Fantastic newly renovated small family run hotel. Rooms are spacious with excellent facilities including smart tv with sound bar and tea/ coffee making facilities. Small veranda from the room overlooking greenery. Breakfast was served to the room and was exactly as ordered on arrival, although there was much more than we could eat with several different meats and cheeses as well as fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea or coffee. Unfortunately the restaurant was not in operation but the wonderful hosts provided recommendations in the nearby town.

The outside of the property looked almost derelict but don’t let that put you off as the new owners are in the process of renovating and have obviously put their initial efforts into the rooms.

The breakfast was really good, fresh and with lots of variety. The fresh orange juice was great. The staff was wonderful! My sister forgot her metal water bottle and the staff called and told us. We asked for them to ship it to Denmark, and they did, free of charge. Now that’s great service! We enjoyed sitting out on the large patio by the reception in the evening. We traveled with a dog. There was a dog bed and food and water bowls waiting for her. Very nice! The rooms in the bottom floor have access to an outdoor space, with a rope for the dog, so they can walk around the grass. We booked last minute , so we didn’t get one of those rooms, but I’m sure if you book in good time you could ask for those rooms. If you have time, take a walk to the beautiful lake nearby.

When we stayed, the curb appeal was not the best. The staff explained that they are remodeling one of the buildings into a restaurant, so that explained the messy look. So if you are staying soon after our visit, don’t be scared away. The paint in the bathroom tiles in our room was peeling off.

This is my second stay, as a stopover on the drive from London to Denmark. I love this little, family run place. The owners are lovely, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, and have everything you could need - fridge, fan, TV, hairdryer, kettle and more. The breakfast is great and I’ve also eaten dinner on the terrace - flammkuchen and local beer, just the ticket after a long drive. Finally, it’s very dog friendly (dog bed, bowl and treats in the room) and there are some lovely dog walks on the doorstep - down to the lake or over to Arnkiel Park. I will be back!

The difference between the outside of the hotel and the inside and interior of the rooms is night & day. They are working at the outside presentation and perhaps a restaurant. We were recieved by a very friendly Staff. The room is more a little appartement than a room: King-Size double bed, table and chairs for having breakfast on, a corner with two comfortable seats, full TV and music-sets, even a desk is not forgotten, and a special bed with treats for the dog !! In the morning we recieved a top Breakfast. The bathroom was perfect, the car slept on the private parking and the dog enjoyed the walks in the woods behind the hotel.

We were in a room with 1 double and 1 single bed with a terrace. It was wonderful to have breakfast and dinner on the terrace as the weather was warm. We have been travelling for 3 weeks and this was the best shower by far. The owners were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The restaurant is not open as it is being renovated but there are pizzas, flammkuchen and pasta available of an evening in your room or on the terrace near reception.

We are a family with a little baby. we didn’t expect the hotel even prepared a baby bed, baby chair, and a baby food warmer for us. the breakfast was sent to the room, so we can have the meal together with my baby without worrying to bother other people. All the arrangements just made my wife and me so happy and my baby also had a very good sleep - and it’s not easy:) definitely the best hotel experience I have had in the past few years. The location is not that close to the highway, but there is a shopping mall nearby, and I found very nice food for my wife who got a cold and just want some warm and light food. The day after, we stayed in a four star hotel, but not comparable with Seeblick. Seeblick has just gave us five star experience

Breakfast served at the room was very good. Fresh and in a great variety. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was clean, comfortable and decorated with surprising elements. Go and see yourself.

The surrounding gardens and buildings were very outdated but they are working very hard on that. The owners are pretty new and want to give the hotel a new start after several years of neglect by the previous owners. Just support the new owners by booking your stay.

Spotlessly clean. Well laid laid out with everything you need for overnight stay. The staff are wonderful and helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Family run and eager to please and succeed customer expectations.

First impressions of main building undergoing renovation. However the reception and rooms are delightful. Customers should not let initial outside view deter them. It’s a nice comfortable and friendly hotel.

Like others have said before me: don't panic about the construction site next door. That's not where you're staying! This hotel reminds me of what B&Bs used to be like in the 90s: super comfy, but a family business that's all about the service and the friendly welcome. This hotel is doing so much to make guests comfortable, which means a little extra when most people are staying here because they're passing through the area, not because it's a huge destination. The location is fab, though, and you can walk to a pretty lake (there's a nice 5k-ish run around the lake and back to the hotel), and there's a bronze age long barrow just across the street, with a really cool outdoor exhibition. I think once the other building(s) are finished, it'll be even nicer. They also really REALLY welcomed our dog AND our kid, who both got toys and treats in the room on arrival. I really like when hotels take care of all of their guests, not just the adult humans who are paying for it.

We stayed here on our way north as a family of 4. While the room at first seemed a bit small for a family room, there was everything we needed and more! The kids received a small welcome gift upon arrival - something we have never experienced before. Our room also had a terrace via which you could walk straight into the forest and from there to the beautiful lake close by. The breakfast was delivered to the door in the morning and had everything we needed. Overall a very pleasant experience in a beautiful location. This family-operated hotel is a gem and we wish them all the best and will be sure to stop there again!
