the spa/ sauna/pool is lovely and our room was nice. the meals were very good and the wait staff great

I was surprised that children are allowed to be in the hot tubs and sauna areas. people come to relax, not to hear children cry in the hot tub. Also, we asked that the air condition be on in our room because it was the first warm day of the season. without screens on the windows for bugs, you can’t open the windows so the air needs to circulate by the AC. it turned off before bed and didn’t come back on. the in-room thermostats don’t actually do anything if the central air is not turned on. these were the only things that were an issue during the stay.

The hotel is really nice with a beautiful indoor and outdoor spa area. The staff was very friendly (special thanks to Fanni and Csongar at the reception for their support making our holiday special and to Kitti and Robert for guiding us through the complex knowledge of Hungarian wines). We had a half board during our stay, which was really good quality (mostly an a la carte menu except on busy days) and the wines available to accompany the meal were among the best of the country. Overall an absolutely amazing experience that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

Not much other than the hotel has dimmed lights in the hallways and restaurant making the atmosphere a bit too dark at times. Also they charge a lot if you visit with a pet (HUF 15'000/EUR 40 per night), which is more than any other hotel we have ever visited.

Well, it is a spa hotel in wine country so what is not to like? Tarcal is one stop up the line from Tokay and is a bit of a one-horse town. The hotel has a nice pool and some water features, plus a sun trap terrace that was quite hot in May so I imagine might become a tandoori oven in high summer. The wine list is an homage to the local furmint grape variety but struck me as expensive. Unexpectedly there were several very good beers from a craft brewery in Tokay called Baz Beer.

The station is a 15-minute walk away and lifts to and from it are not available. The restaurant is largely buffet based with a chosen main course.

The hotel has a great location approximatelly 5 km from Tokaj. Parking was possible at the hotel (two parking lots are available inside). The room was large and well equipped. We arrived with a 9 months old baby and the room was completely prepared (baby bed, baby bath tub). The breakfast and the dinner was included. The food (4 courses for dinner, buffet service breakfast with additional "a la carte" foods) and the service were excellent. Unfortunatelly, at the time we stayed there the wellness part was closed for refurbishment.

The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner (hair on the floor and on the bathroom furnitures) but otherwise the hotel was excellent.

We had a great time in Andrassy Kúria and would love to come back after the renovation is finished. Despite some minor inconveniences, this is one of the nicest hotels in the countryside in Hungary. It has a great spa, good food, spacious and nicely decorated rooms and attentive staff. The management was nice and accommodating when we had to rebook our stay last minute due to illness.

My main concern is how deceptive the pictures on booking.com and on the website are; many of the them are showing how the hotel will look after the renovation and not the current state. For example, we expected a cool bar based on the pictures that is currently non-existent. Everything looks slightly less modern than on the pics... this is why I gave the hotel a good and not a great rating. Also, the rooms are extremely hot and we could not adjust the temperature. The fireplace was never lit :(

Fantastic service, excellent personnel. We've been taken care of on every step. We have 2 little kids and even a baby bath was prepared in our hotel room in case we'd like to use it. Small gown for older one, pastels with coloring book etc. As it was a family trip we valued a lot such small appreciations for our kids and things which can make our stay easier. The food was delicious, the spa was small but looked great and it served our needs. The room was clean and nicely designed. A pianist was playing during dinner. The wine card and offer were amazing, welcome drink was as well.

The restaurant was too dark. I understand ambient dimmed lights can make a good atmosphere and comfort but some of the tables were completely under dark spots where we could have seen our food barely. We missed the kettle in our room

A luxury hotel with a spa where hand-made pralines await you upon entering the room. It's a waste of time to describe how fantastic this place is because you can see it on the website. I liked the service the most. The concierge organized a tasting of local wines in a nearby vineyard in 3 minutes. The tasting was conducted by the owner of the vineyard. I recommend Hungarian wines. Waiter service at the highest world level. Talking about the wines with the waiter was a real pleasure.

I spent only one night in the hotel :(

Overall service was exceptional, wonderful dinner experience, I am glad we stayed at the hotel for dinner and didn't book somewhere else. The breakfast was also just amazing. This was the first hotel in Hungary, where I felt that people/staff want to deliver their best and improve every day. Zsolt Tajtyi, is the key for their success I think. I really appreciated, that waiters were well trained, you get the service, you would expect anywhere in the world at 5* hotel. Imre Varju is responsible for the dishes, he managed to bring the goulash soup to completely different level. We will definitely come back. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and very calm. The dining experience in the evening is a must have.

For us the tables at the dinner were too close to each other, unfortunately the other couple next to us didn't know the etiquette. So they were speaking loud and making phone calls, that disturbed us a bit, but the wonderful dinner compensated this little problem. My recommendation > please keep a bigger distance between tables. Last but not least, use white tablecloths on the tables, it would put the dining experience to a whole new level in my opinion, like you would expect at 5* hotel, looks way more elegant than that recycling paper that you use right now.

We had a very nice stay at Andrassy Kuria, in a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, equipped with coffee machine and minibar. Everything is very clean, starting with the rooms, spa area and restaurant. The food is delicious and portions are more than sufficient.

The staff is very nice and helpful, but unfortunately most of them do not know English very well and it's sometimes hard to understand each other if you don't also know Hungarian. They should invest in some English lessons for the staff, especially for the ones in the restaurant.

Hotel was amazing, spa was incredible, staff were so friendly, food was delicious.

The only downsides were that the spa allowed young children and babies in so it was not really a relaxing experience as you usually get with spas as there were screaming children. The breakfast and dinner choice were tasty but not much for vegetarians and apart from the reception staff, English was a little limited which is completely understandable as I don’t think they get many English speaking tourists but just something to be aware of.
