Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Leonardo in Voelklingen. The value for the money is outstanding, because of the top notch cleanliness of the rooms, the refreshing AC system, the utmost attention of the staff to our special requests, the beautiful lobby offering a comfortable lounge area with infused water and candies, the tasty breakfast buffet with two coffee machines and an eclectic selection of original foods. The breakfast room had windows from top to bottom, thereby offering great views of the surrounding trees. The breakfast tables got cleaned quickly after the guests finished. The only small minus is the poor location, far away from shopping or pedestrian areas.

Staff was not welcoming and forgot to smile There was a big issue about water which was not meant to be drunk from the tap. There was a notice about this but staff should have made this clear to all customers. As a way of addressing this, a bottle of water was left in the room. When I asked for another bottle, I was told I would get another bottle tomorrow morning or I had to pay for it. I thought this was atrocious customer service!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The breakfast was delicious with great coffee and plenty of cheese and dessert options. The location was convenient, and the staff were super friendly. Plus, the interior elevator was really nice, and the large free parking was a bonus. Also, having a restaurant in the evening made dining easy and enjoyable.

Overall, my stay was great, but there was one downside: I could hear the water running from the room next door, which was a bit distracting.

It was extremely comfortable and plush. The sauna it was well-maintained, clean, and perfectly heated.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. Best wishes to the night receptionist, slightly older gentleman, made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely return, and incorporate stays at this hotel in my trips.

This hotel chain is one of our favourites while visiting Germany, this hotel was good and the breakfast very nice. We had free parking therefore that's a huge advantage while enjoying a road trip.

The only down side was the bathroom, in our room it wasn't possible to close the door all the way and you had a small gap between the bedroom and the bathroom, we found some hairs in the floor, the faucet was broken and you had to handle it careful. They are minor details but it was the first time after staying in several hotels from the same chain.

Good hotel, very clean, comfy beds, walk-in shower, free parking space. Nice bar and breakfast room, with terrace and a wonderful view, completed with good coffee. Would surely stay again. Highly recommended! (The Italian restaurant down the road "La vecchia Osteria", highly recommended as well ;-))

The knob of the shower faucet was so hard to turn, not possible with bare hands, we needed a towel to do this. Breakfast could have a little more choice, and the orange juice was quite bad quality (I guess some DIY stuff instead of the regular concentrated type). We couldn't use the AC because it was turned off centrally.

Restaurant closed a couple of evenings due to sickness of staff. Also the bar ran out of beer on the Tuesday evening! At €6 a glass I’d of thought someone would be keeping an eye on stock levels as it makes them a lot of money.

The staff were very helpful and spoke English, and put up with my German! It was well presented and easy to find. The food was delicious and within the usual amount expected to pay in the country. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable.

The room's drinks choice was limited, but I'm sure if we had asked for something, we'd have got it. It's so hard to get decaf coffee in Europe.

It was in "right" place. Bed.

15 eur / day for dog. Selected "pay at the property" [it was about 10 % more in price] but on next morning the full price hold was placed on credit card account. It was week before the trip, no matter that I had room cancellation possibility for whole week...

The hotel's location is ideal for a pitstop if you are on a road trip. It is situated near the highway and accessible 24/7. The staff was friendly and provided helpful information about the area and nearby events. The breakfast met expectations.

The room looked nice, but one of the curtains was damaged, and they could have paid more attention to the shower floor and edges. I would say some points for improvement.
