Ambassador Hotel Thessaloniki

My family and I stayed for an overnight during our trip from Thessaloniki to Frankfurt. We booked a family room for. Our room was quite spacious, with two bedrooms, very clean, very clean bedsheets and towels and some sweets and water bottles were offered free of charge. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We also had comfortable beds and a very good night sleep. If you bring your own car, there is parking area within the hotel free of charge where you can park it near your room. Front office staff was very polite. Area is perfect if you are travelling early in the morning from the near SKG airport.

There was nothing I did not like. Only comment is that air-condition system could be better.

Everything was fantastic. The staff is incredibely nice and polite, from the people on the reception to the waiters in the bar at the pool. The room was always clean, the pool area is amazing, and the breakfast was very rich. Food at the bar/restaurant is not expensive, especially considering the very large portions, and its very delicious. Also, everytime we ordered something to drink we got a bag of chips or peanuts and a bottle of water for free. Would absolutely recommend, and we cant wait to come back here.

Very small detail, the juices at the breakfast area could be colder.

Location: We chose this hotel for airport proximity, and it was very convenient, straightforward, short drive there with no traffic. It is also just a few min drive from the seaside (Perea) with tons of good tavernas, bars, lively night life. Hotel surroundings are green, hilly, and quiet, very nice overall. Service: Great service, quick help with all requests. Breakfast: Fantastic breakfast with many different options and great coffee. Rooms: we rented two connecting rooms, they were very comfortable, nicely appointed, clean, quiet, with comfortable beds. Great WiFi and temperature control. We had very restful sleep before the flight.

Everything was as expected, or even better.

Arrived for one night before a morning flight. Planned to arrive at night, but somehow arrived at noon, and enjoyed it. Pool is amazing, with the bar and the poofs in the middle. The kids really enjoyed it, and not only them. We ate dinner in the restaurant next to the pool. Was tasty and gave very good value for money. Was open until 10pm. Breakfast was delicious, and started at 7am, which was great for our flight. The location: took us 10 minutes to get to the departures in SKG airport.

Air conditioning: in our room it probably knew some better days. Slept all night with it working on highest fan speed and lowest temperature, and room was still warm. Must mention that staff was so friendly that we are sure a solution was found if we asked, but we only wanted to sleep before the flight, and didn’t mention it. Family rooms are in a different building, above the pools. Walking to the room from the lobby or the pool involves 2 dozens of stairs. It can also be reached by car from the lobby, there is an additional parking just behind the room.

Fantastic position near the airport with a scenic view to Thessaloniki, its airport and the Mediterranean Sea. Although I had a late arrival due to a delay of my flight welcome was very friendly and the room was ready, clean and well equipped. I particularly liked the balcony to enjoy the fantastic view. Another nice experience was to find the pool bar still open at 11pm and a goodnight drink served by a friendly clerk. Breakfast was really good as well and they assisted me to order a taxi for next morning that worked out well. Overall I can highly recommend the place.

Nothing to complain about.

The Staff, breakfast, lunch, dinner and pool were all exceptional on multiple levels. The food was prepared and tasted so good! No matter the time of day the staff was available and provided outstanding service.

The Ambassador felt like home and the customer service was AWESOME! I like the fact the pool was cleaned daily and the grounds were always clean. The staff is very accommodating. Even though we arrived hours before official check in time, the Ambassador made our rooms available.

For a "close to the Airport" Hotel the Ambassador was very nice. We found the rooms largish, well-furnished. The view from the balcony was hypnotically beautiful-mountains in the afternoon, and the evening a million sparkling lights of Thessaloniki! The staff was very professional and courteous. We had a late lunch there-food was good and prices reasonable, The free/included breakfast was varied ,good, and should satisfy most guests. The hotel is in a "food-desert" so you would certainly need a car or taxi to find other dining choices. The lobby and common areas are spacious and comfortable (welcoming to just come and sit by yourself and read a book, and enjoy the afternoon sun.

It's an airport area hotel People will be coming and going early in the morning, and late in the evening. We found the rooms decently sound-proofed.

The pool area of the Hotel is excellent, it has plenty of sunbeds and the pool is a great size. You can also order snacks or a meal to eat by the pool. We really enjoyed watching the aeroplanes land and take off from our balcony.

I don't like the shower over the bath or the toilet so close to the bath/shower, is very dangerous trying to get in or out to have a shower. The bath is slippery and you don't step onto a flat surface you step onto the curve of the bath.

We booked the hotel before our departure day. Very convenient. Close to the airport (10 min taxi, 10Euro). We arrived early. We were lucky that the first family room that came availble was given to us. We could check in at 13:00 Nice swimming pool. There are hot showers and a changing room. Very convenient when you do not have a room. but still want to shower. Room was good. Beds were rather soft. I liked it very much bu my wife didn't. It depends on what you prefer. The breakfast was sufficient, and dinner was good. If you want to go somewhere else to have dinner, you need a car or take a taxi. But the food at the hotel was fine

Around 3 AM a group of people arrived. They stayed iin the rooms adjacent to ours. The group consisted out of many kids. Someone was going round with a trolly for a very long time. It seemed that maybe 40 trolleys were transported. This sound could be heard very strongly in the room.

The reception, bar, and outside look of the hotel are all really nice. The pool area is exceptional. The staff were all really friendly and extremely helpful, and the food was surprisingly tasty and good quality. Breakfast has a lot of variety and is of excellent quality. The bed was very comfortable indeed. Plentiful free car parking and an excellent base if you're coming to or from the airport.

The rooms are very tired and in desperate need of an update. It's really the only thing letting the place down as otherwise, for the price, this place would get top marks.
