The stay was to coincide with the opera festival. The staff were courteous and always helpful. Transport arrangements to the operas were very efficient. Post-opera meals were available and very pleasant. Breakfasts were good with a lot of choice. The air conditioning (necessary in the heat) was quiet and effective. The hotel and was quiet at night - a plus. The location was good for walking to the town centre and local shops. The room was spacious and comfortable. Secure parking was another plus. Overall, the hotel was fully geared to cater for the festival. All pleasant.

Given the price I was paying for the room (Festspiel prices) I was expecting it to be perfect. Fortunately it was. The hotel acceded to all the requests I made in advance and allocated me a quiet room at the back of the hotel with a view over the garden. The bar, breakfast room and patio were all pleasant with nice food. The free coach transport to and from the Festspielhaus was very welcome (although standard practice for the main hotels in Bayreuth). Air conditioning you could switch off at night, so no noise from fans or electrics.

Excellent location within walking distance from train station, bus terminus, city centre and shopping complex, extremely clean, beautiful decor, very polite staff, very quiet environment, and coffee machine.

The only thing we did not like were the sensors underneath the side bed furniture. They switch on automatic lights when something moves in front of them. So if one of us woke up at night this light was uncomfortable waking the other person up. We were offered another room, yet we were told all have same lighting system.

Room was perfect - 10/10 for comfort I booked this hotel for location and it didn’t disappoint walking distance to everywhere. I was very pleased with the hotel it superseded my expectations

We stayed from Friday to Sunday, room cleaned every day apart from 1 day rubbish was left in room (assuming the cleaner had forgot to take away as everything else was cleaned) Parking would be better if free for guests it was £12 per day other hotels I’ve stayed at are free

Perfect location, modern hotel few steps away from the historical centre. Lovely terrace for breakfast and nicely decorated yard. Rooms have all what you might expect from the modern hotel - wifi. mini bar, tv etc. Breakfast is really nice with a good selection. Garage is really spacious.

I haven't got bottle opener in my room - and couldn't open a bottle of water, which was kindly provided. Had someones hair in my bathroom. But in general - lovely stay.

Spacious room, 25m2 comfort double room. Here space was really a key to comfort. As that was the smallest room size and therefore really quite spacious. Modern fresh interior design, clearly aimed at business travellers. Friendly approach towards pets with a taster of dry dog treats, a can of wet food, 2 doggie bowls and a bit spacious dog bed. Very considerate, best I have seen in a hotel so far. Modern touch button system for light in room, really spaceship like at times. A working fridge. Complementary kettle and coffee machine for a fancy cup of tea or coffee. Nice! Modern futuristic Dr Evil chair. Movement sensor activated lights below bed side tables for night visits to bathroom. Thoughtful!

Wifi was not that easy to get hold off but maybe it was my phone. We were on first floor not too far from reception. Air con was making funny noises at times. Hotel had very anonymous business vibe in reception area, so no clear offers to mingle with other guests during the evening apart from maybe drinking a drink at the bar. The button for the cleaner was clearly shaped with a female icon, that felt a bit outdated these days. The location was in walking distance to town but until reaching it you walked past a few shadier not so well maintained houses, which did not reflect the luxury from the hotel at all anymore.

The hotel room was very nice. I believe I got some sort of upgraded version of the regular room, and I must say it was quite nice. The bed was extremely comfortable as well as big, and the rest of the room was exceptional as well.

I had a very strange interaction with one of the staff members in the reception. She was always looking at me and asking me things like: "Are you staying here?" Even though she had seen me quite a number of times. Even in my return from the room towards the exit, she started asking me if my "room was OK?" and "what was my room number?". To this day, I believe she thought I was not a guest of the hotel. Additionally, while she was not wearing a mask (like other guests), it seems she singled me out to push me to buy a mask. All in all, I'd say it was a terrible experience and she really needs to learn manners on how to treat guests.

First trip for work since Covid and a welcome return to this H4 hotel. The rooms are massive and the beds are comfy, good desk area to work at, lovely restaurant and bar area, good breakfast, decent wine list and the hotel is very conveniently located for the town of Bayreuth with restaurants and town nearby. The staff were all really helpful and nice throughout my stay.

The fitness room is tiny and basically full of 3 pieces of equipment (rowing machine, running machine and cross trainer). You can't fit anything else in the room. There is a sauna but I didn't use it. The fitness room could really use some expansion or improvement.. a mat / light weights would be great.

Nicest place we’ve stayed yet while visiting Bayreuth. Location close to town. Lovely breakfast! Friendly staff. Room was quiet.

Room was stuffy: airco was not working well. Sofa in room was not very comfortable/supportive.

The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is quite good, only about 5-10 minutes walk from the centre. At first I was quite annoyed that the spaces closer to the hotel entrance are reserved for SUVs but then I understood why: in the back of the parking garage they have lift-based parking, with height restrictions. In all fairness, those parking spots are actually wider, so they are better to park in than the quite narrow SUV parking spots :-) If you need the lift to be operated, you need to call someone to help you.

The carpet was not properly vacuumed as I saw dog hair (long, thick, straight, white) around. To be fair, the low light in the room would make it quite hard for someone to properly see when cleaning. The 'intelligent' control panel near the bed was extremely annoying, randomly illuminating during the night, without anyone moving at all! Big technology fail. The room seemed to me smaller than 25 sqm, but it can also be the because of the slated roof, unnecessarily big desk and the dark carpet.
