My seventh stay at the delightful Hotel Pelican, and it once again lived up to our expectations. Chryssoula and her team run a very friendly, efficient and customer-focused business, and will do their very best to ensure that you have whatever you need during your stay. Our room had a balcony with a glorious view over the town to the sea, and to the sunsets. Perfect with a glass of Ouzo and some nibbles... My partner really loved the range of breakfast items available, especially the home-made cake! We were also able to borrow a beach umbrella to use during our stay, presumably left behind by a previous guest. A real bonus, as our cases would never accommodate one. Thanks a million, Chryssoula!

Those with mobility issues need to be aware that the hotel is quite high up a very steep hill. I used to walk up and down it several times a day, but even I have resorted to getting a taxi back late at night if my hip or foot has been painful.

Everything was very good from the moment we arrived. Our room was #18 overlooking the sea. The view was amazing. When it’s night time the view is even more spectacular with all the lights from the town & cruise ships. The room & shower were very large. Tastefully decorated & very clean. Staff were very nice & hepful. They arranged for a shuttle to pick us up at the ferry & also to take us to the airport. About a 10 minute walk to the town. Breakfast was plentiful & tasty. Eggs, bacon, yoghurt, bread, pastries, coffee, juice. A 10+ hotel.

The 200 metre steep hill. They weren’t kidding when they said there is a steep hill but you get used to it..lol. Half way up we would stop for a couple of minutes to catch our breath….lol. It really wasn’t a problem for us. We are elderly (74 & 75).

I loved that breakfast was served until 11am. We didn't Need to rush in the morning. Breakfast was excellent and offered a great variety. I also enjoyed our sitting terrace overlooking the town and water, but it would be nice if there were lounge chairs or something a little more comfy to sit on. The hill from the town to the hotel is crazy steep which we'd read about, but with the heat it was a chore to climb, definitely not wheelchair accessible. Our room was clean and the staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.

Our experience was lovely at Pelican Hotel. All staff members always had a smile on their faces whenever asked any questions and were ready to help us out with any concerns especially about touristic sites and transportation. Cleanliness was good, as well as the comfort of the room. We've got one with a sea/sunset view, which was breathtaking. Even though our days were very windy in Mykonos, we could barely hear it from inside the room. Breakfast was very basic, with choices of eggs, bacon, sausages, two types of bread, some cheeses and turkey breast/ham/mortadella, two types of fruits, plus green tea, coffee, milk and a few juices. Honestly, more than enough if you're there for the experience of the city and the sunset. Reaching the hotel might be a bit challenging as you'd have to walk 200m up this very steep hill, so be ready if you have heavy luggage and you're coming from Fabrika Bus Station - or just from the city center. However, the view, location and services provided make up to that point cause everything becomes so pleasant. A big thank you again to all in this hotel that made this experience so special to us.

We understand that this is out of the hotel's control, but the hike up to reach there is quite challenging. Maybe an agreement with other hotels around to get a shuttle service from the city at different timings of the day would help.

The Pelican Hotel is set just 7 minutes walking outside Mykonos old town. Which is a good and a bad thing. Good thing is that you get more peace and quite, you get a warm staff, that is friendly and helpfull, feels like family. You get big modern rooms, some which are overlooking the town and sea. You get a nice breakfast that caters most travellers, like bread, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs and some typical greek dishes. There is only one bad thing, or let say a thing to consider when you want to stay here. The hotel is set on a hill, you have to walk up, for around 5 minutes. It is easy when you have a car/motocycle. But if you have difficulties walking, or maby have a bad heart/long condition, this might not be your place to stay, because it’s pretty steep. Overall we loved this place, we also stayed in the city center, which came with a much higher price, more noise and smaller room. Next time we visite we would definitely come back to this hotel, because you get so much more for a cheaper price. We will take the steep hill for granted.

Nothing. The hotel is worth the climb

Right from the booking thier staff was very helpful. Chryssoula kindly accommodated our request for the room. Narinder, was helpful with luggage and morning team served great breakfast. The hotel is clean and rooms are decent size with beautiful balconies(we stayed on the upper floor). Highly recommended. Location is perfect but it’s 2-3 min steep walk which is manageable with frequent breaks while climbing up.

Steep walk. Perhaps they have a pick and drop option similar to other hotels opposite.

It's a hidden gem of a hotel in Mykonos, the front desk staffs are very polite and gentle. They always try to help you out with good suggestions if you need to check anything with them. They provide the airport/port pick up/drop off as well (you need to let them know one day in advance). Double room where I stayed had a wonderful sea view from where you can see the beach, Windmills and Little Venice as well. Rooms are big and so is the washroom. They do room service each day. Also the breakfast options are plenty and a must have.

The uphill climb with my kid in pram was a bit exhausting, it has a steep climb of 100 m from the city main road to the hotel. But again that has got nothing to do with the hotel as such.

This is a lovely small hotel with amazing views over Mykonos Town. We loved it here. Good size room, big bathroom, very clean and with good breakfast included. It is very close to Fabrika bus station, from where you can get to many beaches, to the port and to the airport easily, and also very close to the the center of Mykonos Town with all its attractions and restaurants. If you feel that the noise from the town is too much at night, you can close the blinds and it gets pretty quiet. If you rent a car, they offer parking, which is very valuable in the area. Parking on the street is quite tricky. Regardless, of the (minor) issues listed below, I think this is a great value for money hotel, especially for the prices on the island.

The major downside is the steep walk to the hotel when you don't have a car. 260 m doesn't sound like a big distance, but when you travel with two big bags and a stoller, it can be A LOT. So be prepared! Also, the wind is pretty strong up there, due to the high location, so just be aware of this when planning evenings of the terrace and leaving bathing suits/towels to dry outside. Each morning we would find something blown by the wind on the common grounds. :)
