Pretty hotel that's over 300 years old. Staff all very welcoming and helpful - the hotel restaurant wasn't open but the owner booked a local restaurant for us - there are at least 2 options within 2 mins walk. Because the building is old there was no AC but the owners have thoughtful put a big fan in the room. There was a well-stocked minibar. Convenient location - we stayed one night en route from Baden Baden to Calais but it's also close to Baden Baden airport. Free parking. Superb breakfast - fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order.

The hotel is on the main road and under the approach to the airport so it was a little noisy from time to time - though the hum of the fan masked the outside noise so we still slept well! We'd have preferred tea/coffee making facilities in the room but after 2 weeks in German hotels, we don't think this is as common as it would be in the UK!

Easily accessed from bike trails along the Rhein. Great inside secure bicycle storage . Staff at reception and throughout stay was very helpful and friendly . Rooms well sized and clean as well as bright . Rather warm and muggy night with no A/C but each room has a large fan which helped dramatically . Really nice and clean bathroom with tub . Comfortable bed - plenty of electrical sockets for charging phones etc. On site restaurant has excellent food choices and reasonable price point . Good breakfast with hot and cold choices. Made to order egg dishes . Great place to spend a night or two when riding the Rhein River .

Lovely traditional gasthof. Great location in the town. We arrived to a very friendly welcome around tea time and all the info we needed for the night stopover. The restaurant wasn't open that evening unfortunately but we were given details of 2 neighbouring restaurants 2 mins walk away. We ate at the Italian restaurant just around the corner which was absolutely amazing. So friendly, lots of local villagers eating there. Food was fantastic and so friendly and fun. Our room was warm, cosy, spacious and clean. Everything to make use off. The breakfast room was lovely, traditional German style and the breakfast choice was great. Lovely coffee, jams, cheeses, meats, cereal, honey, yoghurt and delicious fresh breads etc. We will definitely stay again when passing.

My room was very nice. Compared to other Gasthaus in the area, this was above average. My bed was comfortable and it was a roomy bathroom. The staff was very accommodating. The restaurant on site was very good, however, they are discontinuing dinner meals effective November 1, 2023. Breakfast will be continued, and that was slightly above average breakfast for a Gasthaus. I will consider staying here again when visiting our office in Lichtenau.

The lot was full each time I tried to park there, but there is street parking nearby. As the hotel is on a busy street, you may want to stay off the main road for overnight parking.

Hotel and service was fantastique. Very nice family-owners of hotel! The room was the best we could even imagine! Very beautiful.like at home.but here it was really TOP! We even asked to stay 1 day more!!! Excellent breakfast! Location is great.24 min distance from Baden-Baden. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts as recently, even adults, married! We will come back to you, for sure!!!

My wife and I stayed here previously in June of 2022 . There is virtually nothing not to like about this Hotel . The staff is very friendly and exceptionally helpful . It would appear that almost all staff is conversant in English . A long time staff member, Nadine is truly a very bright star in a staff of very friendly, always smiling staff members . Rooms are large , bright and very clean and all appear to have a room fan which on warm nights and days can be a true blessing . Very good price point /value. Dinner excellent with reasonable price point , Breakfast absolutely wonderful with made to order eggs plus an extensive buffet . Immediately off the Rhein bike trail with locked , inside secure storage . We will return again when we are close on one of our bike adventures in the future .

We can't think of anything we disliked. The experience was perfect and we will definitely be back.

This hotel/ restaurant leaves almost nothing to be desired. Wonderful, friendly and very helpful reception. Along the Rhein Bicycle Trail . Close to many other alternate trails . Great bike storage. Room was terrific - quite large with very clean and bright modern bathroom, Comfortable bed . Even had an ironing board and iron as well as a rarity in German hotels - a large fan for air movement. It appears as if they have not forgotten any necessity. Very good on-site restaurant with reasonable price point and an excellent breakfast . All in all a place that we will come back to in our many bicycle adventures in Europe .

All was wonderful

Hotel Staff are very nice and excellent, they do speak English which is helpful for non-speak Deutsch people. The restaurant service and food is great. Kids friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We visited during Easter holidays and we enjoyed our stay and food at the hotel restaurant. Near by there is camel and lama farm, nice place to visit with kids. It's located in the main street (not comparable to the main streets in bigger cities), at night it's a bit noisy when the traffic is more which could be annoying for noise sensitive people, when the windows are kept open. It's old authentic building so no lift, parking could be challenging during restaurant hours.

Noisy road we had a room at the front, would be helpful if we knew exactly the charge for the two dogs, not sure why no provision for them ie bowls mats. No restaurant for dinner
