Our son and his friends stayed here as we had to cancel our trip to Europe unexpectedly. Barbara was kind, friendly and communicated well with me even though I was unable to come and stuck in Australia. She was happy to host our son and his two friends instead. We are so thankful for this! This review is completed through my experience communicating with Mentor and my son’s opinion of the hotel having stayed there. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the view from the bedroom of the bay was stunning. Breakfast was an amazing selection of homemade cakes, biscuits, rice pudding, sweets and other delicious goodies. We will come back to Mentor when we return to Ithaki.

I had the nicest stay in this hotel, the staff was very kind and I even got a room upgrade with sea view. The breakfast was nice, the oven broke during my stay but they still made me cooked breakfast in the morning. Overall a very nice experience.

If you stay in a room with sea view, it can get a bit noisy at night as there are always motorcycles passing by. The light of the balcony can't be turned off either which can be a bit annoying if you want to keep the balcony door opened at night.

Warm welcome 11am ahead of check-in time, offered complimentary breakfast and left bags at reception before coming back 2pm to check-in. Basic room. Perfect location for Vathy. Taxi to Filatro beach (worth a visit) & walked to Loutsa beach with a couple of bars on-route. Lots of good restaurants in town by the harbour. Loved Ithaca.

Shower cubicle very small.

Good location close to the center but not in the center of the town. Breakfast from 7:30 to 11. Very nice staff.

Rooms in the left side (watching the hotel) are a bit noisy during nignt due to a street. Shower without protection: everytime you have a shower it is impossible to avoid filling up the bathroom with water. Anyway this is a very common situation in Greece.

Excellent location on the water front. Recently renovated room was spotless with fresh towels and linen every day. In room fridge a/c and safety box at no extra cost. Lovely breakfast, ample choice and lovely setting eating out on the veranda overlooking the harbour.

Mattress was a bit firm/hard for me.

The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. This was our central hub for all of our friends and family visiting for our wedding in Ithaki. I had a suite overlooking Vathy and Lazaretto Island. The rooms were clean, staff were there for anything we needed, and the food/breakfast was above expectations. I cannot wait to come back and stay again.

The location was a lovely walk along the esplanade of Vathy in close vicinity to shops, restaurants, boat harbour and wonderful beaches, overlooking an amazing view of the glassy sea and boats that visit the Island. The wonderful Spirit of Greek hospitality calls us back . We shall return!

The beds could have been a bit more comfortable.

The homemade breakfast is amazing! It included fruit, tomatoes, cucumbers, oven, baked omelette, homemade cakes, coffee, tea, real, honey, breads, etc. The view from the balcony view over the bay is awesome. Staff was super friendly and helpful – all smiles. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

Nothing not to like.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was great - just a couple of minutes' walk from the town square. They managed breakfast really well by serving us what we wanted from the buffet, and we could sit outside for breakfast. Special shoutout to Barbara on Reception, who went above and beyond.

September seems to be hornet season in thee Ionian islands, so when we had breakfast outside, we would often get three or four hornets around us all the time. Not a fault of the hotel, but we discovered when we travelled to Kefalonia that other restaurants burn something like incense to keep them away so it would be worth the hotel trying something like this.

Location was fantastic, quiet yet convenient and close to everything. The food was very good, although we only ate breakfast there. Great view from our sea facing room.

The shower was abysmal! Not at all in keeping with the rest of the facilities.
