It was one of the best locations we ever had. The resort is wonderful: the apartment/house is clean, large, with everything you need inside- the owners thought about every little detail; the view from the balcony - spectacular!The parking right in front of the apartament. But the best part were the pools, especialy the infinity pool- really amazing!! The whole resort is like an oasis, with beautiful flowers, orange trees, olive trees, and cute cats... Also, Astakos was a surprise. A place not very crowded, with beautifull beaches waiting to be discovered, nice restaurants with good prices, posibility to rent a boat and visit the islands in the neighbourhood... We really enjoyed our staying at the Giannis Village Resort and we thank the very welcoming owners for their hospitality!

Since it was early in the season, the restaurant was not open. A token breakfast of toasts, jam, juice & coffee/tea were available in the room, but we used the small kitchen in the room to prepare food we had brought, and liked having kitchenware available. Very nice bathroom with a good shower & soft towels. The view was magnificent & the setting was peaceful. The property is well tended & there is a lot of attention to constantly improving it. The host is enthusiastic & helpful.

The buildings of the resort climb the hillside and the road to access them is quite steep. Parking for each unit also requires some maneuvering. These challenges are to be expected in the Greek countryside--it is usually what goes with getting a nice view, but some might find it intimidating. A large vehicle might present a problem. The resort is well above the town, so a vehicle really is necessary unless you like hiking!

The owners, the Giannis brothers, are excellent hosts, the apartments are new, clean, tidy...all the best. Honest recommendations. We traveled to Kefalonia and we recommend a break for those who want to take a break from traveling. Of course, there are also a couple of nice beaches in the city for those who want to stay longer... Big, big greetings to Mr. Giannis...

The views, the staff, the service, the amenities, the calmness, the rooms, and the comfort. This place is a gem, and I feel lucky to have discovered it.

The only thing that disappointed me was that the first morning the staff entered the room to change the towels and to wash the dishes, without informing me. Also, even though the wifi signal was great, the internet speed is slow but that is due to the area’s internet speeds.

The AC was on when we arrived from a long drive, so it was perfect for a power nap while kids went to the pool. The fact that you are overlooking the beautiful bay and enjoy the view while in the pool is perfect. Hosts were super nice and friendly! The bar between the two pools offer alll types of coffee, cold drinks and snacks. We will definitely come back, maybe to one of the villas that offer that one more level of privacy to the perfect location.

We stayed in a beautiful clean and comfy apartment -with a large balcony. It had great heating and air-conditioning so would be great in any season. This is a super friendly, family run business - nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so welcoming. We thought that Aristakos was such a lovely authentic town. We were in this area for walking and birdwatching and visited the Ethniko Parko Limnothalasson Mesolongiou - which we loved. Overall a brilliant stay.

A few more items for cooking in the kitchen. I'm sure that most visitors go out to eat - however after a long day walking we like to cook at home. So a few more cooking utensils would have helped. This is an easy fix though and when we asked for a chopping board it was brought to our apartment immediately.

From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel extremely welcome. They took us personally to our apartment which had the most amazing view. The apartment was well equiped and comfortable. Very boutique accommodation with lovely pool area with an outlook to the sea and mountains. Nothing was too much trouble and they shared their family stories and we even were given home grown cucumbers on our departure. Hospitality plus. The owners are investing a great deal on the property and the works are continuing- this was not a bother though!!

Looking forward to seeing it finished next year..

The staff were superb. We were on a cycling trip had a problem which delayed us. The team picked us up and took us back to the repair shop for a reasonable fee and with which was fantastic and helped make a difficult day much easier as well as taxiing us to and from the restaurant as we were very late. Thanks guys! The location is good with wonderful views although it is quite a steep walk to the village centre The rooms are very spacious and well equipped.

We were traveling off season and the restaurant was not open for breakfast. The food left as 'breakfast' was not good consisting of prepacked toast and some jam. As the location is out of the village this made breakfast a bit of a hassle. I would suggest not taking bookings unless a proper breakfast can be provided on site

We stayed only one night, here we decided to stop on our way to Kefalonia. We were greeted by Mr. Vasilis who led us to the spacious and very well equipped room and showed us where we can park the car. Large swimming pool, and in the evening it is beautifully lit, the cottages look very good, some of them are even recently built and furnished. From the room I had a very beautiful view of the sea. We liked it very much the accommodation conditions and the hospitality. Thank you Mr. Vasilis for hospitality.
