the lodges are brilliant, a nice littel stay, although a little on the expensive side. but if you have kids, perfect choice for a nice family treat. The room was spacious. The staff, from the cleaners, to the check-in staff, to the concierge are very friendly. No water is not provided in bottles but in a dispenser, in efforts to reduce plastic wastage I guess! which is a fab move. The rooms do have a slightly musty smell though, but not as bad as some rooms we have stayed at on our trip so far. I would definitely recommend and if budget allowed, would stay here again! They provide a free shuttle to Disneyland.

They do not offer any discount (not even a little), for park entry, even as a Disneyland hotel guest! Prior to checking in, I did ask about airport shuttles, which they said they didn't have. But did not take the initiative to say there was a free shuttle from disneyland resort to the hotel that way, which might have been useful and more budget friendly for me than having to pay for a taxi from the airport to the hotel - which is not cheap.

Disney Explorers Lodge is the newest property/hotel amongst the 3 Disney has on the island. This hotel opened in 2017. Not really sure if it is the most affordable (note this is still Disney, so expect to spend), but a quick Google search will show that it potentially is. Anyway, just book any of the 3 properties. You will not regret. If you have kids, they will forever have cherished memories. Guaranteed. This property has 3 restaurants, a nice large recreational pool, a kiddie play area and 4 gardens to explore. The cast members from the front desk, to the gift shop, to the restaurants are all very professional and friendly. One of head waiters/managers at Dragon Wind (Chinese restaurant) even advised us to just call the front desk if we needed to have the food we had wrapped warmed up for future consumption. My family deeply appreciated this because we did not want the food to go to waste especially since we are unable to finish all the generous servings in one sitting. The hotel is also very organized. There are buses that charter you from the property to the main theme park from park opening to closing. Also, they have a great system and an area where you can leave your luggages and bags in case you plan to check out and still spend the day at the main park. My reco is to leave your things at the hotel storage area instead of the park's because the one at the park is often full. You will also have to fight for space with non-hotel guests if you opt for the park storage area. Hence, bottom line is stop thinking and start booking! Disneyland Resort and Park will truly give you and your family a magical experience!

We should have stayed an extra night, so we could have enjoyed the pool. That is on us. Obviously the price of the food at the restaurants could be friendlier to the wallet, but this was expected. It is Disney, and you should be prepared to spend. It is a holiday with the family, so you should expect to spend. Magical memories come at a price. Thus, if you are able to afford, it is so worth it!

We requested a connecting room for birthday celebration. Hotel did arrange two connecting rooms for us. Comfort Bedding and Rooms are clean with adequate towels and utensils for our family. Delicious Buffet breakfast are included (Kids aged 11 need to pay on top)

Could only book swimming session on the day but not the next morning (request to walk-in for waiting) Reception should have notified guests the peak hour for having breakfast at Check-in. We have been queueing up for 45 minutes to get a seat for breakfast. Try to avoid having breakfast between 9.15 a.m. and 10 .15 a.m.!!!

The details were exceptional, location was great. I couldn’t decide which hotel to choose but after seeing both I’m glad I chose this one. Pool was awesome.

Eating in the restaurants, cafe and at the park were extremely expensive. Not just on the higher side. extremely high

very good smell upon arrival, very welcoming ambience and cold temp. also the souvenir store and just the room itself, the shower, the shampoo

ofcourse everyone knows it’s a bit pricey especially the food. but what can we do?

With the recent spat of bed bugs worldwide, we checked every corner before shifting our things in glad to report the rooms are really spanking clean. Rooms were big and spacious by HK standards. Beds were huge - can sleep a family of 4 easily. They were super comfortable too - not too soft, very good support. Loved how they were not stingy with room amenities and replenished everything daily.

We didn't get a chance to meet any character meet and greet. Apart from the sporadic show of Disney motifs and the gift shop, you wouldn't have known its a Disney hotel. Also, wishing the breakfast was not so costly. Would have been lovely to eat in the hotel.

The location was fantastic. Tucked in from the outside but still right by Disney. Inside the facility is well maintained, and very well stuffed with things you need: restaurants, souvenir store, play area, pool, etc.

Convenient store is missing, flew in overseas (checked in around 10pm) and had no choice by going into the city for food. Luggage storage was helpful, but on the day of check out, I had to leave the luggage at the front desk, go in the park, come back for the luggages then go back to the park to get on any city buses, or train station. No big deal generally speaking, but I'm the only adult with a 3 years old, that was quite inconvenient...

The hotel is 6 years old and hasn’t aged a day, The theming is amazing, beautiful rooms, nice pool and garden areas. All staff regardless of their position were welcoming, friendly and really helpful.

Wi-Fi was good throughout the hotel, however there was no Wi-Fi available in the pool and garden areas. Considering it’s a Disney family resort, was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a slide at the pool, more kid’s activities, or a kids club to give the parents a break for an hour or two, but not a deal breaker. There are two restaurants and a cafe on site, We only ate at the cafe. Way overpriced! 2 spaghetti & meatballs dish served with soup, 1 fish & chips, 2 cans of beer and 1 soft drink = approximately HKD$738 / AUD$141 / USD$94 double the price I expected to pay and quality was what you’d expect from a shopping center food court.

It’s a pretty well maintained establishment and most staff members were very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable! We arrived at the hotel at about 9am and didn’t expect to be able to check in early, but we were offered the option to upgrade our rooms at an extra HK$100 per room per night with immediate check in. Was pleasantly surprised by this service. We took the complimentary shuttle very early in the morning on our first day, and the same shuttle bus was serving the 3 hotels but when we tried to get back after the momentous show at night, we didn’t realise that the shuttle buses were then split into the 3 different hotels respectively and we got onto the wrong bus to the Disneyland hotel instead. The young gentleman at Disneyland Hotel did us a huge favour and organised for us to be taken back to the Explorers’ instead. Muchly appreciated for that.

There weren’t many dining options that are economical for families. The only cheaper restaurant is the Chart Room cafe but there he’d stop serving for dinner without prior notice, basically forcing families to go for the other 2 restaurants that charge absurd prices. Being a first timer at this hotel, we were staying during rainy weather and we were told by a staff member that we could take umbrellas from the hotel, but then when we approached Tony at the luggage service, he told us that they were for loan only and was quite abrupt. The prices at the entire Disneyland park and hotels are much higher (like double or triple) than those in other regular HK suburbs!

The room is comfortable and the pillow is the type I like. The hotel provides a bed guard which is essential for young kids sleeping. The room is very spacious but the toilet is slightly cramped. The shuttle bus arrived in less than 10 minutes and more buses to picked up after the fireworks show. The food at Chart room cafe is above average and expect the price is doubled compared to the city.

Would be good to provide some toys or activities in the room for the kids. The recreational room could offer more activities. Lack of outdoor playground. Would be good to have a direct entrance to the Disneyland Park
