Reasonably priced and ideal for an overnight stay. Staff were nice and spoke English. Room clean, bed comfortable, only downside was no aircon but wasn't too hot without despite it being well over 30°C outside. Private car park at the back so vehicles are off the road. Really good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice plus you are served with your choice of hot drinks. Handy as it's not far from town centre and there's a few places to eat within a mile so can walk there.

No tea making facilities in the room but maybe that's typical of Europe as it was the same at another hotel I used.

The breakfast was great, lots of choice, everything fresh and if something was not there, you only had to ask and it was arranged, just great, as far as I'm concerned 3 to 4 stars. The staff are very helpful and friendly, always up for a chat. The bathroom and the hygiene in the room are very good

The only thing that is sometimes difficult is the limited parking space, if you arrive too late it is always full, but you can always unload in front of the door, so that is very nice, then park on the street.

I recently stayed at the Art Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional and exceeded my expectations, with a great variety of options to choose from. Overall, my stay was wonderful and I would highly recommend the Art Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had a balcony's to sit out on which was most welcome in the hot weather. The beds were comfy and if it wasn't for the early hours thunderstorm waking everyone we would have slept right through! Parking was easy, and the food served in the restaurant was tasty even though it was from a very limited menu. There was a good choice of foods available at breakfast though.

The corridors to the rooms were very tight and dark which proved both entertaining and challenging in the morning whilst the hotel staff were servicing the other rooms, but other than that the hotel is really nice.

It had free parking, which was fantastic. There was a bus from nearby into the centre of the city, which was only 4 km away. The staff were really friendly. Did their job really well. The sheets were pure cotton, which is such a relief after polyester. The room with small, but it’s big enough. Shower was great. And the price was excellent. The breakfast was fantastic more than enough food of every variety and well worth having.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. It was all fantastic.

Great location, near to several bus stops with varied connections, specifically the one to Carolus Thermen. Also, the staff had a great attitude, always friendly and ready to help!

I would have liked one big bed sheet, instead of two smaller ones, plus a water kettle, but hey that is just a personal desire. This hotel is definitely great value for money, and the BIG breakfast is definitely worth having. If you feel like you need to relax, you can visit the sauna downstairs, in the wellness area - it costs only 9€ per person.

The room is smaller than we thought, but overall is okay. The breakfast is good, there are a lot of options. The location is better we thought, there are 2 different bus stops next to the hotel. It's easy to reach the center of Aken. We also noticed that we can walk to the train station in 15 minutes. There are a lot of shops and restaurants.

We thought we would have a double bed but actually we had 2 single beds together, so there is always a gap between. In the night, you can hear truck or bus on the road. I had to wear ear plugs to sleep.

Simple hotel on the outskirt of the city, but within walking distance of the City Centre. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and the hotel offered a very good value for money for a one night stay.

Car parking was quite tight and awkward to access (even more awkward to reverse out of when it turned out that it was full!) Fortunately, I travelled on the weekend, so I could park off the street without risking a parking fine. This is something I think could be organised a little bit better.

The room and bathroom was quite spacious and clean. Even though there was no car spaces when we arrived we were able to park by the entrance to the side and moved the car in the morning to a free space.

We found the room was quite hot and there wasn't any options to cool down. No fan or air-con system. Only one window opened slightly so there was no way of creating a draft. If staying in the autumn or winter, I imagine this wouldn't be a problem.

There is a lovely sauna (2 with different temperatures) and a swimming pool. It was included when I booked but policy changed and now you have to pay 9€ when you want to make use of them. Staff was helpful with this. Breakfast is 13€ per person per morning. It is located around half an hour walk from the city centre but there is a nice path through a long stretched park. There are also busses going to and fro the center to close to the hotel. The view is not on a park but you don’t look into another building directly so it was good.
