Hotel City Green Berlin

Checking in and out was very quick and easy, even though I arrived after 10pm and checked out at 6am. Reaching the hotel was also fairly convenient, with two S-Bahn stops within walking distance (although reaching the S9 stop requires walking through a forest-y footpath, maybe not ideal at night, so I recommend S8 instead). The room had a small kitchen which was decently useful for storing a bit of food, making a tea, etc. The bed was small but comfortable, and the bathroom facilities (shower, toilet, sink) are all really good, especially the shower with very good heating and water pressure.

The hotel is in a bit of a weird location, with the two entry points being a footpath that feels like the back entrance, and an unlit parking lot which I guess is the front entrance. The room was a bit too hot, I had to open the windows to cool it down every time I arrived back from outside. Also, the shower lacks a curtain which means water will splash all over the floor of the bathroom. Also, the power sockets are in weird locations, a bit too far from the bed and desk on either side, but it's not the end of the world.

Overnight security guards were excellent and helped with check in and check out. This hotel was absolutely perfect for visiting Berlin. Easy travel into Berlin centre with reliable bus and rail services 24/7. Two supermarkets right next to the hotel which was very convenient. Cleanliness was better than I expected and rooms was very spacious. We didn't really use the room to it's full extent, but having a fridge/freezer, microwave, plates and cutlery provided was a great addition for the price.

Air conditioning would have been a nice addition, although even though temperatures were in the mid 20's during our stay, the rooms weren't too hot and sleeping was comfortable. The path to the hotel could be better lit. There was one street light not working which made the walk between the two supermarkets quite dark. We arrived after midnight and weren't too sure where we were going but we didn't feel unsafe at any time, so not the end of the world.

The hotel looks more like a motel when you look at the building from outside and factor in the location. The property looks unkempt when you walk in, but the rooms quickly reassure you of good quality. Rooms are clean, spacious, plenty of natural light, equipped with a kitchenette and a fridge. The hotel is hassle-free and gives more of a self-service feel, because the Reception is located in the building opposite of where I got a room. Plus points- two super-cheap supermarkets located right next to the hotel, although the neighbourhood isn't the safest. Luggage storage is available.

Location is not secure. The neighbourhood reeks of urine, drunk people in the street around, and would not recommend walking alone at night although the hotel has stationed a security guard. The windows on the fourth floor where I stayed also had spikes on them, making me appreciate the steps the hotel has taken to ensure guests' safety, while also acknowledging that the risks of someone climbing up your window on the fourth floor are real. The hotel also does not have a decent pathway, making it difficult to spot an entrance and walk a long way dragging your suitcase.

Nice cheap hotel near Berlin's BER airport. There are two hotel buildings which look a bit as from GDR era, but the room is quite big and clean. There are fridge, kettle and microwave in the room. There are also small kitchen with plates and all things for eating. The shopping possibility is very abundant nearby. There are Nette, Lidl, Rewe etc. The journey to BER takes only 15-20 minutes on S9, S45 Lines.

Only small minus - you can lead the smell of sigarettes in the all hallway!

The hotel is in a suburb of Berlin, not far from the airport. It's very close to the railway station with fast links into the city. It is a large hotel with two separate buildings but I thought it seemed to be efficiently run and very clean. The room was a good size and, despite the weather being very warm during my stay, was comfortable to sleep in. It had a lot of storage space and a small kitchenette including microwave, but oddly no kettle. The bathroom was nice and the while room was clean and bright. It is cheaper than options further in the city and I thought it was very good value.

The only negative was that check-in took a long time, because the member of staff serving me repeatedly (and quite rudely) broke off to speak to other customers or to help her colleague deal with other guests. Aside from this instance the staff were friendly.

Extremely close to the S-Bahn; grocery stores and imbiss a minute walk away. Ready access to various Sees and Walds. Room bright and clean with table and kitchenette, establishment as a whole has nice "outskirts of Berlin" vibe. Close to BER (well, about as close as you'd want to be), though you do have to make a transfer when taking the train. Liked it so much that I booked it again for the future, even though I'll be working in Mitte.

Only downside was that they had one of those showers where it's impossible to use it and not get the whole bathroom floor wet, even when you only have it on briefly and angle the shower head towards the inner wall.

I feel the must to write a review, since it was far past our expectations. The stuff was very friendly, they have spoken English great, answered all of our questions and both the check in and check out were quick. The hotel room was tidy and comfortable, the bathroom looked great as well, there were many towels. The window curtains were non-transparent, so we didn't have to worry about anyone looking into our room or too much sun disturbing us. There wasn't anything more we needed. They even gave us an extra bed, since the room we had only included one and there were two of us. We didn't ask for it and normally you have to pay for it if you want it which we didn't have to, so that made us feel very grateful and happy. I can't rate the breakfast since we didn't go to it. The location was also great, nearby is a train station, Lidl market and a shopping centre, we expected it to be more far away. We also went to get a Domino's pizza, which was about 7 minutes away. The Berlin centre was 1 hour by public transport.

The only thing that wasn't great is the lack of air conditioning on our room, but nothing major.

Was very clean and spacious. Beds were extremely comfortable! Near two supermarkets and some green spaces. Very near an sbahn station. We stayed a night to be nearer to the airport for our flight the next day but we're wishing we had stayed here all our nights in Berlin!

Breakfast selection was a little small for the price. We were given a room facing the other block and there were always people drinking and smoking outside the block. When they talk, the sound reverberates up to the room and it's quite loud. They stop at 10pm so all is good but anyone before, it can get quite noisy.

Large desk because I had to remote work in the room during the day, fridge to store so foods because with Covid there’s currently no breakfast being served, proximity to S Bahn Grünau (and no noise audible), the ferry to Köpenick and also BER (I could see the planes flying in at quite a distance though didn’t hear anything), various supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance, helpful staff, microwave, (other rooms had a water kettle too), the ‘Tuschkasten’ settlement area is a couple hundred metres away, which is a UNESCO listed world heritage site - nice for an evening stroll.

Place was perfect for what I needed.

The room was very big and had also a small kitchen that can be useful to cook some pre-cooked meals or prepare some sandwitches. It has also a microwave, a fridge and a water boiler + some additional cutlery and dishes. A lot of wardrobes and a nice bathroom.

The position was not fantastic: it was quite far away from the city center and every day you need to spend between 1 hour to 2 hour to go back and forth from it. The problem is partially solved by the easy access to a nearby S bahn station and others buses.
