This was our first time in Mykonos as a couple celebrating our honeymoon. We chose to stay at ilio Maris and boy let me tell you everything there was perfect, it met our expectations. Peter at reception was so kind and helpful with our needs , he went above and beyond to also show us where to go and what to do and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. I still can't thank him enough for introducing us to a local restaurant which by the way is his favourite too. We ended up eating at least 4 times during our 6 nights stay. The other staff who controlled each area were just as helpful and looking after the guest and fulfilling any needs. Breakfast timing was great, was open until 11 am and this gave us plenty of time to sleep in from previous day activities and still not miss out on breakfast. A very great range of food at the buffet to choose from.

The only thing we didn't like was the TV in our room. This being a 4 star hotel , you would expect to have a nice smart TV, as it was so old and dated .Unfortunately we ended up watching what we wanted either on our phone or using our laptop.

Location, Cleanliness (the cleaning staff are doing an superb job !). Hotel staff is nice, quite a young team.

Although the location is great, it is located on a main road and next to a very big parking which tend to be noisy especially at night. Rooms are not soundproof (no expectation there) but hotel guests should be more attentive to that and more quite when on balconies or when they shut their doors or during late night conversations/partying. Breakfast is so-so, they should have someone do eggs and pancakes on the spot, not nice to eat this cold). More attention/care should be given to guests at the pool, with regular attendance rather than guests going inside to ask for drinks/food.

The location close to town. However, the proximity to the public parking is strange.

The public parking on the side of the hotel should be better separated - maybe a greenery or a bush hedge would help?! Don’t expect too much privacy as the rooms’s balconies are pretty much unseparated… The rooms could be better cleaned. The shower was kind of rundown, with set-in rust-like on its floor.

The property is located at an amazing location very close to the mykonos town and old port and of course the famous windmills of mykonos, as well as a 10-15 mins ride to the new port by a taxi. The staff were very humble and friendly and helped in everything. :) The breakfast was excellent. Loved the little tiny savoury pastries. ;). Overall, an amazing experience. I will definitely stay here again.

The water. All the water in all the taps, bathroom shower as well as basin was very salty. It felt like i was having bath with sea water. The smell that remained in the bathroom after a shower was a bit bad. It smelled like sulphur in there. But i guess thats how the mykonos hotels use the sea water to supply for domestic use. Im not sure. But nevertheless, i loved everything else about the hotel and i will definitely recommend staying here and will also come again to stay here only. :)

Very clean room, welcoming helpful staff, great location - short walk to town and you don’t have to drag your suitcase through Mykonos towns bumpy sidewalks, great sunset views, safe area - the walk on the road down to Mykonos town can get a little crazy because there isn’t much of a sidewalk, but you’re not on it for long (like 6 min) before you reach the pedestrian streets. Breakfast was very good too and open late 11 am). The people at the front desk recommended some great restaurants and told me what areas to explore for different things (dinner, dessert, drinks, party). There is a small beach nearby and the water is very pretty, but if you go specifically for a beach, some of the other larger beaches in Mykonos are much nicer. I was extremely happy with the location and my stay.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Me and my partner booked and had the most incredible room. Views were exceptional and the room was cleaned daily. The staff were absolutely outstanding and catered to any wishes, big or small. Special thanks to the barman who was friendly and personable throughout- always reminding us how bad the weather was in England back home! This stay was everything we wanted and more, less than 10 minutes walk from old town, a short taxi from the airport, could not have been in a more convenient location. They even allowed us to leave our bags after checkout and use all the facilities at the hotel. We will 100% be booking again next summer.

Breakfast was excellent, large range of options for a smaller / boutique hotel. The pool and pool bar area were an unexpected bonus. Lots of under cover areas to sit and the staff were attentive. Umbrellas and many pool loungers were great too, as were the floating bean bags in the pool. Location is a short walk down to Mykonos Town (there is a hill which is uphill on the way back). The room was a bit tired, but for the price we paid, that is expected.

The water is not drinkable (which is fine), but it is really salty so you feel like you're showering in sea water. The towels / linen didn't seem as clean as they could be, maybe due to the salt water.

Great hotel for our 5 nights in Mykonos.Well located- less than 10m walk to Mykonos town. Very friendly barman who gave tips on restaurants to visit. Hotel staff assisted with booking transfers and restaurant recommendations. Hotel has great views of the sea and our room was sea facing so woke up to beautiful views daily. Great pool menu and drinks. Note short steep walk from Mykonos town.

Same breakfast options daily. Miscommunication between staff members that resulted in a pool bill being charged to our room and us having to prove that bill didn’t belong to us. 1 problematic guy at reception that wouldn’t help with luggage from room- we were eventually assisted.

Can’t stress enough how convenient this location was 1min walk into to town was perfect. Staff was amazingly friendly and more then helpful

The location was fantastic—just a quick few steps to the town where there is no vehicle traffic! The massages I received here were amazing. Kosta at the pool bar was fantastic and really made our stay exceptional—go visit him! We only had the breakfast one day, and I was quite impressed by the variety and selection. I expected pastries and coffee, but they had yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon, etc. The pool was great and was busy but not overly crowded. We absolutely loved our stay and will stay here again when we are in Mykonos!

The AC in the room was undersized and didn’t work well, so my husband was very hot at night.
