We loved everything about this hotel. First and foremost the staff were so warm and welcoming. We were greeted with cold water each time we walked into the hotel (it was exceptionally hot) and they were happy to help us with organising tours and activities. A special thanks to Dimitris and Stratos who manned the desk and who treated us like family, as did all the staff. The hotel was beautifully decorated, with a lovely sitting area/bar in the lobby and a beautiful garden out the back which was where we had breakfast prepared by the lovely Alexandra each morning, and where meals were served. The room was tastefully decorated, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a beautiful dinner cooked by chef Themis on our first night and ended up eating there again on our last. The house made olive paste and dips served with warm bread were delicious, and the talagani cheese served with a fig paste was divine. The octopus carpaccio and the beetroot salad were also standouts. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel which has been one of the best we have stayed in.

Theo the owner had done a wonderful job developing this lovely old building. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the beautiful courtyard was a lovely place to relax for an evening drink and for breakfast. It was an easy walk to the centre along the sea front. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

The ground floor room had no view. Although there were great quality Nuxe products in the bathroom they were in single use non refillable plastic. It would have been nice to have had locally produced more sustainable products with less packaging.

Firstly i cannot say this enough, the staff is very friendly and make sure you fell comfortable. Thank you Stratos, Dimitris, and everyone in the Acanthus team. Hotel is very beautiful and every small detail is crafted really well. Rooms are modern, air conditioned and very clean with an amazing shower. Wonderful freshly cooked breakfast, delicious eggs done the way you like with nice coffee and juice in the backyard. We also had dinner at the hotel on a jazz evening, this was really cozy, highly recommended. Perfect location with main attractions at a walking distance. A few meters from the sea, 10 mins to a beach, 15 mins to the old down and 10 mins from the airport with a bus stop a few meters from the hotel. Would definitely recommend and visit again! One the best hotel experiences we’ve had.

This hotel is exceptional. It is a recent conversion and the attention to detail in every respect is just perfect. it is cosy, sophisticated, contemporary and cool all at the same time. It strikes the perfect balance in respect of it retaining the character of the original building but making it feel new. Everything you touch and look at reeks of quality, it really is one of the best refurbishments of an old building that I’ve ever seen and I have worked on literally hundreds. in addition to that the staff are wonderful. nothing is too much for them and they make your stay special. This isn’t by accident, the staff have obviously been trained and hand picked for their roles. A big shout out to Dimitri for being so lovely and helpful. I always say that I never give anywhere 10/10 because there is always room for improvement. In this case I can’t think how they can improve things. Well done guys and thank you so much.

Incredible attention to detail. This is hotel designed around the customer experience. Quite simply one of the best hotels Ive stayed in - everything has been thought through - the lighting is stunning… indeed the lights themselves are worthy of note (many antique Murano or hand blown local glass); the food is all home made including the jams , honey, yogurts and breads at breakfast. On Thursday night there is an amazing jazz trio that play throughout dinner - perfectly judged in terms of repertoire, balance and loundness and the perfect complement to some of the best food that I have tasted in a long time. The beds are super comfy; the luxury amenities generous, the robes and towels deeply luxurious…. but what perhaps makes this hotel stand out from so many others is the quality of the staff. Always smiling; always knowledgeable; discreet yet attentive; polite yet friendly. This is a team that is experienced, exquisitely trained and yet deeply authentic and balanced in their r professionalism and charm. The owner - a Greek South African - spent many years in the Fashion industry as a designer - it shows. This hotel is the perfect example of how design meets function and where everything has a place but has not been overpopulated with things simply for “design’ sake. Perfectly judged and brilliantly executed. What a find.

That we only had one night there

Great hotel location with exceptional staff. They were always ready to help and made sure guests had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the staff and learning about the history of the hotel. Our room was modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast made for a lovely start to the day. We also had the opportunity to try their room service where the portions were plentiful and the food was tasty.

Delightful boutique hotel, beautifully and artistically renovated. We had the balcony room which was spacious and attractive with tiny balcony looking to the sea. Location is good, about 10-15 mins walk ( by the sea) into town. Breakfast is continental style ( croissants, pain au chocolate etc) with the additional offering of cooked options too and usually a Greek savoury home made savoury pie slice (e.g. spinach / feta). Decor and design is exceptional including in the garden where tables are laid. Staff are helpful and it’s a very personalised interaction…totally different from chain hotels.

- Challenging to dry anything in wet weather (no heated towel rails). - It would be good if the cooked breakfast options were offered / mentioned BEFORE rather than after one has eaten a basket of bakery items and pie…..one could pace oneself better. - Leaving!

Beautiful Hotel, with exquisite interior design and a very comfortable bed. The location is great, short work to Korfu old town and 5 minutes drive to the airport, but it's still a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere as soon as you get into the hotel. All the staff was very attentive and professional. The hotel has a beautiful back garden were you can have dinner (highly recommended) and the tasty breakfast is served in the morning. We enjoyed our stay and would come back for sure. Thank you.

the location was excellent. just a short walk away from the old town. The small boutique hotel was beautiful. the reception hall and courtyard were amazing. The room was beautiful and modern. everything was so clean and though of.

The only thing that made this five star experience a four star one, was the sound proofing of the room. because the windows were old and our room was on the floor level you could hear everything. and the noise from the people at the hotels courtyard really bothered when trying to sleep.
