The hotel is located on the first line to the beach and there are huge amount of cafés, restaurants, shops, touristic agencies, pharmacies, super markets, which is making it to be a perfect location. Check in and check out we very fast. On the beach, even that you need to pay 10 euro for couple of the sunbeds, the hotel is providing free cold water, watermelon and even towel for face refreshment, which was impressive.

The isolation is not the best. Even that hotel is adults only, we were listening baby crying from the house next to it. Housekeeping could be better. In our case, they didn't clean area of the balcony and didn't change the towels and sheets. Moreover on the last day, the housekeeping lady entered our room at 7 am, which was not the best experience. The breakfast is very basic.

Pool area, located near the beach, nice rooms and friendly staff

The room with pool view can have really good/bad view. We booked a room with pool view and got room 602 and our view was into a house wall. From our entrance you could see the pool if you turned your head. This room and 601 should not be called “room with pool view”. This room is more expensive than garden view but that view is definitely better.

The hotel is in a great beachfront location, very close to supermarkets, lovely restaurants and bus stops to Xania. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel and the room was modern, clean and stylish. We went in October therefore there was plenty of space around the pools and at the beachfront which we enjoyed. The staff were lovely and helpful for the duration of our stay. Overall it was a great hotel choice for access to both the beach and to the city of Xania. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the Xania region.

The double beds were two single beds pushed together which was a little unexpected. There was a 10EUR charge for the beach sun beds which wasn't well advertised. There was also no iron and ironing boards within the rooms however an iron was available from reception upon request.

The staff was lovely and very helpful.

Our room shower was impossible to use without flooding the bathroom. The bathroom was very small and once the door was open it was hard to have any space. I would recommend a sliding door.

We had a wonderful time at the Atlantica Amalthia Beach Hotel. We stayed for a week and were really pleased with the facilities and our room! A special thank you to Tatiana and Andreas who really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable! Our room was very clean and our beds were made each day with fresh towels provided by the lovely cleaners. The breakfast was tasty with good variations each day. I'd definitely be returning!

- The hotel only has a small number of irons available - we ended up waiting 3 days for a working iron! But the staff really helped us to secure one so try and get one as soon as you get in! - The aircon only works when the balcony door is fully closed/shut. We only worked that out on day 2 as it was the cleaners who left the balcony door slightly open. - We were told you're not allowed to bring your own food or drinks at the beach area and even the upper pool area; however, the food at the beach restaurant is delicious and there are some really good options for food and beach clubs in the local area!

Breakfast was a very good buffet with a wide variety of breads, meats, cheese, fruit and a cooked breakfast section including a chef who would make omelettes to order. We had a beach view room with a patio that led out to the pool. The room was of a good size and well appointed. The hotel was on the beach, which was very well maintained and accessed via the pool area.

We went half board, which on retrospect, was a mistake. The evening meal was very limited in choice, especially when you compare it to the a la carte menu. I have to say it wasn't bad, it's just that there was so much more on offer.

Cleanliness, food, location.

Didn't know room would be so far from beach. No hot tubs, just what looked like hottubs, but not. Room AC hard to figure out. Took awhile to be sure it was on and cooling because it is very quiet, blows softly from one part of vent strip near ceiling and can shutoff if key removed or a door is left open. Local traffic doesn't seem to have a speed limit in this conjested tourist area. Would not bring small children to this area.

Beds were very comfortable. Room deluxe with pool view very modern and well designed. Balcony overlooking pool in new part of hotel over the road. Waiters were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet very good wide range of food. Fruit, cereal, cold deli hams cheese salad etc. Omelettes made to order, pancakes scrambled egg and usual fried bacon. Set menu in evening very good well cooked and taken outside with sea view. Lovely strawberry daiquiri made by George and lots of other cocktails too. Enjoyed beach 5euro one chair got fruit, bottled water and wet towels to refresh yourself. Waiter service on beach excellent . Good local buses outside hotel very cheap 1.6 euro into chania. Lots of places to eat very near by. Lovely pools and sun loungers with thick quality cushions.

Just lacked a little atmosphere but could have been because mid September and lots of people took evening meal out not HB.

I was stunned with the breakfast. There is a lot of different food, anything you can think they have, trust me. But what I liked the most is that they serve you warm Nutella which tastes amazing. I also liked the fact that there are five pools. Hotel's private beach also looks great. Also I was there on a honeymoon and had birthday and the gave me present for both. They even made me a little birthday cake and left it in my room as a surprise.

I didn't like the water in the pool. It was perfectly clean but it could be warmer because the place is windy in October when I was there.

Nice location, nice staff and the hotel is beautiful. The restaurant at the beach is perfect for dinner or a snack during the day. Breakfast is also good and with a great choice of food. Nice beach. Would recommend!

As it is a beach hotel, would be better if the sunbeds are included and guests can use them for free.
