The welcoming and helpful owner and staff; the delicious breakfast and particularly the homemade bougatsa; the fridge with a supply of water; the location in a peaceful small street in the old town, situated really near everything and only at a seven minutes walk from San Rocco Square where the bus from the airport stops. If I go back to Corfu I will definitely stay again at Locandiera.

Wonderfull stay in corfu city, perfect for 5 nights and more. Very nice and helpfull staff. Anastasia prepared for our arrival maps with details where to go & eat, explained us how to discover the most out of corfu. Really nice and helpfull. What we liked the most: - Location (near old city, many food & market places, 10 minutes from city bus center and 20 minutes from green bus station) - Staff (really helpfull and nice, make us felt like home, we had cruise early in the morning one day and they made us little lunch for take away) - Big room (with bottled water, fridge, toster, microvawe etc. All you need was there) - Breakfast (tasty self made Orange juice, and basic but very good hams cheeses, eggs, fruits and sweets also self made) - Modern (even with classic style of this small hotel (6 rooms) it was very Modern with key card to enter the hotel and good working AC

We had room on the top, therefore we did not hear the noises above us (which we saw was the regular negative point about the hotel) There is no lift, therefore it may be the issue with luggage if you have back problems. Bathroom is a little bit outdated, shower walls were a little bit soggy. One night we had issues to Fall asleep due to neighboring room. They were watching tv to late night hours, and walls seem not be so sound proof. We heard the tv like it was in our room.

The hotel is amazing! I don't know how I was so lucky to find it. The location is perfect - 2 steps away from the Old town places to be, but the noise is drowned out. It's super clean, decorated with love, has a lot of space. The hostesses were amazing - they gave recommendations, a map, every morning they offer and make you coffee, eggs and orange juice. The breakfast itself is a great platter choice of homemade sweets, jams, great bread, cherry tomatoes and olives, greek yoghurt - all of it is to die for! The room was huge, had a little kitchenette with a sink, fridge and microwave if you prefer to eat in. Even though it's not necessary - they go by every morning to empty the bins and check if you need toiletries.

There wasn't a speck of something we did not like.

From the moment I arrived at Locandiera, Nancy (the owner) instantly made me feel welcomed. It's a peaceful, calm and very clean guest house, with impeccible service. I was offered coffee, something to eat from the small breakfast bar. It was too early to check into my room, but I was able to leave my suitcase, Nancy sat with me and mapped out my walk around Corfu Town. Highlighting spots of interest, best places to eat, get coffee, see the sights and anything else I was keen to see. Such a warm welcome and genuine offer of assistance to all the guests. You feel like a visitor, not a tourist! When I returned and checked into my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and facilities of my room. It was so clean and spacious and later that night I slept so well. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast is fresh daily, and the offer of cooked eggs on demand - happy days! Locandiera is a lovely little heartbeat in Central Corfu town. Perfect location for walking, dining and sunbathing on the harbour. I highly recommend this if you want to get a good rest and feel like you're still part of Corfu Town.

The hospitality of the management and staff is wonderful. The location in the town center is unbeatable. The breakfasts are good-- buffet style. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay at Locandiera again, in fact it would be our first (and only) choice.

The hotel does not have a lift, so advice to those who may have mobility or other issues to ask for a room on the first floor. Our first room was on the third floor and I have a cardiac problem, which made it difficult to climb three flights easily. The manager/owner made arrangements to move me to a room on the first floor after a cancellation. So lesson to ME, to always check with the hotel to be sure that I ask for a room that won't cause an issue for me.

The location was amazing & just perfect for exploring Corfu old town. The ladies who ran it were so very friendly & could not really do more for you. The breakfast was exceptional … fruit, cereal, Greek yogurt, hand made jams and bread, meats and cheese, cakes, pastries, omelettes cooked to order. They was also coffee, tea and fresh juice. loved the quirky decoration. Easy to get to Paxos and easy to get to the airport .. lovely.

My only disappointment was the shower had quite a bit of mould around the bottom, but because the bathroom in our room was an internal space with no window, it was probably unavoidable… a bit of mould spray could probably have dealt with it effectively. Everything else was fine & perfectly clean.

We enjoyed our stay at Locandiera from the very first moment. Everything was well organised, Anastasia was extremely responsive and helpful in arranging details of our trip. We inhaled a special spirit of this cosy local place. The whole place is nicely furbished and the details made the place magical in all aspects. The room catered for all our needs with comfy beds, clean bathroom, daily cleaning services and even changing our towels. We are certain to return again soon. Thank you very much for the morning breakfast service which was simply spot-on. We made most of being served by an excellent coffee which we drank outside at the guest table near the entry door. We were greeted warmly, given a detailed map of Corfu Town, and given suggestions about what to see, where to explore, and where to eat. Locandiera is in a convenient location for exploring Old Town. It is five minutes walk from the Old Fort, for example. Breakfasts were truly FABULOUS. Diverse foods were put out for us, including fresh hot bread, and our host offered to cook eggs to order for us. Our orange juice was fresh-squeezed.

This hotel is hard to find without navigation on a cell phone. We had printed a map off Google, but the bus stopped for us in a different spot than we expected. After walking blindly with luggage for a bit, we asked for help, and then found Locandiera close by.

The room was clean and comfy and was well appointed. It was very close to restaurants the sea front and the old town shops. There was a pleasant dining room with a contintental style buffet which was well presented and enjoyable

Our room was on the second floor so if we stayed again we would see if a deluxe ensuite(equivalent to our room this time) would be available. The air con was efficient but could be fierce and if turned down didnt keep the room cold enough.

Absolutely fabulous little guesthouse in the center of Corfu Town! We were met by a very friendly woman who allowed us to check in early and gave us a lot of information about activities, sites and restaurants. She also helped us arrange our fishing trip! Our room was a very good size, and the bathroom had an excellent shower. The breakfast is also fantastic; there was a good variety of homemade food, as well as eggs made at your request. We'd definitely stay here again when in Corfu! Thanks!
