Everything, the staff were polite and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in was beautiful, it was big, comfortable and very well equipped. Lots of lovely toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet had a huge choice, the restaurant in the evening was as quiet but the food was good. Loafers cafe had the most amazing cakes. There was a pool, which we had to ourselves when we cooled off after a day of site seeing. There is a spa and a gym and although we didn’t use these a member of staff showed us where all these facilities were. The hotel has a small entrance but then opens up to the most wonderful heritage hotel. Uno just next door also has great food and it was quite lively on the Friday evening we went in there.

Nothing really, it was a little further away from some of the attractions but an uber was cheap enough to get into Kolkata centre

Excellent behaviour by staff, especially reception (Mr.Raj needs special mention), dining room staff. Others also very very good. Very responsive to suggestions. Willing to customise food. Good ambience. Mr.Raj at the reception has taken good care to plan our city tour in the hotel car. The driver, Mr. Bipul, was also very good. Morning music by a flutist at the dining hall created a soothing and pleasant effect.

Air purifier needs to be used in the dining hall as many people of different nature and odour assemble there. The exit from the reception is deceptive. Immediately on opening door, it steps down. No warning placed.

A beautiful place in an old palace surrounded by trees and plants .It is very clean ,well maintained and the beds are pure luxury. The whole staff is outstanding friendly.The front desk was supporting us very much. Therefore our thanks to Ankesh, Lusche, Dosse, the lovely lady we don’t know her name and the whole team of Mr.Krishnakanta. A highlight was the restaurant where we got tasteful suggestions for our meals by Kamal,Azizul,Manoj and the chef Suvadish.We had delicious cakes in the little cafe and also always enjoyed when arriving at the hotel to see the huge lovely doorman welcoming us

This was one of our best hotel experiences ever (not just India, but all over the world). The hotel itself has a beautiful architecture with really beautiful & spacey rooms. Everything is very clean, astonishingly beautiful furnished and decorated. Every one of the hotel staff was extremely friendly and forthcoming and went the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable and special as possible. We really enjoyed swimming in der wonderful pool, using the hot steam bath and exercising in the well equipped gym. Oh and the breakfast... there is nothing that you would miss - the only downside: we overate a lot as there was just too much delicious things on offer; so we had to hit gym again ;) This was truly a special hotel stay and we would definitely come back to this hotel once back in Kolkata - highly recommended!

Beautiful property,rooms are big,tasty food, excellent breakfast spread and courteous staff especially Munshi who served us lunch and breakfast took excellent care of us. He sports a gentle infectious smile which made our day. Seems like he really loves his job. Good job Dear Munshi!!!

Location was ok due to traffic. The restroom at the lobby was disappointing. We wanted to drop out bags and change to a new set of clothes and freshen up but the restroom's cleanliness and space was pathetic so we just ended up not changing. Also if you keep/bring complementary sweets at the time of alloting the room will be better instead of coming later when we were resting.

The staff take immense pride and treat you like royalty. Maimur was there to greet you every time you arrived or left the hotel and was very helpful. Prakash welcomed us and helped us in every little way. Even organising for us to have a lounge room to stay in until our plane left that evening with full use of all the facilities even though we had checked out. The rooms are very comfy and breakfast was excellent. Pool small but lovely to use and gym open 24/7 . Would stay here again

The entrance to the hotel is rather small and hidden away, luckily Maimur was there to welcome you .

From the moment you arrive and are greeted by the wonderful doorman, this is a special hotel. We stayed in the Serai wing and the room was spectacular. Large, beautifully decorated,clean and comfortable with the bathroom as elegant as the bedroom. The cleaning staff kept our room spotless. The shared sitting room was a lovely place to sit and read. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with the staff being incredibly professional and attentive. Thanks to Koushik and all the other wait staff. Loafers was pleasant for a sandwich and the East India restaurant was sublime, both the food and the staff. The pool and spa services were also top class. By far the biggest asset is the staff. They were friendly and incredibly helpful. An absolutely beautifully decorated and maintained hotel. Could not recommend it enough.

The only issue was the very very slow service in the courtyard area at night. Someone should be checking at all times for drink and food requirements of patrons. We often had to chase down a waiter.

Very healthy and tasty .A perfect amalgamation of nutrition , taste with indo- western choices .Prompt service , personal care cheerful and soft speaking staff.Bansuri badan was very calming during breakfast.The probiotic drinks ,Greek yoghurt ,methi/ fenugreek, almond water and soyamilk in breakfast layout depicts the thoughtfulness of host towards the guests!!! Chai n Jhalmuri dukaan with regional cultural performance was very refreshing. Thank you !!! Will visit again

Instead of Parathas only ,Mung or Besan chilla can be added or replaced to make breakfast more savoury.

All staff did everything they could to welcome a lone traveller. The breakfast had an extensive range of options and staff were attentive and friendly. I had lunches and dinners there, food was healthy and inspired. I loved the nightly entertainment in the courtyard, which was the perfect setting for it with lanterns on tables. The pool was great too and room quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone else who appreciates Indian heritage and beautifully cared for buildings. A few more tables and chairs at the pool so everyone has somewhere to put their things. A very minor thing !

We stayed at Rajkutir in Kolkata for one night and it was like living in a palace. This heritage hotel feels very special and grand. The hotel looks amazing, with designs and decorations that remind you of old royal palaces. It feels like being in a movie set from "Bhool Bhulaiya," full of interesting corners and beautiful details. The staff at the hotel were wonderful. They were very kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. They really showed the good values of the Tata company they work for. In short, Rajkutir is more than just a place to stay. It's like stepping back in time to a grand and royal past. It's perfect for people who want to experience luxury and history all in one place.
