The hotel is exceptionally good. The location is top: city center, university, park, public transportation stops, restaurants, cafes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The communication is fast. Everything is clean, modern and very well done. Our child got a baby bed and some toys at reception. The atmosphere was good.

The minus is hidden in design of the rooms: the door opening to the toilet is done wrong, it opens inside, and hits the person who is sitting on a toilet. Also you can not totally open the door, it is blocked by the toilet. I find this feature unacceptable for a four star hotel... Then, knowing that in Germany is very common two beds standing together, we asked for one big bed. But on arrival we discovered two beds together :-0

Hospitable and helpful staff with good English. The breakfasts are rich and have many different dishes for all tastes. They give a bonus soft drink at the bar\restaurant of the hotel for days one asks not to clean the room. The room is spacious and the bathroom is clean and well serviced. The had a vanity kit and sewing kit. The location is perfect for a stay to for a conference in Darmstadium or a visit to the center of town and the museum.

Pricey, the room does not have a tea/coffee corner. If one wants to drink something hot during the night better bring you own kettle. Did not have kit for shaving. The bar\restaurant is pricey and have weird hours for kitchen service

The hotel was located perfectly with the city centre and direct airport bus literally on the door step! Very clean overall, decent size room for the three of us adults. Really good breakfast buffet with lots of options and super friendly and helpful staff.

Weak AC which made our stay slightly uncomfortable at times. Would have liked a mini fridge in our room given it was an "Executive Room". Also would have been good to have an option for English audio/subtitles on the TV.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and we loved the hotel. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect and the staff were fantastic. Our German is not good but the staff all spoke good English which made us feel at home. The food was extremely good, the room clean was very comfortable and tidy. We will be staying at the Welcome Hotel again

The breakfast whilst very good was a little expensive. We really could not find any faults with the Hotel

The outside parking lot was quite noisy up to late hours, people coming to listen to loud music and drink beer. Overall one may feel a minimalist style, not necessarily in a nice Scandinavian way, but much more cheap. Price/value seems a bit high to me.

Easy and uncomplicated check in and check out. All our special requests for the payment in advance have been addressed. Just 2 steps away from the university. A restaurant on the site. Good quality food for breakfast. Coffee available outside of the breakfast hours. Easy public transport access. Modern room.

The bar closes at 12 AM and the restaurant was closed on Monday at 10 PM. A rather unfriendly waiter in the connected to the hotel restaurant at the dinner.

It's probably the best hotel you can get in Darmstadt, very comfortable and with excellent location. Not exactly a budget option, naturally.

Translucid bathroom walls and bad pillows. But, unfortunately, this is almost standard in Germany, so I guess it's a matter of taste. Breakfast it's expensive, even for German standards.

It’s directly next to a park, really nice view. The windows are amazingly soundproof, there was loud music outside, but inside you could not hear it. The breakfast is really exceptional.

I wish people wore masks inside and that the hotel would enforce that, there were only very few guests and staff wearing masks.

the staff was very helpful and friendly during the entire stay in all hours of the day. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Overall i enjoyed the stay very much.

There was no coffee/tea in he room which i would have enjoyed when coming back from a long work day. All other facilities were very nice.

Location is central and with views to the squares surrounding it. Sauna and fitness area has an exceptionally good view into the landscape - even from sitting inside the sauna! Sauna area has several rooms for resting. And no bureaucratic closure times - you just tell staff to heat up half an hour before.

As always for me, breakfast closes way too early, 10am. A cheap option for those who do not want to eat and spend much would be nice too.
