Due to flight delays I arrived at 3am and was nervous about navigating my way there, but it was a very short walk from the airport and I felt totally safe! All the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great.

We needed just one night after arriving late at the airport and this was perfect - clean, close and comfy. We were unsure whether walking to the hotel with our bags late at night would be sketchy, but we (a couple in 30s) made it fine at about 11.30pm local time with no issues. It is literally 5 minutes walk. The streets were quite dark and a bit deserted so whilst we didn’t have issues, a verified cab at the airport should also be cheap if you prefer that. They had free purified water from an Eco Filtro (which you’ll see everywhere around Guatemala) which we love as stops you needing to buy endless bottles.

Noise travelled quite a lot between rooms but often the case - didn’t ruin it for us.

I think someone from the staff was playing really loud music in his phone since 5am. It felt like someone had a speaker next to my bed and couldn’t sleep anymore.

we actually did not even end up staying here because I use a walker and my friends had very heavy suitcases and when we walked in and realized that we had to climb flights of stairs and that the bathroom was on a different floor we knew we could not possibly stay there. But the manager was so nice and immediately found us rooms in the hotel next-door that were more expensive but met our needs better and so for that reason I’m giving her a top score. My friend stayed there the night before and enjoyed it very much although she said the walls were very thin. It’s right across the street from the airport so super convenient.

The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The cleanliness of a location is the most important thing for our family & Hostal Donde Regina was incredibly clean. The staff were friendly & super helpful. We needed a shuttle to the airport at a very early time & they helped us arrange transportation. They also had THE BEST breakfast we had the entire time we were in Guatemala. Dining on the patio made our morning extra special.

The staff were really lovely and very communicative before my stay, which helped. The courtyard for breakfast was very nice and the person on reception always went above and beyond to help with any queries.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Nothing major, but it would be good if they had a spare toilet role in the bathroom, rather than needing to go to reception to request more.

I booked a larger room for 3 people...it had four beds. The room was in the basement. Room was spotless and beds were very comfortable. I just wasn't very keen on being in the basement with a couple of small windows high up in the room. The room was great otherwise.

Hostal Donde Regina is the ideal place to start or end your trip through Guatemala. It is walking distance from the airport and in a safe neighborhood. You get a fantastic breakfast and you can also order food online s4 in the evening. The person at the reception will help you with this!

Room was super spacious and bed was enormous and so comfortable. We got picked up from the airport and they also coordinated our transfer to Antigua. Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good. Would definitely recommended for anyone arriving into Guatemala City Airport in the evening as the hotel is less that 5min drive from the airport.

We stayed here for one night as we had late flights coming into the city and wanted something close to the airport: this hotel is very much walking distance, right around the corner. Despite it being so close to the airport, it was actually really quiet! The staff were so accommodating, as our flights were delayed a few times and they were there for us to check in after midnight. The beds were really comfortable and even with a shared bathroom, it was spotless! We'd definitely recommend a stay here whether you are in transit or want a clean, safe place to stay in GC.
