Great facilities, very comfortable bed, clean and fresh, great toiletries, quiet, good value for breakfast. Fantastic location - next door to departures terminal, less than a 1-minute walk. Junior Suite is very spacious.

Very overpriced. Worth about 80% of its price at best, maybe less. Also (!!!), all windows are floor-to-ceiling and openable. They, of course, are blocked at a certain position, but I feel that an enthusiastic 2-year-old might just find a way to squeeze in and fall to their death. For my older child, I checked all the windows myself. However, if you are with kids and DON'T check, it means you trust a cleaner who last washed the window and possibly forgot to lock it with the life of your child.

The location is absolutely perfect. It’s next to Terminal 1 BER. I was late for the last bus to my city and just booked a room spontaneously. The bed was super comfortable, I liked that there was a coffee machine. Don’t worry about planes, the windows are sound proof.

Many spots on carpet, one of the power outlets didn’t work so I have to bring the kettle to working area to boil some water. Coffee machine didn’t work properly, I had to reboot it to make it make coffee:), but it’s because I have a Nespresso machine at home, the other guest might be confused. One cannot use high speed wi-fi, if one does not provide personal data for a kind of loyalty program. It’s very annoying.

Can't beat the location if you are flying out of BER and need to be at the airport early. The rooms seem sound-proof; we hardly heard anything despite the hotel's very close proximity to the airport. The rooms are very spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy. We did not try the restaurant, spa or fitness center.

Not all curtains can be closed to block out the lights from the airport. No USB ports, so it's challenging for international travelers to charge their phones, etc. unless they bring some kind of adapter/ converter to use the regular outlets. Fairly expensive.

Fantastic rooms, comfortable beds, great bathrooms. Everything is new and clean, the spa is outstanding and we loved the breakfast. Ella, the robotic cat servant was a favourite of our children. We also tried the restaurant and the goat salad was a favourite. We will be visiting again.

Their slow and confusing online response made us worried, but everything worked out in the end. Also, it would be great to have the tvs modernized and have smart tvs installed instead of German cable only. I was never able to connect to the wifi during our stay. The whole instruction set is in German. Would be nice to have that solved.

Our flight was cancelled so we booked this hotel last minute. We arrived at reception & the staff were lovely. Our room was gorgeous with all the facilities we could have asked for. The rainfall shower was bliss. We had an early start but breakfast was served from 5am which was a nice touch. OMG breakfast was delicious 😋 So much choice, every type of diet catered for & the welcome from the young Irish waiter was so warm & genuine.

It's nothing major but, due to a glass panel in the bathroom, when I got up at 2am & turned the bathroom light on, it also lit up the bedroom & caused my husband to stir.

An American Airline British Airway Code Share Argument with Finger Pointing at each other but no help to me and at least 15 other passengers left me with a 21hr unexpected delay at the Berlin airport such that I was flying out the following morning. I immediately got on Booking.com and got a room at Steigenberger; the staff was very nice; the room was quiet and comfortable; the bathroom large and clean; I even got to work off some frustration on the treadmill in the small but functional fitness center. The walk to the airport the next day super easy.. across a small plaza, up 2 escalators.

I have no complaints. I have already recommended Steigenberger to friends who may have flights out of Berlin. Great option for that last night in Berlin instead of an early morning taxi.

The member of staff with whom I dealt almost exclusively - S. David - was amazing. She was helpful, kind and attentive; a real credit to the hotel. I also very much liked that late checkout was affordable - this meant I could rest more after breakfast before heading off to get my flight.

Some of the items out for breakfast were out of date and I didn't realise until I'd started to consume them - luckily the taste tipped me off pretty quickly! I'm not sure the person I spoke to understood me when I tried to let them know, though, as the items in question were not removed while I was in the breakfast area. Also, the air conditioning in the room was basically useless. I had it on full power to try to cool down and it was still so warm in my room that I had to use my fan.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed for my husband's 30th birthday before we were due to fly out and had a complimentary room upgrade, as well as complimentary champagne, snacks and a signature pen as a birthday present. The room was well equipped with plenty of amenities, extra pillows and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom also had heated flooring. The hotel is directly outside of the Airport's Terminal 1, a short 2 minute walk. Breakfast is buffet style, great quality with plenty of variety. The hotel also has sauna/steam rooms and a gym. Unfortunately our flight got cancelled but the hotel could accomodate another night in our room for us. Service staff were wonderful. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Berlin again.

Another wonderful stay at Steigenberger. Pretty sure the hotel gave me an upgrade when I'd checked in because the room was massive. So, thank you for that bonus, Steigenberger. My only regret was that the very short stay there (late check-in and early check-out to catch a flight the following morning).

Not the hotel's fault but the dining options are extremely limited around the hotel; so you're very dependent on the hotel's in-house restaurant (which has a decent menu). Also, there was some kind of catering truck making its delivery to the hotel very early in the morning and was simply idling with its engine on; so got quite an early wake-up call (but luckily I had to get up early anyway).

Perfect location to stumble off of 12 hours of air travel, grab a bite, and sleep off the jetlag. Staff were very helpful and polite, switching languages easily when we were too jetlagged to remember our own names, let alone the German we learned for the trip. :-) The room was large and new, with a very comfortable bed. We plan to stay another night here before we fly back home.

The room was hot and would not cool down, despite the A/C being on. We tried cracking the windows, but that didn’t work either due to bad smells outside (not sure what the smell was—maybe from the side street being torn up for construction). My wife is cold-natured and even she was hot. Definitely still a great hotel, though, and we will be back. If the A/C can’t be improved, a fan for the room might do the trick!
