Hotel Athens21 on Athinas Street near Monastiraki Square, off the lively Psirri, near Ermou Street, with views over the city, is a good choice for those who want to live in the center of Athens, a short distance from everything. Our room's balcony on the sixth floor had a view over Anafiotika and Monastiraki to the Acropolis. Our room was spacious, with adequate closet space. The bed was very good to sleep on. Small kitchen well equipped. The bathroom with shower spacious. There was even a small corner shelf for the toiletry bag, full points! The same goes for the long side table, on which it was easy to pack bags. The hotel reception is small, but the hotel staff is even friendlier. Helpful and cordial, easy to talk to. The breakfast in the cafe next door was good. We especially appreciated the good coffee and fresh orange juice. Our stomachs were full every morning, which was a loss to other nearby cafes and restaurants.

The hotel can't do anything for the sounds of the city, nor for the sounds of the house and of living in it. It's part of the charm of Athens. So if the sounds bother you, ask for a quiet room or earplugs.

We have spent 3 nights in that hotel and it was excellent choice. Hotel is placed in the center, just 100m walk from Monastiriaki metro station (where you can get direct by train from airport). Basicly to all what you need see in Athens - you can walk. Room was spacious, equipped with everything you need. It was reasonable silent considering being just in the center. Room and bathroom were absolutely clean. Breakfast was served in the bar nearby the entrance - excellent choice among 3 breakfast menu's. On 6th floor - you can find terrace with splendid view on Acropolis... and you can just grab some olives and bottle of wine from the shop and spent gorgeous evening sitting there (or hotel offers their choice of wine list. And on top - there is Georgia:) who offers excellent customer service (<-5 star hotel experience). Absolutely recommended place to stay in Athens.

There is really nothing to complain :), maybe would be good if hotel can offer something against mosquitos (there were some during the night), so you can sleep with open window instead of cooling yourself with air-conditioner in the night.

Great location. Brilliant view of the acropolis from the roof terrace. All the staff were very helpful. 3 breakfast options. We had the Greek breakfast twice and the continental breakfast once. The Greek breakfast was better. Asked the hotel about laundry service, for €13 we got 3 days worth of clothing for a couple washed and dried. Dropped off by 9am and picked up from reception at 5pm. Room was cleaned every day.

Our room faced the main road and it was noisy with traffic but we chose the hotel for the location.

Good location & comfortable room Good wifi

Due to its central location on busy/weekend nights a lot of noise came into the room from the street, as our room was facing the main road. Also, in the morning a lot of noise was heard from the cleaning staff as they frequently moved furniture in the room on the above floor or in the rooms next to us and would also talk loudly outside of our room door.

Location, size of room, breakfast, staff, cleanliness. Would highly recommend this hotel, walking distance to the Acropolis, and if you don’t want to walk there just sit on their terrace and take in the views from there. Even the Hop on hop,off bus is just at the end of the street. Breakfast fantastic, staff wonderfully friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Athens.

The breakfast provided by the adjoining restaurant was excellent. Food was fresh, varied choice of menu and portions more than ample. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were given a room at the back of the hotel Which limited the noise of traffic, it was quieter than expected for central Athens, a superb location with varied means of public transport very close by.

There was nothing to dislike. Location was excellent. The atmosphere was electric. People were lovely. The traffic was heavy nearby the hotel but the location and access to so much culture made it easy to ignore.

The boutique hotel was just lovely. The room was very clean and comfortable and the shower was amazing. The front desk staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with them. We booked a room with breakfast and breakfast was amazing! You go next-door to the restaurant for it with a voucher and it was a total feast! The continental breakfast is not like an American continental breakfast. It included fresh, squeezed, orange juice, coffee, a fruit bowl with fresh fruit, we had the veggie omelette that was enormous, plus toast, and fresh jam and honey, and it came with a salad too! We did not have to eat lunch any of our days in Athens because it sustained us all the way till dinner. The location is great. Easy walking distance to all of the antiquities, as well as the fun shopping streets, the city market, and the flea market area. And the metro to and from the airport is literally 100 feet down the street from the hotel. Highly recommend!

Nothing!

we stayed the second time at the hotel, First time we enjoyed our stay very much and decided to book the hotel again, As well we asked for a quiet room, we have been located in a room to the street. Unfortunately the windows are not sound proof so we heard the trafic in the morning. But as it was only for one night, we did not mind. But sadly our request was not respected or advised at check in. Breakfast is served in the coffee shop in the ground floor of the hotel, We enjoyed it more while it was locted in the hotel, but the breakfast was nice and sufficient. .

Location of the room, new breakfast location

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Athens21 Hotel during my trip to Athens, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, especially the receptionist Georgia, who made me feel welcome and at home. Georgia's warm and welcoming demeanor was a true highlight of my stay, and she went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable visit. The hotel itself is located in a prime location, with easy access to all of the major attractions in Athens. The rooms at Athens21 Hotel are spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was comfortable and provided a great night's sleep, and the room was spotlessly clean. One of the highlights of my stay at Athens21 Hotel was the rooftop, which offers stunning views of the city. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of sightseeing, and the atmosphere is just magical. Overall, I would highly recommend Athens21 Hotel to anyone visiting Athens. The hotel offers exceptional service, stylish rooms, and a prime location, making it the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers!!

We stayed here the first night of our stay in Athens, the staff were so helpful and everything about the hotel was great. The location is perfect, the rooms were clean and the breakfast at the cafe below was lovely in the morning. The staff were so helpful that after a weeks cruise they allowed us to store bags and chill out on the rooftop whilst we filled time between getting off the cruise and headimg to the airport (we had a very late flight). The hotel had no need to do this and really went the extra mile for us. If we return to Athens we will definitely stay here again!

There was some street noise when the bin lorry came past in the morning, but this was brief and the street went back to quiet after this.
