We arrived late afternoon and Nikos was waiting for us outside. We got the bags out of the car and he showed us where to park. Astoria have a dedicated car park behind the building and he has a camera to watch the car park. It's a very safe area, so you don't have to worry about the car..saying that doesn't mean you keep your valuables in the car. We took the room with a balcony and it was facing the port. The balcony was big and had comfortable big seats with a shade that you can control. There is ample sun if you want to wash anything. It will dry off very quickly especially in summer. The room is quite big and had a big TV. All Greek channels but Channel Star puts English movies. We were there to get the late night ferry to Italy. It is a very comfortable room, outdated furniture, but it gave us a smile as we walked in. Nikos is brilliant, always has a smile on his face. I am sure if we asked for anything he would have sorted it out. There was a tea tray with kettle, but they forgot to replenish it with tea bags..but it was fine for us as we don't drink tea or coffee. There is a cafe just outside the hotel and serves breakfast. The location is great. Right on the Port. It's not a busy road. When the balcony door is shut you can't hear anything. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, Bakeries and a big supermarket and pharmacy nearby. There is also a beach further down the strip. I recommend the seafood restaurant facing the supermarket..They open at 7pm for dinner. For a 2 star hotel, Astoria exceeds the expectation. Thank you Nikos.

The shower tray area needs to be removed and converted into a walk-in shower.

This was one of the cheapest places that we booked for our entirely holiday. Hve expecting a bit of a dump we were really pleasantly surprised. We found the entire place to be spotless. The room was spacious. Our room, which was a corner room, had an enormous wrap-around balcony.

Our room had a circular bed, which was not something I had encountered before and it wasn't that great for sleeping in. The hotel is located directly opposite the port on a main road, so it is not the most scenic of places. That said, we sat up at night and watched them load a ridiculous number of cars and trucks onto a ferry. They shouldn't have all fitted but it was a fascinating process to watch.

Staff was very kind and very helpful. They kept baggage for us safe while we walked the town before leaving on the ferry the next day. The ferry port and ticket booths are right across the street. There is very good walking along the port and harbour with good outdoor restaurants nearby. We ate at Lithnos, recommended by the staff, and found the food very good. The hotel is on the main busy road, but it gets busy mainly when the ferries are loading and unloading. Our room was quiet, adequate for the short overnight stay and reasonable. We enjoyed staying there. The hotel has a grand entrance, unlike the older buildings around it.

The hotel and room served our overnight stay well. Hard to argue with anything.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in when in Greece and great value for money. Hotel is literally metres away from the port entrance and the Ktel bus station so fantastic location for a transit to or from Corfu. A very plush lobby and the manager speaks very good English. The room has all the usual amenities but the stand out feature is the shower which is of an equivalent standard to those at home in Australia which is unusual for Greece We had a balcony where we could here the resting birds singing away as we watched the sunset. There is also an excellent grill house run by a very friendly couple who serve great food unless you are a vegetarian of course although the Greek salad was good.

Only stayed one night as Igoumenistsa is a transit point rather than a tourist destination in its own right.

Located across from ticket office for ferry to Corfu. Stayed in room with round bed. Interesting and comfortable. Great balcony overlooking water to watch ferries come and go. Left car in hotel lock up parking for 3 nights while we went to Corfu. The best thing about this hotel is staff. Cheerful and helpful. Upon return he lead the way on his scooter to show us way out without going through town. Above the call of duty.

Nikos was very helpful and a can do persona.

The bathroom was poor. The tap needed to be fixed, the shower cubicle was at least 30cm from the floor, difficult to climb in and out of, dangerous. Furthermore, the cleaning in the bathroom was not 100%. No tumbler in the bedroom, only 2 wine glasses. There was a lady on reception the day I checked out, certainly not as friendly as Nikos. Also, it is a port hotel but not helpful with port information. This hotel could easily be better...

The hotel is spacious enough and clean. I especially appreciated the helpful staff and my thoughtfully equipped room.

It is all nice, but you need to keep in mind that the hotel is situated by a busy road and right in front of the port. That being highly convenient might feel a bit noisy for some travellers. I would also appreciate at least some tea bags and instant coffee in the room.

Nice welcome, great position, comfortable and clean. Excellent aircon and good to have the fridge and kettle (no coffee/tea provided, so you need to bring your own). Free parking at the rear of the hotel and option for gated parking at extra cost, but we've never had any problems. A short walk into the centre and right opposite the port.

Only one drinking glass provided, otherwise everything was great.

Located just across from the ferry, this is a very convenient spot for those who need to catch a morning ferry to one of the islands (or abroad to Italy). There is ample, secured parking behind the hotel, and the staff are eager to help you find a good restaurant for dinner.

The interior of the hotel is quite dated, but still comfortable and clean. The only potential issue is the lack of sound-proofing between rooms ... noise from the hallway is easily heard, though thankfully the hotel was not too busy when I stayed there.

The location is perfect since it is right in front of the entrance to the port to go to Italy. It has a safe parking behind the hotel and the staff is very helpful and very easy to communicate all the time. There are cafes and restaurants all around the hotel.

The rooms are a bit old fashioned but still very comfortable
