Wonderful location - high above the coast with a wonderful view of the sea and Samotraki island. A very cute two-story building with large, nice terraces. A very good air conditioning system with the possibility of individual adjustment. Quality furnishings - comfortable beds, bed linen, towels. Bathrobes and towels available for the beach and pool. Own beach with umbrellas and sunbeds - stony, but this is typical for Greece. Rich and tasty breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to have quality espresso coffee. We are extremely pleased. Very kind and responsive staff and management. Thank you King Maron!

An excellent hotel, not only for the quality of the facilities (super clean, quiet, great views and everything is delicious) but also for its pleasant and attentive staff. Special thanks to the lovely manager Lia, who is a fantastic professional always ensuring that your stay is a wonderful experience. It was very important to us how well they treated our little dog; they even took the care to clean the room when she wasn’t alone there for not to scare her. Without any doubt, a place where you feel like family and to which we will return for sure as soon as possible.

The staff were extremly kind. The food was really good. The dinners were good too. Great view. There are two beaches nearby that you can play with the kids. If you travel from Sofia - we managed to get there in under 4 hours by car.

It is far from every store - you have to buy things beforehand. The nearest shop (we found) was 40 minutes away with a car.

The hotel is new and very well kept. It has a unique location and a very calm beach with crystal clear waters. Breakfast is delicious and plenty, service is impeccable. The place is also a gem for your pets. Lots of space, lush green gardens to wander. Most important of all, the staff is exceptional, they sincerely make you feel at home. Thanks to Lia (gm), to Chef George for the delicious food, Ms. Sophia (spa manager) for wonderful massages and every single member of the staff for this week. It has been a pleasure for us and our dog. We’ll be there for the opening in May.

The hotel is “on point” - it seemed freshly renovated. The rooms were clean and the furniture was as depicted in the photos, in good shape. The bed mattress was like new, soft but sturdy and so were the pillows. The bathroom was neat, the shower had pressure and good temperature. They cleaned each day and changed the towels daily and the bedsheets daily. Always attentive to the trash and always replenishing the bathroom supplies. The restaurant had a big terrace and such a beautiful view. The menu was “a la carte” and it served a variety of meals that could satisfy the junkie for gyros and also the picky eater that would love the fish soup. The breakfast was delicious, again very varied, and good coffee! The cook always came out of the kitchen to feel and ask the people if they were enjoying the food and to check what/if something was finished. What was weirdly good is that EVERYBODY working there was eager to help to offer a kind word and ALWAYS smiling… truly weird, like they were the ones on vacation. The hotel manager, give her a raise, please! Energetic and always smiling, and took the initiative and learned how to wish “good day” and other basic words in EVERY LANGUAGE that she met at the hotel EVERY MORNING! A really nice “face” for the hotel! The pool was big and clean with a lot of sun beds. There is a shower, toilet, and dressing room near the pool. The bar is as well, near, and the bar staff always smile. It has also a tennis court. Decent! The path to the little hotel beach is made of steps. But it has benches alongside if u get tired. It’s a 2 min ascend/descend but it’s manageable. Harder if u have a stroller. 2 rows of sunbeds and umbrellas for each guest of the hotel. The water is exceptional! The entry has 1m of rocks so bring your water footwear. No music! Just the sea sounds!

I truly have no cons!

This is my fifth stay in King Maron Hotel. It is very well managed, clean and comfortable place to spend vacation.

There were three problems when I stayed in mid September: (1) The Internet connection. It was painfully slow. I thought it might be the case in our room. Nope. It was the same in the entire hotel. (2) Mosquitoes, flies, and bees. It was not comfortable to dine out in the outer restaurant. I was bitten in five different places in 10 minutes during the dinner. I am not sure if the hotel management can do anything about it. But again. I was scratching myself for the rest of my vacation. (3) There was no entertainment (or attractions) for kids during the rain. It was very difficult to keep the kids inside when it was raining and stormy. Show or games for kids would save my parents during the rain or storm. It is a suggestion for the hotel management.

Staff was exceptional. The manager was very nice. Always talking with you and asking if you need something or giving recommendations for day trips. The food was amazing. Very big range of options. You could not get bored with the breakfast selection. The chef was also very nice and talkative. He also mentioned that in the kitchen there are students that practice for becoming cooks. This is even more impressive, because the food quality was good. The private beach was good. Small pebbles on the beach, but bigger rocks at the entry. If you have shoes, all good. You can snorkel, there are plenty of things to see . Water was calm, not so many waves. There were 20-22 umbrellas with 2 sunbeds each, free of charge. Toilet and shower on the beach. There is also a tennis court, free of charge where you can play. The wi-fi was great. You could have wi-fi on the beach as well. The rooms were quiet, beds were very comfy, tvs were HD and you could watch the Euro2024 games.

The location is quite remote. You have the hotel's restaurant, which is very good, but if you want to try something else, there are 2 more restaurants nearby. The closest one, i can recommend, the next one (near the intersection), not so much. Besides these 2, you need to go to Komotini, which is like maybe 30min drive. Beverage prices, were a bit high compared to the food which i found to be very reasonable, if not cheap, for the size of the portions. There was a staff shortage during the last days and my friend's room was not cleaned for 2 days. It's not that bad, but just for transparency.

If you want a quiet vacation, this is the perfect place. The hotel and its surroundings are well maintained and the view to the sea is special. The staff is extremely kind, ready at any time to respond to any requests. The breakfast is varied and the products are of good quality. The hotel restaurant is open all day. The rooms are cleaned daily. The pool is big enough for all hotel guests. Towels are provided both for the pool and for the small private beach. A car is absolutely necessary if you want to visit the surroundings.

Nice and quiet location, perfect for a relaxing holiday far away from the crowd. The hotel is new, with an attractive design and a small, but well maintained domain direct on the see shore. The personnel is kind and polite, willing to help. The hotel has a small and quiet beach and it's featuring a modern swimming pool, as well. We enjoyed the breakfast, with a lot of local specialties and a good coffee. The restaurant has local dishes, large portions and fair prices. The terrace of the restaurant has a spectacular view toward the see. For the ones who travel by car, there are enough parking places in front of the hotel. In a nutshell, a very pleasant experience.

There are not so many options for lunch and dinner around the hotel. The closest village, where a minimarket is available, is 5 Km far away. Therefore, the minibar in the room should not be empty.

This place stands out as a true gem in Maronia. The hotel facilities are superb, to say the least, and the breakfast buffet coupled with the chef's personal attention is simply exceptional, including great coffee! Ms. Lia, the hotel manager, and her staff create a friendly and cheerful environment with courteous and professional service for all the guests, so that even the pickiest traveler would feel as comfortable as they would at home. Overall, this place is an excellent choice for a comfortable and relaxing seaside vacation away from busy towns, streets, or huge crowds, where you can get pampered by friendly hosts with smiles on their faces.

The pebble-stone beach is private and quiet, and the sea is fantastic, even though access is a bit demanding up and down a steep path. Water shoes are recommended since the sea bottom is covered with big rocks as you begin to walk into the water.
