is at the heart of city and everything was at walkable distance and happy that we took at this area.

The hotel is located on the hill on the way to Narikala fortress just below that fortress. And the climb is steep. So people who have difficulty climbing do reconsider if you have any health issues or at oldage. Breakfast had few items like croissants and sausages missing which is a usual for all breakfast everywhere. Their lift had some service issues that dint work at times when we stayed there. Maybe it's not always the condition.

We, an Armenian family, chose Narikali Citadel Hotel for its perfect location, and it didn't disappoint. Just steps from the Armenian Church of St. Gevorg, our room's balcony framed the church's dome, with bells ringing in the background. The hotel's cozy exterior in old city style gave way to a modern and inviting interior. Our journey, while adventurous with a little girl, was well worth it. Beyond the doorstep, numerous attractions awaited – six churches, a mosque, and a synagogue, forming a captivating cityscape view from our balcony. Yet what truly stood out was the exceptional staff. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel at home, elevating our experience. In conclusion, Narikali Citadel Hotel exceeded our expectations, offering comfort, convenience, and cultural immersion. Highly recommended.

- the room was described by having a landmark and city view but all I could look at was a plant - the cleaning staff knocked at the door and I was in the bathroom, so I loudly said "no", they knocked again, I said "no" again and they entered the room. Then they started cleaning the room and I was loudly asking for them to go outside. They didn't, instead they came into the bathroom It wasn't an uncomfortable situation for me because I had clothes on and maybe it was my fault because I didn't put the "Do not disturb" sign on the door but I didn't like that they ignored me like that

the location is right in the middle of old town, few mins wall to the main attractions like sulfur baths botanical garden and Narikala fortress. the concept of the hotel and the little musuem that it has near the reception was really nice. the restaurant’s food was delicious and the portions were great. finally, the view from the room is amazing as. it overlooks the old city.

breakfast wasnt great, the hotel is located on a very steep hill and so its very difficult to walk down to the city with elderly people.

One of the best views in Tbilisi! I stayed up till 6am because I couldn't get enough of that view. The old city is to the right, with the tall bank beautifully lit up in the night. The reflections of trees on the water during the day are also a pleasant sight. The very center of Tbilisi is right there in front of you and below you. The city stays awake till at least 5am during the high season, and when you're sitting at the balcony sipping wine, you can look at the sea of lights bow and hear all that music and people singing and laughing, all those sounds of a busy night life. But when you close the door and draw the curtains, it's pretty quiet. Best breakfast! I have to note all sorts of cheeses (but keep in mind that Georgian homemade natural cheeses are quite salty!), fruits, veggies... tasty but healthy. The hotel also has its own rooftop restaurant, with the view just as amazing, and the food is great. The room was very nice, with an amazing half-round balcony and a wonderfully sized and clean bathroom. Each room has a "historical wall" (something about the Georgian history, in English). There's even some historical pottery in the foyer. There's a bunch of scenic balconies where guests can take a smoke or chat with other guests. The hotel is within a walking vicinity to anything you need: restaurants, entertainment, shops. You can ride a boat or a hot air balloon, climb up to the fortress, visit the famous baths nearby, exchange currency, rent a car, find a tour, etc.. I was very happy with my stay! Well worth the price.

If you have a heavy luggage: The hotel has an elevator, so no problem with the luggage once you've entered the building. However, it's a sharp up the hill from the downtown and a narrow stone-paved ancient street, so if you have heavy luggage, advise asking the driver to turn right before the hotel and go up and around it to the left, so you'd walk just a tad down (the key word is DOWN lol) with your luggage. You won't be able to just park in front of the hotel and get out.

everything was great about this hotel. the location was amazing. we could literally just walk up to the fortress in 2 minutes. you could also take the cable car from the top and go to the city central in less than 10 minutes,. from outside the fortress you can walk upto the botanical garden and enjoy the hike. the staff was amazing of this hotel. the breakfast was 10/10 . they will clean up ur room daily and our items were also safe there.. it was peaceful and the scenery from the windows and balcony was so beautiful..

there was nothing to dislike about the property. our stay was so comfortable except they dont have muslim shower so we used water bottles for that purpose. Even then there is nothing to dislike about the property.
