They had thought of everything. we arrived late with two babies and our Labrador and everything was all set up beautifully. They had even left our dog some food in a bowl (next to a dog bed) which was an excellent touch. We stayed here as a stop over on our way to Denmark as it was just off the Motorway and easy to find. The room was also ideal for all of us. We will definitely be back.

The only thing I would perhaps suggest is it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room with tea making facilities.

Nice hotel in charming surroundings. Very high level of service and we were well received when we arrived. Nice interior and beautiful garden. Several good options of coffee, beer and wine that you could choose yourself and then pay at checkout. Next to the hotel is an Italian restaurant with good food and high service.

We chose the hotel because it is a boutique hotel and had an expectation of sitting in the lounge in the evening with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. When we got to the hotel after dinner at 8.30pm it was unmanned and dark and we had to go to our room instead. It is quite unusual to have to pay for coffee and tea in this type of hotel.

Lovely and stylish hotel in a beautiful old building near Hamburg, very convenient for the motorway. Very friendly service, excellent breakfast with a lot of choice. A pity there is no restaurant apart from breakfast. But the landlady kindly let us eat our take-away from the excellent Italian next door on the premises and let us use all we needed from the hotel - plates, cutlery, glasses... And we could buy our drinks from the fridge accessible around the clock. All in all a good solution - and even cheaper than going to a restaurant! :-)

Breakfast was delightful and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff, overall design of the hotel and the size of rooms was very good. Lovely garden / outdoor space!

One of the rooms smelled a bit stale and the bathroom had a tub/shower combination that was not suitable for most adults. None of the windows had mosquito nets and as there was no air conditioning we had to decide between a lot of mosquitos (and wasps!) or no fresh air.

A very beautiful place giving a feeling of a time in nature - and yet very comfortable. Great interior design, varied and beautifully served breakfast, garden with roses, quiet benches and trees. The staff was very friendly an helpful.

In these difficult times, it's very comforting to find such an excellent hotel after a long day driving. The location is very quiet and nice, with a lot of trees and a beautiful garden. The room was superb, in form of a small cottage. The personal was very professional, welcoming and friendly. The dinner and breakfast were perfect. The hotel and the restaurant were better than I expected.

It is a really pretty hotel, large rooms and when you arrive with kids they make sure everything you need is arranged. The owners are really polite, kind and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everybody.

beautiful little and cosy place! nice room, comfortable bed!! great breakfast-huge variety . great staff , Antje and Marcel were very kind! we arrived in the middle of the night and picked up key without a problem-thanks to Marcel!

We booked a small house in the garden. It was amazing! Lots of space and extremely comfortable bed. We also went for a walk because the scenery is so beautiful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we needed to go elsewhere for a dinner.

Great spot for travellers by car through Hamburg. Beautiful area and very friendly people. The room was very spacious and nicely planned.

Cannot think of anything, will return if my travel plans take me back to the area
