The room was disney-themed, very nice and cozy, I felt home. The building looked like a house too, so it did help with feeling comfortable, instead of looking like a steril hotel. The owner was extremely kind and he let me leave my luggage in a storage room for a couple of hours after the check-out time without any problem.

I had more than one heavy luggage and my room was upstairs, but without any elevator, so I had to bring them all one by one up on the steep flight of stairs. The rooms are not very soundproof, and the windows don’t have blackout curtains so technically people could look into the room from the buildings next to it.

We spent 1 night here and the location is great. Short walk to the old town then up the hill to the castle. Plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is quite quirky and the rooms are decorated interestingly. There is a common kitchen which was nice to make a cup of tea. We would stay here again.

We stayed in the department store parking as suggested by the hotel but it ended up costing €13. Also there was no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in the room.

Staff was accommodating for a very late check-in -- the key safes are a fantastic solution for this! Great location in a quiet street but still close to downtown and all of the main attractions in Marburg. The hotel is also very close to the University's sports center (running track, outdoor basketball courts, sand volleyball), which is open to the public and a very nice bonus.

Overall, I am very satisfied. The room and common areas (toilet, shower) were kept perfectly clean. The hotel is located a short walk from the picturesque center of Marburg, shops and restaurants are within convenient distance.

Parking in front of the hotel is paid only. The nearest free parking (on weekdays) is about 20 minutes' walk away. The wi-fi in the room had a very weak signal.

First of all, Marburg is a really cool town, and this guesthouse is close to the main attractions (Old university, Schloss). There are also stores and cool restaurants nearby with university students. The guesthouse has a fun design with quirky decorative elements. It has shared showers and toilets, but it didn't bother us too much, as we spent only one night here.

Marburg is a beautiful city and this hotel has a very good location 3 minutes walk to bus stop that travels everywhere. Also a quiet location at night. Employees were soo kind that they ask for any inconveniences every time we converse. Also the room is very well cleaned up everytime I leave my room as 'to be cleaned up'. I worried about my belongings to be honest but it was very safe. They leave my belongings where they are and clean up rubbish, bed and the floor. The toilet is also cleaned up so I felt like the guests are treated well! They also always leave towels in the shower. Super cool. Recommend this hotel 100%. I will visit here again defo!

It was so good not much to say about dissatisfaction.

My stay at Hotel Tusculum was excellent. The hotel is clean and having access to a kitchen with coffee and a generous selection of teas was most appreciated. I very much enjoyed the interior decoration, which provided a welcome departure from the generic style that has become the norm at far too many hotels and hotel chains. The effort put into the decoration and art themes merits praise.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the shared shower and toilet were always extremely clean. The common kitchen gives you the opportunity to have some tea or coffee, which was an extra added value. On top of that, the hotel manager was always available, taking care of any question or request, in the most kind way. A highly recommended stay for a short trip in Marburg!

The receptionist was a very friendly and nice person. THe location - perfect! Nice stylish rooms i enjoyed the extra touches.

The rooms were OK, with a bit thinner walls, so it was easy to hear the hallway, but I didn't mind it and had a pleasant stay

Fatima & Roland were very friendly. The rooms were always super clean and the public facilities were also kept to a high standard. If I were ever to return back to Germany this would be my first port of call. It was not only a great experience in terms of service, but also in regard to experiencing Germany and the friendly people who are in it.
