We really enjoyed our stay in Folia Hotel apartments. Folia is in a beautiful location overlooking the sea with a big swimming pool area and loungers. They have a lovely dining area around the pool where you can have breakfast and lunch as well as cocktails at the bar in the evening. There is a large selection of different breakfast items available from the breakfast buffet which were delicious to enjoy with the view of the pool. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking the sea. There is also very good Wi-Fi from the rooms and the hotel grounds. The owners of the hotel are really helpful and made the stay very enjoyable, helping us with travel recommendations and transfers to the airport.

We really liked the pool area and staff were very friendly. The view for breakfast was very pretty with sea views. Excluding the steepness of the hill, the property is in a good location close to the beach, bus station and lots of shops and restaurants Shower facilities after checkout were very nice and useful.

Our room was on ground floor next to the cleaning cupboard and we were woken up every morning by the cleaners having a chat/grabbing their stuff at around 7am everyday. Our room didn’t have double glazing so we found that every noise from the outside was clearly audible.

This was a dream stay as Folia Apartments had everything a female solo traveler like me needed. Private room away from the eye, fantastic dream views of the sea that I woke up to every day of my 4-day stay to enjoy my yoga and tea; a swimming pool that was really cool. Amazing family-run place, with Giannis answering and helping you out for locations nearby, a yummy breakfast with view of the clear sea that every nature lover would love. I couldn't ask for more! I wish I had added more days here. The bus station is a few minutes walk away and I also could rent a scooter to enjoy Chania on my own. Really loved every minute of it, would go back again!

Fabulous view from the balcony, good sized room with a good sized fridge, crockery and cutlery. It's located less than 10 minutes downhill walk to the beach which is great (the uphill walk back is a little harder!). There aren't loads of sunloungers but there are definitely enough, we managed to get afternoon or morning sunloungers when we wanted. The staff are all really friendly. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby.

The WiFi in the rooms isn't brilliant, but I don't really use WiFi when away so it doesn't bother me 😊

The hotel is amazing. We arrived early in the morning and were welcomed by the staff (the family) who did everything to make us as comfortable as possible while our rooms were prepared. They went above and beyond what was expected from them, changing my room last minute since I have currently a mobility problem. The hotel is super clean and you notice that the family cares so much about the hotel and the guests. The view from the hotel is beautiful and the swimming pool is the perfect place to relax with a nice cocktail. The beach is walking distance and despite a hill (which is not a poblem, even with my reduced mobility) at the end, it is nice to be so close to the beach. There are several supermarkets in the neighbourhood and lot of nice restaurants as well. However, I strongly recommend to eat at the hotel if you can, because the food there was one of the best things we tasted. I have rated a lot of hotels, but cannot give this hotel any less than a 10. The rooms are large, the airco is silent and extremely efficient, the beds are very comfortable and the cleaning staff cleans the rooms regularly. Do not hesitate to book this hotel, you will not be disappointed!

I would have loved to stay longer at this hotel. There is absolutely nothing that I can think of which should be improved. It is the perfect place to stay when you are on Crete.

Beautiful hotel. Location was perfect with an amazing view from our balcony. Easy to get to beach and into Chania by bus. Room was exceptionally clean and maintained every day, as was the pool area. Breakfast was everything you could need and was topped up constantly. Owners and staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. We wish we could have had longer there! Thank you for a fabulous stay 😊

The apartment was spotless as was the bedding. Extremely comfortable. The Staff were welcoming, special shout out to Stefan and yianis they went above and beyond.

Only issue for me due to my restricted walking abilities was the location. It was up a couple of steep hills. For the able bodied ut would not be a problem at all, only a 5 min walk to the main strip where bars, shops and restaurants are

Cleanliness: rooms are cleared everyday, towels and bed sheets are changed every 2 days. Nice see view, spacious room, absence of noise especially in the evenings and at nights. It is not hot in the rooms even if air-condition is turned off because it is possible to open balkony and windows in the bathroom from the other side and create light airflow to cool the room during the day and at night.

One bed was too soft, second bed was too hard. Hotel is located on small hill so it is a little bit hard to get there on foot when it is hot but I think this is common for this location. Beach is too narrow and filled with sunbeds, waves in the sea were too strong when we visited the beach so it was hard to swim there.

All staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool area was really nice, good size, depth and temperature. Sunbeds all round so you can catch the sun or shade throughout the day, whichever you choose. The sunbeds occasionally got full but there are also tables and chairs around the pool so there is still somewhere to sit. There's a supermarket a few minutes walk away, and the beach is only about 10 minutes walk. There are lots of lovely restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk away too. Good sized fridge with freezer compartment which is handy to keep water cold. Large double bed and really good aircon which wasn't too loud. Nice little balcony with 4 chairs and a table and lovely view of the sea. Room was really clean, plenty of electrical sockets and light switches. Taxi organised to and from the airport by staff at a flat rate of €38, and even though we were delayed arriving they had our flight times so the taxi was waiting for us as we landed without any issues. It's about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport but you get to see lovely views on the way. Would definitely come again.

We were in a two floor apartment and the WiFi didn't always reach the top floor, for us this wasn't a problem as we didn't come away to use WiFi, and it was perfect on the lower floor.

We loved our stay in Crete in the Hotel Folia. Property and rooms were exceptionally clean. The hotel is a family run business and all staff members were very kind and friendly. Location is great, everything you need is within walking distance: beautiful beach, shops and plenty of great restaurants. Breakfast was really good, it fuelled all our hikes on this beautiful island. If you fancy a lazy day, staying at the pool is a great option too (you can get some food and nice drinks from the pool bar).
