The property is charming and clean. A boutique property with just 16 rooms, beautiful gardens, exotic birds (we saw grey hornbills), peacocks, centuries old beautiful buildings such as the baradari in the middle of charbagh, the cenotaphs deep in the garden all add to the unique charm of a hotel in a historic city. The rooms are clean, comfortable and aesthetically done up. The staff are warm and hospitable. Food, simple but good. The fresh produce of the properties gardens adds a special touch.

An alcohol licence should be obtained especially as there is not much to be done in the evenings. A pool is planned and would be a good addition. We hear rooms will also be added - please do retain the quiet and boutique like charm of the place!

Neemrana Gwalior was one of the best places we ever stayed in India. We would highly recommend this to one and all. The poignant setting reminds us of all of the beauty that was India. Gwalior is a chaotic small town but this place is a gem. The care with which these buildings have been redone and maintained is truly commendable. The staff were very courteous and the cooks were wonderful. The food was delicious. They even had high tea in the gardens. The gardens are surrounded by small temples from the 16 to 17th centuries. The gardens attract a variety of birds including peacocks. We look forward to returning to this place again for a longer stay.

Everything was just right. No complaints at all.

I rarely give a 10/10 but Deo Bagh is truly exceptional. All aspects of service, the food, the rooms are first class without unecessary gimmicks that gain 5 stars but add nothing to the experience. As an added bonus, the grounds are wonderful, a mix of formal gardens, ancient family temples and a farm, populated by Peacocks and a variety of other birds, including Hornbills, Coucal and Barbet. All this in the centre of Gwalior.

Nothing that the hotel can control, but there is some traffic noise. One night we experienced music culture wars in the form of mega speakers blasting out competing traditional music and no it wasn't a wedding! Our inflight noise cancelling headphones came in handy.

Property is beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. The gardens are lush and great for early morning or late evening walks. The peacocks roaming freely around the property are the real stars. The staff are very polite, helpful and attentive. The rooms are just the right size. Authentic old style furniture but still quite comfortable. They have good wifi but 4G signal is strong anyway so no big deal.

Although the indian breakfast with local dishes is excellent, the general food menu could be updated and improved - quite honestly it’s not up to the mark of other Neemrana properties.

Very well spread out. Lovely grounds with peacocks, peahens and squirrels running around. Rooms were large and they have left them with a lot of old world charm. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive.

The approach road inside the property is horrendous. Our car was being jostled all over and we were battered around every single time we entered or exited the property. The water pressure in the shower could be improved.

It was a very relaxing setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. How many hotels have their own cenotaphs/temples - fabulous ! Very nice room with a heritage feel. Loved the peacocks in the grounds and the huge bats at night. Breakfast was good and omelettes/waffles prepared on demand.

The boy in reception offered to get us drinks in the evening. Due to Independence Day he was unable to get us alcohol, however he charged us 1100 rupees for a couple of bottles of Fanta/sprite that I’m sure would cost 25% of this cost in the market - feel a bit cheated by this. Are the hotel aware this is happening ?

The property is as beautiful as in the pictures , a quite historic jewel right in the centre of Gwalior within easy reach of all historic monuments. The staff is really well trained and the Managers took great care of attending to all our special requests. The quality of food was very nice as well. The property houses some temples and other tiny marvels. The central lawns are so spacious with peacocks wandering around. The rooms are very spacious as well. We had a great time here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Gwalior.

Frankly, NOTHING :)

The property is beautiful and very well maintained. All staff members are very dedicated towards their work and always ready to help. We were two girls traveling alone so they took special care to ensure we felt comfortable. Special mention to the chef, the food he prepares is homely and flavourful.

Nothing. A few tips for guests looking to book the hotel - Because the property is surrounded with greenery, there are bound to be quite a few mosquitoes at night. Even though the hotel provides a machine, it's best to carry a mosquito repellent cream or solution. Location is slightly away from main city for obvious reasons, but the hotel staff helps in arranging local rickshaw if you request. Ola/uber are not very responsive in that area.

Every thing about the property, the food & the service by staff. It's a calming place to spend a couple of days where peacocks are forever entertaining you. Best part..no TV in the room & no room service. We were there to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday & it was perfect. She absolutely loved everything from the moment we arrived. It's got 7 rooms & 4 suites. Images on their website are exactly what you get to see in person. Thank you kushal, promodji, dhulichandji & the entire team for making our stay a memorable one.
