The property is beautiful and we had a stunning room with sea view. Breakfast by the pool every morning was a delight and the choice of fruits and pastries, fresh juice, coffee and cooked food was delicious. But most of all Antonio and Katerina were the most wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They had restaurant suggestions, gave us a gift for our anniversary, brought an ice cream when we were by the pool and greeted us with smiles and warmth whenever we encountered them. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and it is a joy to have a clean room with fresh towels every day.

The pool and pool area are smallish but in no way does it feel cramped and the view is fabulous. Comfy sun loungers and they provide pool towels. Also provide beach towels. The lounge/breakfast area are very comfortable. Breakfast itself is of a very good quality with lots to choose from. Great staff. They cannot do enough for you. Very friendly, polite, helpful and approachable.

We booked a Classic Superior Room well in advance and chose it from the photos that were on all of the websites. The room we got when we arrived wasn’t the one that was shown on the website and we were really disappointed in the room that we were allocated. It had a very small terrace in front of it with a good view but there was no privacy at all as the walkway to the pool and restaurant went right in front of it. There was also a communal lounge area outside of it and directly under our bedroom window. We did ask to move rooms but this was not possible. For the price we paid we were left underwhelmed at our room allocation and outside seating area. We like to sit outside our room in comfort and privacy…this just didn’t live up to our expectations!

The location of the hotel is perfect. We had a large room with super, comfortable balcony overlooking the harbour and we made the best of the views every day. The hotel is very stylish with a strong 'arty' bias which we loved. Breakfast was excellent - plentiful and lots of choice. And last but definitely not least, the staff were lovely. very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

I would say the only negative, is that it was a bit frustrating to not have a bedside table in such a large room (having to put glass of water, specs etc on the floor isn't ideal).

The Perantzada was everything we expected. We were greeted with a complimentary drink at the pool on check-in which gave us a chance to catch our breath and admire the view over Vathy Harbour. We were allocated the "Red Passion" room which was on the Reception floor, so only involved climbing one flight of stairs (17 steps) from the street. It has a quirky little balcony which is accessed through the window, and which affords partial views of the town and harbour. The bathroom is adequately sized and the shower is wonderful - the complimentary toiletries (Korres) are the best I have ever come across in any hotel and I look forward to purchasing some on my next visit to Greece. Breakfast, which is served in the new part of the building next to the pool, is varied and substantial, including cereals, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon, and Greek sweets, cakes and pies. The very friendly and helpful staff are also happy to cook fried and poached eggs, or omelettes if preferred. The hotel is located a very easy, pleasant five minute walk from the town centre, where you can find a good number of restaurants and cafeterias.

We found it challenging to get to the hotel in the car, as the streets in the area are narrow and we weren't sure if we were heading in the right direction in the one way system. I ended up walking to the door where I was reassured by the staff that we could drive on, so we offloaded the luggage which was taken up by the staff while we found a parking space one street away on the harbour, about one minute's walk away.

Breakfast was very rich: savoury dishes (cold meats, cheeses...) alternated with various tasty homemade cakes, full-flavoured Greek yoghurts, drinks of all kinds, served by exceptionally polite yet discreet staff. The owner/manager was a person of great hospitality, showing uncommon kindness and a rare old-fashioned politeness. This gave us immense pleasure. His hospitable attitude fully meets the standards of ancient Greek hospitality, where the guest was considered sacred. This important characteristic, which is an added value, did not vanish in this place, as very often happens in hotels we have already visited in Europe.

What can I say? Perentzada is the jewel of Vathy. By the time we came back from breakfast the rooms were cleaned. Breakfast was all homemade with a wide selection and absolutely delicious. Antonis was on top of everything and constantly attending to the guests needs and always available. The lovely Katerina always at breakfast showing us such hospitality we have not known elsewhere. She is priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a stay in Ithaca. Nothing negative to say. Congratulations to all!

The hotel is stunning, with fantastic views over the bay of Vathy. The room was gorgeous but what really made it special was the staff. The service is as good as any hotel I have stayed in around the world, but with a personal touch that is rare to find. Katerina gets to know every guest and anticipates what they might want or need. All the staff are super professional and friendly and can't do enough to make your stay special. This atmosphere seems to rub off on the guests too, who were all very friendly and sharing their recommendations. The pool area is comfortable and relaxing with stunning views. We are looking forward to returning. This really is a special place.

Thank you to Katerina and all the wonderful staff at Perantzada, for your exceptional service and wanting to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. You exceeded all of our expectations. Our room was amazing perfectly clean and modern. The view overlooking Vathi was beautiful during the day and night. The stroll to local restaurants and shops was very close. Katerina and her staff were most helpful offering advice on local places to see and visit. I have visited Ithaki many times and I will definitely be returning to your hotel and also will be recommending you to all my friends and family.

I loved everything

Great breakfast! The wonderful staff greeted you with a huge smile every morning. Katerina’s, Dimitri and Adoni service was fantastic. They enquired about the previous days activities and offered suggestions about your days program. Very thoughtful touches like bringing you a small ice cream on a hot day with your coffee was a real treat!

I struggled a little with the layout of the bathroom. Beds were a little low!

It was fantastic. The hotel is so luxurious and everything is made with a lot of taste… there are so many details to look at. Very very beautiful. And Mrs. Katharina is just extraordinary! She is like the sunshine when the sun doesn’t shine. Very much caring and always there, with great kindness and always helpful with humor and joy, with Information and a very good breakfast! The other lady (Elvira?) was also very kind and helpful! Such nice people in a wonderful hotel!
