Central location, very friendly and welcoming staff, the junior suit view to the Acropolis is amazing! Windows were sound proof.

Breakfast was good but the same every day.

My husband and I stayed in the blue suite and absolutely loved it. The room was large, the tub was exceptional, and we could not have been more pleased. The staff was incredibly kind. The first night you check in, you get a free glass of wine on the rooftop bar. The wine was so good, we bought a bottle for our room! The views from the rooftop bar - and our room - were wonderful! The photo is from our balcony!

The breakfast was subpar, but it was free. It was quite noisy, but I had read enough reviews ahead of time that I expected that. I had no trouble sleeping through it, and my husband used ear plugs.

Nice and spacious rooms, clean and tidy. the property is in the best possible location, right on Monastiraki square and a few steps away from public transport. the view from our room was amazing, truly breathtaking. Breakfast buffet was huge and had almost everything you would think. The coffee at the roof garden was amazing.

The elevator is a tiny one, you can barely squeeze 2 people in there and it feels bouncy (!). Also, on the first morning we stayed there was no hot water, I addressed the reception that said they had a small problem that morning. The next day there was hot water as normal. Some people might not like the constant city noise, not that much noticable by me though and plus the windows absorbed most of it. Breakfast although big buffet was nothing really special in terms of taste.

The concierge staff were amazing. We travelled 24 hrs from Australia & made an error & arrived 1 day earlier than booked. Marina went out of her way to help us & found us a room for 1 extra night & moved us the following morning to our Acropolis view room. Effie & Alex were also super helpful with directions & recommendations. The hotels location is so convenient, the hop on hop off buses, taxis & metro directly out the front. The breakfast selection was great & the rooftop bar has the most spectacular views to start your day in Athens. We would highly recommend staying here & we will definitely return .

Nothing.

Fantastic location and view of Acropolis from the room. Comfy bed and pillows. Staff all friendly and accommodating. Nice to have a choice of a complimentary drink from the amazing roof top bar on arrival. The room faces Monastiraki Square which is lively virtually all the time so noise can be an issue. The soundproofing helps but probably isn't enough for a light sleeper. We played some white noise when we wanted to sleep and it worked wonderfully so we slept really well. Roms are a decent size with a large double shower which was lovely after a day out and about. We would definately stay here again. Location is amazing and you can walk to all the main attractions. We loved Athens , throw yourself into it and have a great stay here at A for Athens. Thank You to all the team.

Can't sit out on the balcony due to the size. Not really an issue and still nice to have though.

Great location in the center of the city. Rooftop restaurant with Acropolis view. But you have to book it in advance to be sure you will get a table on the right side of the restaurant. We had a balcony with Acropolis view in our room, which was wonderful!

Very small lift, but it can be understood, probably there were not enough space in the old building. But Resrourant staff could be better. They spoiled by popularity of their restaurant’s position. We booked the table with Acropolis view and asked to keep seats right on the side for making pictures of Acropolis. But when we arrived in time, our seats were engaged by other people. We were offered the second sort of seats for one hour, after waiting when the couple leave, we got our seats, but it was already dark and we missed the time for pictures! That was such disappointing! We didn’t feel respected in the restaurant. Staff is rushing, like in the street eatery.

We stayed in a suite on the 5th floor….firstly the view of the Monastiraki directly opposite, the room and view was magnificent!! Spacious , clean , great lay out and beautiful in every way…. Not sure that a bathtub was needed in that spot because it sits in a prime position of the room… but overall it was superior.

The plants on the balcony covering the view of the Monastiraki… you could see it standing up but the purpose of a balcony is to sit back with a drink and to enjoy the view… but the plants must be there because if you decide to have a bath, you’ll be seen from the outside.

We stayed 2 nights at A for Athens in room 41, the double room with balcony and Acropolis view. It was absolutely stunning. This is the best hotel view and location in all of Athens. The photos don’t do it justice. The room itself is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Bed was comfortable and I loved the Korres brand toiletries provided. Staff was amazing - super friendly and helpful, provided us with suggestions, arranged airport transfers and even provided us with boxed breakfasts because we had an early flight in the morning. Thank you so much A for Athens!

Being ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as the soundproofing isn’t great, and there is a lot of noise from the rooftop bars/clubs and Monastiraki square all night.

The location was perfect. In the heart of Monastiraki with close proximity to the Acropolis. Beautiful view of the Acropolis from the roof top bar of our hotel. Lots of little laneways to explore. We stayed in a standard room and was comfortable for two people. Continental breakfast in the morning served on the rooftop bar was quite substantial. The staff were very friendly & I couldn't really fault the facilities. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay so I couldn't fault anything.

The best is the location, right in the heart of PLAKA. Good breakfast.

The restaurant in the rooftop is run by a private owner, it is not run by the hotel so if you want to go in the evening just to chill out, you can't unless you have a reservation. The hotel gave us drink vouchers for the entire family and we tried to use it but the restaurant attendant said only the bar manager could authorized it, and he was never there. The street of the entrance of the hotel was block because of a construction right across. The taxi left us in the intersection of a very busy street and we had to carry our luggage until the entrance.
