I’d like to thank all the team, they were the coolest, friendliest and fun people. Very kind and polite and happy to assist and provide the greatest hospitality. The room was getting carefully cleaned ON A DAILY BASIS which was the nicest feeling when I was coming back to it. The location is PERFECT right on the center, with all the stores above the hotel, 7 mins from the port by walk if you want to go grab a drink during the night. The hotel is an old “mansion”, a traditional home from the old times renovated to become this boutique hotel. They have kept the character, the hand painted ceilings with drawings and they have added the modern segment which makes it lovely. You may take your breakfast at the back yard with the traditional fountain, which also operates as a coffee place for the public.

The hotel is in a very nice building with high ceilings and in a very central location. We had everything we might need in the room. The balcony was very nice. We liked the place overall.

It's not the property's fault but we struggled with the mosquitos all night. They left a plug-in repellent but I think it didn't work and we had to woke up in every 2 hours to spray our own mosquito repellent. And when finally the sun has risen, the church bell started to ring in every half an hour (maybe more frequent, but i'm sure it was more than once in every hour). It's located in a central street, so if you prefer to leave the windows open, it's a bit noisy. If you need to rest and sleep well, it's better to choose an inner room.

Hotel is on the shopping street, close to port and restaurants. We stayed 3 nights and it was a good choise. We rent a car and visit all recommended travel points like mesta, pyrgi then evening in the center of chios we had lots of choise for dinner, etc. On the hotel street there is not option for car parking but 200 metres away, we could find parking places. Streets are narrow so it is better to have small cars. Hotel decoration is nice and staff are helpfull. Everyday we had room cleaning and all bathroom sanitary wares were full and had good quality. It is better to inform hotel about your arrival and departure time due to working hours. they are helpful and if they know they share instruction for proper check-in. For late check out they support us.No problem about safety.

Since there us a Cafe below it could be noisy and bed was too soft which is not my taste.

Very charming and beautiful building, with a nice internal court to have breakfats or lunch/dinner. Very good breakfast, with qualitative and local products, lot of choice. The staff is very kind and they supported us with all our requests, even for quick loundry. Very central position in Chios, in the streets of the nice shops and close to beaches and various restaurants. Close to the evening/night life of Chios.

Very large room, high ceiling (~4m), near the central commercial road of chios.

There was a cafe on the ground floor resulting in noise late night and early morning. Not ideal if you are planning to rest. Additionally, despite having heavy drapes, there was light coming in first thing in the morning. Finally, there was noise from the breakfast area situated right outside our room.

We loved the hotel! First of all, although our departure was delayed due to the storm, the hotel immediately found a solution to our problem. They helped with everything, never caused any problems. Our room was great. The environment of the hotel is also very nice. Staff are very friendly. Hotel is very central. If we go to Chios again, we will stay in the same place again.

Agora Residence is an old stately home beautifully restored and transformed into an excellent boutique hotel on a pedestrian street right in the center of Hora, the main city and capital of the island of Chios (pronounced "Hios" with a hard "h" as in the word "house"). Breakfast is served in the room but the hotel also features a serene enclosed garden restaurant- cafe where one can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks or just coffee. The manager and all the staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. Overall my 4 day stay at the Agora Residence was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Hope to visit again soon. Recommend it whole hardheartedly!

The property is located in an old, beautiful mansion. there are facilities for making coffee and breakfast essentials in the common hall. the cafe downstairs offers a variety for any type of meal and offers a discount to the clients of the Agora residence

The place is centrally located in the town of Chios, the rooms are very well organized and equipped and the service is wonderful! It is immaculate, and the staff is extremely friendly. The central location means that it is not extremely quiet at all times, but that is inevitable.

We recommend the hotel very much and would stay there again if we come to Chios.

Excellent location, beautiful establishment, ideal for those who enjoy dwelling in hotels with aesthetics and an essence of local architecture. A marvellous small cafe / brunch restau at the inner yard that will allow you to work on your laptop while enjoying the mild weather and a house recipe. Prefer the scrambled eggs.

It's a family business so some delays at the reception desk are expected. Nothing annoying though.
