Absolutely great room. Certainly cleanest and best / most modern hotel and room I have stayed in for mid 2500 Rs. Cannot recommend Landy Queen enough. All staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Boss man (apologies cannot recall name) was a star. Chilled a beer or two 😊 for me for when returning from day trip (bottle shop doesn’t sell cold beer and nobody should need drink room temp / warm beer). Boss also got up at 4am to let me get up mountain for sunrise at Kolukkamalai. Star man. Great hotel with great staff, led by a great boss. Best hotel stayed at in India. Many thanks Boss and staff. It makes a difference.

We enjoyed the location, the owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. We booked a half day trekking tour and the owner drove us to the meet-up point. They gave us a room to shower after we had checked out and returned from the hike, although they were sold out. It was a great stay, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable.

There was construction work during the day, the owner informed us at check in. Still we felt a bit disturbed as we wanted to take a nap after having travelled all morning. The room was extremely cold although there was no A/C. We recommend to bring something warm to wear :)

This was our 5th place of stay in India and by far the best- it had the most comfortable beds and it was the cheapest. But what made this place was the exceptional help from Roney. I’m not someone who generally compliments but Roney deserves them. He helped us out on a few trips and dropped us off at 6.30 one morning so we could go for an absolutely amazing walk. But the greatest help was to sort out our onward trip from Munnar to Kannur. Train from Aluva was booked only seats I could see were wait list but he knew someone with a railways account and knew they released extra tickets day before. Managed to get us one and other on waitlist (only 1000rupees) but with purchasing another open ticket (only 100 rupees) from station we succeeded. Now does this make any sense? No - not to me either but the point being we managed to get seats on what appeared on general website to be impossible task. Roney kept in touch to make sure all was well. Fantastic! Suggested few places to eat - by far the best was Saravana Bhavan - really yummy food and so cheap. Busy all time.

The staff was very very helpful. Gave many very good tips, including hiking routes, arranged loundry, recommended places to eat, explained how to get to my destination point. Felt that I could count on them and just enjoy Munnar. Thank you very much.

Munnar is a humid place, so be prepared that you will feel it also in the rooms. It wasn’t an inconvenience tho as I slept very well during the night.

Beautiful rooms. Very friendly, decent and helpful host. Comfortable amenities provided. Overall the best hotel to stay with family. Safe and secured. Room service is excellent. Located at the centre of munnar so travels won't cost much. Walkable distance to restaurants so food is taken care of. Near by shops to buy homemade chocolates, handicrafts etc Everything about this place is top notch. Would definitely recommend family and friends and we ourselves would stay here again when we visit munnar.

If I could give an 11 for staff and cleanliness I would! Roney was the nicest, kindest most helpful host. He put so much effort into ensuring that I had the best possible stay. He had great suggestions about where to go and saved me money. The bathroom was sparkling and shiny, toilet immaculate. His family have the little shop next door, his mother works there and his brother make the chocolate they sell. His mum is lovely, very smiley. I got sick on my final night and she helped me in all sorts of ways to manage. They have a strong work ethic.

I was on my own and so the room was perfect, it might feel snug with two. Although Roney didn’t offer breakfast there are lots of eating options very nearby

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The host is very helpful and gave us recommendations for places to walk (where there are no tourists) and local places to eat. He is obviously used to having foreign guests and knows what kinds of things we like and was very helpful in that regard.

We only stayed in Munnar for a night so chose to stay in town, which is a bit busy. I imagine if you have a bit more time and your own transport it might be nice to stay away from the main town.

Roni the owner was very friendly and helped with everything , including arranging a laundry service for me and recommending a brilliant restaurant. So he helped me a lot. The room and bathroom were clean and I liked the big sliding window , which was allowing lots of daylight. The location - everything is around 5 min walk distance.

It may be because of my sensitive nose, but every morning the window is covered in water due to condensation and the fact that mornings in Munnar could be very cold. And because of that, there is a little bit of damp smell. Not a massive issue, I really enjoyed the room anyway.

Great value room, in a great location but the best part was the owner(s) who really went out of their way to look after us, recommend things to do, places to eat and even help us book bus tickets for our onward journey! Would stay here again without thinking twice!
