This property is located in the heart of Bamberg. most things are walkable. The only time we took the bus was to/from the main train station. It is a bit too far to walk w/our large backpacks. The bus picks up and drops off right in front of the hotel which was a huge plus. There is a great pedestrian path along the river for morning runs.

They did not have wash cloths for showering and just a hand soap dispenser in the shower. It worked since we were just there 2 nights, but it is hard to get clean after exercise or a long day with just some liquid handsoap on your hand.

Staff at this hotel is lovely. Very friendly. Breakfast was good and they kept it stocked. The actual hotel is neat- unique and fun. The breakfast area has such character. We really liked it and enjoyed our stay. Good location as well! You do have to walk from area parking garages, but it was very helpful that hotel staff sends a message with the area garages and how far of a walk for each. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Okay starting of with the best value is for sure the location. This is right in the middle of Bamberg old city center. Really lovely. Parking is okay I guess, with public parking cause it is really dense in those old centers :-D Loved the staff, so friendly and helpful. The bedroom was much nicer than expected for the little money we spend.

The bathroom was tiny and the shower strangely fitted with super slippery tiles. That's crazy dangerous after too many beers and the necessary night shower. Stay awake and take care please! The toilet seems to fit perfectly into the bathroom not counting for 2m people... haha but that's a tiny toll to pay!

This was our favourite hotel room (out of 10 places) on our trip. What a beautiful, historic place, great rooms, lots of interesting surprises and architectural features around the building, and all that in a fantastic location. We got upgraded to a large room with a huge bathroom and a bonus room! We LOVED the large room with high ceilings, two large windows looking out to the beautiful street/buildings of Bamberg. Wonderful breakfast, use of bikes, and other extras.

We loved it all and can't think of anything negative.

It's the second time I stay at that hotel, the first time I had booked directly on their website so I could not make a review. I was very pleased with my first stay, I was with my little toddler and we had been upgraded to a suite. This time I had a normal one person room, that was quite comfortable. The lobby, entrance, breakfast area is very nice, with a cozy feeling. This time there were Xmas decorations and it felt just very welcoming. There is a little room under the stairs to leave the suitcases. The location could not be more central. The breakfast is good and the lady working there on that morning was very nice, you know, with a smile and greeting people.

Only downside is that they have these typical shapeless German pillows that really don't provide any support for the head.

We had a room that faces the inner courtyard which was very quiet. The room was nice and there was a spacious bathroom. The hotel manager was very accommodating and carried our luggage from the car which was parked in a lot nearby. The breakfast was wonderful. Everyone was very nice to us. The location is right in the old part of town and couldn’t be better.

Parking is about 100 m away in a underground lot. This was a little expensive at €19 per night but was cheap compared to large cities in the US. There was a cheaper option a little farther away but we chose the one close to the hotel.

This property is in the perfect location to explore the city. It was so quiet but in the middle of everything. We had a double room which was perfect. The hotel was the perfect mix of old and new. Breakfast was wonderful and we were grateful to have a lift!

Personally I dislike carpet in hotels, but the carpet was very clean, no smell and did not at all make me uncomfortable

Location was exceptional. Right in the middle of the alstadt, close to breweries and restaurants, and a 3-minute walk from the river. Room was large, bright and immaculate. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Breakfast buffet was full at start of each morning, but food was not replaced as customers ate. As a result, choices were very limited during last part of breakfast dining. (this included regular coffee and scrambled eggs.)

We were greeted immediately by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. Although we arrived early we were able to leave our luggage and explore Bamberg. On our return we were remembered and shown to our room. It was very spacious with a private en-suite and great air conditioning. A godsend in the hot weather. There was a free bottle of water in the room. A nice touch. On our return in the evening we were able to obtain a bottle of wine from the fridge in the foyer and pay the €10 into the honesty box. A lovely option. The hotel is in a very central location. We were lucky to visit whilst the free Jazz and Blues festival was in which was amazing. The breakfast was nice and plentiful with great tea and coffee available. Our stay exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend a stay here. Prior to arriving the hotel communications were excellent with several car parks suggested, but advised that they would also direct us at check in .

Not much to say as we loved it. No parking on site but a car park opposite and plenty of multi storey car parks nearby. After parking in one a little way away on our walk back discovered one very near the big Tourist Information centre. But to be fair the hotel had sent us details of ones close by beforehand. A great hotel.

Location excellent, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent

room was very efficient (on the small side), bath was smallish as well but clean and functional, parking was not available in the closest garage so a longer walk was required but the town is very pretty
