beautifully maintained property with elegant decorations. it’s a boutique hotel with only a few cottages and rooms spread over a decent amount of space, no large ugly buildings and so the common areas/services are never busy or crowded. nice pool and beach. the food at the breakfast was good and the service and behavior of the staff was excellent.

the hotel shows age in several places like our bathroom tiles etc. the air conditioner in our room was also sub par and couldn’t really cool the room properly in what was a relatively mildly warm weather for Puri. the AC also kept making an annoying vibration noise.

Front desk manager response was very arrogant, we have booked for half board & wanted to shift for lunch instead of dinner but he refused saying 8:20 pm is late for this communication as we have never faced such issue in any other 5star properties it was very unusual for me.

We were planning to extend our checkout by an hour since we were not done with packing but we were rushed out since some vip was planning to stay in the same room. We were provided a guest house for our extended stay of 1 hour though.

The location was great....it is connected directly to the beach. The room had a common garden area that had a view of the pool and ocean which was excellent. It is very near the Jagannath Temple (a 5-minute ride in an auto). The staff is very polite. Mr. Ashok took really good care in the dining area on all days of our stay. Other staff, including housekeeping, was also very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good spread. In room, dining was also good.

The property is a bit old and worn out. While it didn't affect the quality of the stay, for the money that they charge, I would have expected better. They have a pool at the bar but it is woefully stocked. They were unable to serve Beer for the entire duration of my stay. Again, for the charges, which exceed good 5-star hotels, better service is expected. The bathroom is not designed well. Shower curtains are short and drainage was not proper - the whole area got wet after each use. Finally, the most disappointing bit was that the kids above 6 years of age as adults. While it is stated in their T&C, you need to read carefully. I would have liked the hotel staff to remind of this at the time of check-in to ensure that there are no surprises at the end.

Breakfast was amazing both in terms of taste and tye variety on offer. Staff were very helpful and attentive.

The hotel should try keeping a couple of rooms on standby when the patrons check in earlier than usual, especially when there are senior citizens involved. The hotel has been more than accommodative in our scenario where they gave us the room access by 9.30 am so please don't take it as a complaint. This is a constructive feedback.

The facilities were excellent. What was superb was the service. I remember Ashok in the Samudra restaurant. He took personal care of us whenever we went to Samudra - breakfast or dinner. He went out of the way to make our trip enjoyable and up to our taste. Overall, a great experience.

There is scope for improvement in the rooms and also in the room service.

The location is superb, very surreal, and relaxing and beautiful. The staff is the best, they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Breakfast buffet is yummy. Lunch at 2 states restaurant was very delicious. Highly recommend it. Mayfair Heritage is a perfect treat for a nature lover and a foodie ! We saw sunset, sunrise, spend time with sea in abundance. If you want nature to heal you, stay here!

The tea served can be better! It could be lemon grass tree or some other flavourful tea.

View from room was okeyish, even though they say it has beach view — it is partly from sideways, it has obstructions

it’s a beautiful property with good facilities. The food is also quite good.

The property is very dated. The rooms are not cleaned very well. Particularly the carpet hasn’t been cleaned in a while.

The taste of the food and the pricing could have been better

The ac was malfunctioning but the staff took immediate action. Apart from that no other complaints.
