Wonderfully situated hotel with very helpful, kind and polite staff. The breakfast buffet was rich, with options for every taste. The hotel terrace was nicely shady to sit in and eat in the morning. Everything was very clean. Some beautiful paintings were hanging on the walls of stairwells and corridors. Due to some last minute change of plans, we arrived early in the morning and we were nevertheless given access to our room immediately and offered breakfast. The hotel being small and at least not visibly owned by a chain, we got the impression on a daily basis that the team of people that were running the different parts of it cared for delivering their part of the service, from the reception, to the breakfast, to the cleaning, to a very high standard. And they did.

Nothing, we will be coming back!

The location was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Lovely outside area to eat it.

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but the rooms were very basic. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom (it hadn’t fallen down, there were no fixings to even put one up) so you had to be either really careful having a shower and hardly move, or feel bad because you flooded the bathroom and had to mop up with towels …..

Our son and his friends stayed here as we had to cancel our trip to Europe unexpectedly. Barbara was kind, friendly and communicated well with me even though I was unable to come and stuck in Australia. She was happy to host our son and his two friends instead. We are so thankful for this! This review is completed through my experience communicating with Mentor and my son’s opinion of the hotel having stayed there. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the view from the bedroom of the bay was stunning. Breakfast was an amazing selection of homemade cakes, biscuits, rice pudding, sweets and other delicious goodies. We will come back to Mentor when we return to Ithaki.

I had the nicest stay in this hotel, the staff was very kind and I even got a room upgrade with sea view. The breakfast was nice, the oven broke during my stay but they still made me cooked breakfast in the morning. Overall a very nice experience.

If you stay in a room with sea view, it can get a bit noisy at night as there are always motorcycles passing by. The light of the balcony can't be turned off either which can be a bit annoying if you want to keep the balcony door opened at night.

The receptionists were amazing. Very helpful and patient! The location is fantastic. Walk to a beach one direction, town the other. Although a side room, my balcony gave me a nice view and being back from the main road, a little quieter. Room good, comfy bed. Good breakfast options. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is perfect for a walk into town, you can get to numerous tavernas in a couple of minutes. The view from the room (a triple) - side sea view is nice. The staff is very nice, they recomended a good boat rental company, just in front of the hotel.

Old hotel, a bit rundown, in need of an upgrade. Breakfast is average.

Warm welcome 11am ahead of check-in time, offered complimentary breakfast and left bags at reception before coming back 2pm to check-in. Basic room. Perfect location for Vathy. Taxi to Filatro beach (worth a visit) & walked to Loutsa beach with a couple of bars on-route. Lots of good restaurants in town by the harbour. Loved Ithaca.

Shower cubicle very small.

The location of this hotel is perfect, everything is close. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is buffet style and has multiple options.

Rooms are quite outdated and could need renovation. Coffee maker or kettle would be a nice addition to the room. A little pricey considering the condition of the hotel.

Helpful friendly staff who provided good advice. Great location close to restaurants and supermarkets. Wonderful view from meals area. Elevator useful with luggage. Ample power points

Bathroom small whereas the main room was generous Shower small with curtain and handheld shower head. A bracket would be wonderful.

Excellent location on the water front. Recently renovated room was spotless with fresh towels and linen every day. In room fridge a/c and safety box at no extra cost. Lovely breakfast, ample choice and lovely setting eating out on the veranda overlooking the harbour.

Mattress was a bit firm/hard for me.
