The rooms were really beautiful decorated stylishly, and were very clean. it was located in a great area which was very easy for us to get around. They had a stunning roof terrace which was perfect for lazing around in the sun after we’d finished expiring. The breakfast that was provided was super yummy too. And the staff were amazingly attentive. We have our own iPads in our room which linked directly to the reception which made it very easy to communicate any needs that we had. They also had Spotify that linked to our own speaker in the room which was also a really good feature.

The bathroom didn’t have any doors, just a curtain. it kind of ruins the romantic ambiance hearing your partner do their business. We had to schedule ‘number 2’ times with each other as neither of wanted to be in the room at that moment.

The Mona is its own urban space, with low key sophistication. But also it has the same care, effortless style and wonderfully focused design as its sister location Shila. The staff are friendly and attentive, but discreet. The curated attention to details in the rooms is balanced perfectly- artisan toiletries clothing and drinks, the playlists on the ipad. The breakfast was full of lovely local fresh treats and served on large communal tables. The rooftop sunset at night was the prefect end to our trip.

For some reason the coffee machine in the room would not behave.

The location is amazing and it’s a very inspiring hotel. the design is cool, there’s loads of fun design ideas, the breakfast is really nice, and most inportantly the staff is really kind.

Some of the design elements of the room like the taps for water, or the curtains look really cool and ingenious, but their function is not great, the taps are hard to open for example. The showers are fantastic, and the open bathroom concept super fun. However, be warned that someone outside might be looking at you showering haha. We stayed in the suite and I understand the flowy concept. I just believe that the hotel can add a set of velvet curtains to allow for the option of having more privacy if you want to. Not everyone likes to know the neighbors could be enjoying you having your shower.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The accommodation lives up to the reviews by the travel journals and more. Small touches like fresh coffee beans for the coffee machine in the room, extra towels, and the iPad that allowed us to choose things like room service, music and other local things to do. The bath was a great feature and the artworks are interesting and fun. Really close to the acropolis and Parthenon. Great views from the rooftop bar.

Can’t fault it.

Gorgeous little boutique hotel in a perfect location to the city centre. Everything is so well thought out - the decor and finishing touches are so eclectic. The customer service from the staff was exceptional - nothing too difficult for them to assist with. Delicious breakfast included and a wonderful view of the Acropolis from the rooftop. Would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you like things that are a little different.

We arrived after a long day travelling to rain and a cold day but the lovely staff immediately made us feel welcome and upgraded us from the standard room booked to the penthouse. It is a beautiful space, thoroughly thought out little comforts in room & one very hip cool vibe. Like arriving home to where you wish you lived! The breakfast was the best we have had after 2 months of travel in Europe. The staff couldnt have been more helpful but not in an in your face way with a considerate feel. Couldnt have asked for better. 11 out of 10!

Nothing it was perfect

My flight was delayed and I was to arrive at 3 am in the morning. The hotel staff personally called me to inform me the code for the entrance and how to get my keys. In addition, they were kind enough to upgrade me. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff as nice as can be. My room was beautiful, spacious, very clean and the bed had the most soft and organic sheets ever. A wonderful sleep and a lovely terrace. The location was great.

The hotel is on a side street that is not so illuminated and being a woman alone, I was a bit anxious walking down the street but, all was fine in the end.

I have been to Athens multiple time and I can confidently say, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in the city. It is designed beautifully, even the pictures don’t do the justice. Attention to detail is immaculate. Staff is very attentive and very friendly, they even let me check in way earlier after a very long day of travelling. The hotel is located in a very central, nice part of Athens and it is very close to the direct metro line from the airport.

The design of the hotel is wonderful and unique. LOVED it! The fact that breakfast could be served in the restaurant, in our room or at the terrace to our choice, was refreshingly great! Also, the location and the hospitality were amazing!

Although breakfast was tasty and unique, the choice was extremely limited. Also, the bed was too soft in my opinion.

What an interesting and delightful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, super rooftop and a fabulous and healthy breakfast.

As a repurposed building the rooms may not have the typical comforts of a superior hotel but this is more than made up for by design and interiors.
