Elea Suites & Residences is in a beautiful location surrounded by scenic olive trees and is run by a beautiful family who attend to your every need. It is a very peaceful place with an authentic atmosphere and is only a five-minute walk away from the beach and other facilities such as restaurants and small supermarkets. As soon as we can, we will definitely be returning to Elea Suites & Residences.

Everything here was absolutely amazing. The staff are so friendly, especially Sophia, Yannis and the other woman who worked there (I didn’t ever catch her name). No request was too much and they gave amazing recommendations whenever we asked. The room was perfect for 6 of us, everything was so beautiful and clean and housekeeping came every single day. The pool was lovely and the food there is exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this place any more and would love to go back!

There wasn’t much they could improve on, the only slight issue we had was the kitchen could use a few more pans, a measuring jug etc. We struggled slightly when cooking for 6 of us. However everything else was amazing.

Had a wonderful stay - we had an issue with our aircon on the first night and by breakfast they had sorted it out. They were very attentive, even putting out extra sun loungers and umbrellas without us having to ask - they just anticipated our needs and then let us know! They were wonderful!

There is not very much to do in the area - which was perfect for us as we just wanted to relax at the pool. But if you want to explore or do some serious shopping, aside from the beach you'd need to head into Heraklion. The airplanes overhead did not bother us coming from London, but it might bother some people.

Staff were so attentive and kind .. every single one of them. A real family business who take pride in their “home”and really make you feel welcome Stunning pool facilities with the most amazing sun loungers . Food in restaurant was great Rooms clean and beds really comfortable Lovely area with beach and restaurants very close.. 5 minute walk .. lots of choice for all price ranges

The property is exactly as advertised ! Beautiful and very confortable rooms . The owners go above and beyond to make your stay as confortable and enjoyable as possible . We really felt like we were staying with family.

Two things that in my opinion need to be looked at: - they have a cat on site . He’s the sweetest thing and he’s well looked after. But because he’s mostly outside, his skin seems a bit sore. Maybe a quick visit to the vet to get him checked. - we booked a boat trip with the hotel and we realised on the day that most people on the trip have payed less than us. I think the agency charge extra when you go through the hotel . I would recommend booking directly in town .

The villa was spacious, private and super clean. If your looking for modern the villa is not for you as it’s classic Greece with a real quirky style, we loved it. For modern try one of there brand new apartments over looking the pool. The family who own it were wonderful and so accommodating and the food was delightful

Warm welcome from the hosts who were super helpful and kind enough to change our room after I had accidentally booked the wrong type. Really helpful in recommending local restaurants and places to visit. Very chilled, friendly vibe overall. Food was delicious and pool was a lovely addition to a relaxed place. Have already recommended to friends and family and would go again.

Pretty pool area with lovely breakfast/snack menu at poolside terrace. Beds very comfortable and linens and towels changed regularly. Owner and family extremely helpful and gave great suggestions for beaches and restaurants to visit. We even had veggies from the garden.

Bathroom small and difficult to manage water escaping from shower area. No dry area to place belongings whilst showering. Shower curtain was a bit of a nuisance. Kitchen area needs upgrade but this could be work in progress as others looked more contemporary in photos. No work surface available to prepare food.

Giannis and his team are the perfect hosts for your stay and vacation in Gouves. Everyone is so kind and offers you help whenever you need it. We felt comfortable and are already missing the hosts. The hotel area is very nice and clean. You can relax there, go for a swim or eat something homemade until late afternoon. Also the interior is beautiful and well chosen. Our apartment was very cozy and clean. Everyone has got his own balcony, so you have got enough privacy. The breakfast was awesome! The homemade banana chocolate pancakes were the best we ever had and a pleasure to eat. You will get a basket of bread, marmalade, coffee or tea as well and something sweet and after that you can choose between four amazing main dishes. All of them were great and delicious. A must have, when you stay at Elea Suites Hotel. The hotel is also located very well. It takes five minutes to the beach and to be surrounded by some great Cretan taverns. It was easy to get there by bus, if you arrive at Heraklion Airport. All in all we loved being there for two weeks and we can recommend a stay to everyone!

We would recommend that it is better to rent a car if you are looking for to stay for a longer time in gouves, so its easier to get to the supermarket or another beaches. Giannis helped us finding a car to rent, so we could go for another places by car on some days.
