Friendly hotel, convenient for rail station and Dom Christmas market. Excellent breakfast and I always love an honesty bar plus free hot coffee coming back in the evening. Good value.

Good choice for breakfast on the meats cheese and eggs. Coffee all freshly made . Parking easy to get to although a little walk back across main roads from the garage. Staff very helpful and able to translate any questions we had. Room very clean and spacious with a good size bathroom. Excellent food bar next street along called golden schwein with a courtyard seating arrangement offered a good variety of German cuisine at a reasonable price.

Mix up over parking with night reception telling me that it's pay and display with no hotel discount t but next morning asked to use a voucher to cut parking down to 5 euro for the night

Very good and rich breakfast, helpful and friendly personnel, comfortable bed, very clean; excellent location to explore the city and to get around by public transport: less than 5' walk to the train station. Also, hotel offered me a parking card at the nearby public parking at a very reasonable price (€8.50 per day). That was really nice and useful.

A bit older facility, but clean and tidy, very small elevator. Someone in the neighbor room was smoking, so we had the smoke smell in our room. The hotel should be stricter with the guests for not to smoke in the rooms

The location of this hotel beside the Marschiertor and within 200m of the Hbf is really good - no need for local transportation. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were so attentive - the coffee was just right. The room was clean and functional. Aacheni is an interesting historical city.

The room is noisy and on a main road. This is not an issue in winter but is in summer when you need to have the windows open - no Aircon. I would have liked a room safe to keep personal items such as the passport etc.

Very central location -- across from the main train station. The breakfast was excellent, much better than we were expecting for the price point of the hotel. Our room had windows on both sides, and looked out onto the town gate. It was quiet, but that was in January with the windows closed, I suspect the room is louder in the summer, between the trains and the foot traffic.

The parking lot is at the main station, and conveniently across the street -- I don't know why the hotel doesn't just say that, instead of coyly saying that they'll explain when you arrive?

The hotel had a spacious room, and was quiet even though we were close to a major road (ear plugs also provided for light sleepers!). Breakfast was great, fresh bread and cooked eggs, and a good assortment of cereals, meats and cheeses. Location was great for what we needed, being close to Aachen Hauptbahnhof and 10-15 mins walk from the city centre.

We weren't too sure about the large flat pillows - understand these are common in Germany though!

The room was spacious and clean. Modern and clean private bathroom in the room. The beds looked vintage but were very comfortable. Delicious breakfast (delicious rolls). Friendly staff. I loved the vintage look of the hotel - original 70's furniture and the soul of the place - quite different from the "sterile" brand hotels. Great location - a short walk from the main train station as well as the historical old city.

There was pretty hot in the room as there was no air conditioning.

The hotel really took care to inform me about the code and where my keys were held in case I’ll arrive after closing of reception. Luckily I made it on time and I was welcomed by receptionist. Inside the room it was very clean, bathroom also was spotless. At night it was quiet and bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a heart of Aachen so you can walk to all interesting places.

Although there was plenty of room on the street to park the car but there was no discount or private parking if you wish to park the car for longer. from 9 you need to pay €2.40/h which is expensive.

Great location for the railway station and easy walk into town. Rooms are large and en suite bathrooms lovely. Very clean. Breakfast is excellent - plenty of choice and good quality. Very good value.

The lack of air conditioning was a problem. It's not possible to open the windows very far at night and also have the curtains shut. Even when cool outside, the room was like an oven.
