BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE ROOM. AN UPCHARGE WORTH IT. FRONT DESK STAFF & BEACH STAFF WAS AWESOME. VERY GOOD SERVICE. DINNER BUFFET WAS GOOD, ALITTLE EXPENSIVE PER PERSON PLUS EXTRA $$ FOR ANY BEVERAGE. SODA MAINLY

ASKED FOR A CLOTHES DRYING RACK FOR BATHING SUITS. BROUGHT ONE THAT WAS RUSTED & BROKEN... LOOKED LIKE IT WAS 100 YEARS OLD!! ASKED FOR AN ASHTRAY FOR THE BALCONY ...NEVER GOT ONE. CALLED MAINTENANCE FOR REFRIDGERATOR. THE WORST WAS THE HOTEL ALLOWES EVERYONE TO RESERVE BEACH CHAIRS & UMBRELLAS BY LAYING THEIR TOWELS ON THEM FROM 5AM....AND DO NOT SHOW UP TILL THE AFTERNOON. HAD AN ALTERCATION WITH SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THAT. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION!!! AS IF THE $$ I PAID DID NOT MATTER!!

Food was exceptional as were the staff, who were super friendly, extremely accommodating, and very welcoming. Great chilled vibes, a very good stay indeed and absolutely no qualms in recommending to others, especially considering the price too!

The indoor and outdoor pool altho spotless was absolutely freezing and felt "colder than the sea", much to my husbands dismay as he spent 8 hrs a day in there with our very excited 5 yr old. The cleanliness of the hotel was fair to good - the bedding was clean as was the gardens, pools, hotel communal areas and restaurant. However even though our room was cleaned daily, little things like hairs, cobwebs and spots of dirt/blood were obvious in the bathroom/walls when you had a closer look rather than a sweeping glance. However, this did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay, and purely on the delicious and plentiful food and fantastic hospitality we would definitely be open to staying again in the future.

Excellent breakfast, Quiet surroundings, with large pool, adjacent to the sea. Ample room adequately equipped. Air conditioning was quiet and modern. The rooms were very clean and sealed with sanitation seal The hotel provides pool/beach towels and life guard. Personnel is very friendly.

The wooden bed was old and creaky . Could not enjoy private moments with my company, There were no slippers in the room. The bathroom towels were small .The restaurant was not functioning ( mid September) though pool bar provided a limited choice of standard hotel food (nothing to write home about)

This was simply my best experience with the hotel over 5 last trips to Greece. Filoxenia Kalamata is a great one with respect to everything. One one hand, it is large and comfortable one, with many facilities and inner courtyard with pools and sun-loungers and even a private beach where you can safely let your kids enjoy swimming and having fun outdoors. On the other hand, it looks like a cozy place and offer the vibes of a small friendly beach inn, as the buildings are only 4 floors high, and everything perfectly fits the environment. The personnel is super-friendly, the breakfast variety is impressive, and the quality of the food is high. The pebble beach accessible from the inner yard is also very good.

The only point that can be improved: would be nice to have tea kettles in the rooms.

Great pool area, beach was very nice. Breakfast was great. I had the lunch buffet twice, it was good.

The first room we were given was very outdated and uncomfortable. They did move us to a much nicer room upon request. It appears some rooms are updated and some are not. Actually we moved three times before we got a decent room. Also the tile in the reception area is old and uneven. I tripped on it and busted my butt. I was lucky I didn’t get hurt. Also the bath towels were old and done were yellowish.

While the hotel itself could use a little renovations, the staff and the grounds were amazing! Given my room was a little small, they moved my family to a bigger room the next day! Oversell, the hotel was very clean. The pool area and beach were gorgeous and the entire staff- from the restaurants to the pool to the beach to the lifeguards were all a pleasure to be around- my one child has allergies and the chef and staff were attentive to that with the chef making her a special breakfast everyday! We had an excellent stay and we will return!

The only recommendation is maintenance to overall hotel! Other than that, the hotel was amazing!

The hotel staff was very nice to us and friendly, always happy to help with each request, happy to explain everything, chatty and smiling all the time. Breakfast was 6/10. The tidiness of the room was amazing as cleaning lady was coming to our room every day. Bar staff was nice as well, they were even coming to the beach to serve us. Hotel staff helped us with hotel transfer arrangement as well as bike rental. Overally very pleasant experience with the hotel.

Not as much wit the location itself ... the city of Kalamata is not really a tourist destination to go to be honest ... there was literally nothing interesting there. Most of the restaurants were empty and city centre was full of very old domestic Greece people, who were just drinking alcohol on terrasse of some of the pubs there. If you just want to come to some place and go sightseeing its not really a place to go for you, but if you want to peacefully chill on the beach its ideal tho.

The staff and service were fantastic. Beautiful property in a great location and on a nice beach. Good breakfast.

The rooms can use a bit of maintenance.
